Baking children is my passion
Cakey's Twisted Bakery is a short horror game that takes about as long as baking a cake would. You find yourself escaping from a box in a sweetly unsettling bakery. Before you can escape you got to fight off the bakers with cakes before you become the cake. While you're at it you must save your little brother. Well, you don't have to, but you should. The game is a short horror game but it is mostly silly. Sneak around, get some ingedients, start baking and fight the bosses. The gameplay is as simple as it gets but it is well made. The bosses have each their own mechanic and uses decent sound cues. It's a fun little game.

**🎂 Cakey’s Twisted Bakery – Sweet on the Outside, Seriously Unsettling Inside** *Cakey’s Twisted Bakery* lures you in with bright colors, cute designs, and a seemingly harmless premise… and then slowly reveals something much darker underneath. It’s that contrast between cozy bakery vibes and creeping unease that gives the game its unique identity. At first glance, everything feels playful. You’re baking, decorating, and interacting with a world that looks almost too cheerful to be real. But it doesn’t take long before things start to feel *off*. Small details, strange behaviors, and subtle shifts in tone build a sense of tension that keeps you constantly questioning what’s really going on. The game does a great job of blending genres. On one hand, you have light management and interaction mechanics tied to running the bakery. On the other, there’s a psychological horror layer that slowly creeps in without relying on cheap jumpscares. It’s more about atmosphere and discomfort than outright fear—and it works surprisingly well. Visually, the contrast is the star of the show. Bright, pastel environments clash with unsettling undertones, creating moments where you’re not sure whether to relax or stay on edge. That uncertainty becomes part of the experience, and the game leans into it effectively. Sound design plays a big role too. Cheerful music and innocent sound effects gradually give way to something more distorted and uneasy. It’s subtle, but it adds a lot to the overall mood and keeps you engaged. Where the game might divide players is in its pacing. It starts slow, and not everyone will appreciate the gradual buildup. Some might also wish for deeper mechanics on the management side, as the gameplay can feel a bit limited compared to the atmosphere it builds. Still, if you stick with it, the payoff is worth it. **Final Verdict:** *Cakey’s Twisted Bakery* is a clever mix of cozy aesthetics and psychological horror. It’s not about constant scares—it’s about creating a lingering sense of unease while you go through seemingly normal tasks. **Recommended for:** Fans of indie horror, players who enjoy atmospheric storytelling, and anyone curious about a game that turns something sweet into something deeply unsettling. I hope this review has been helpful.
