Mahjong Solitaire

Basically the same game that you get for free on Windows. You can get all the achievements in half an hour. Not to many options, challenges and layouts. Very basic and easy. The developer made no effort to take it on another level, just more of the same... 1.5 / 10

I've been playing Mahjong for decades and never played one that you had to shuffle 2 dozen times just to finish a board. Very bad algorithm in the coding.

All four tiles flowers are considered the same. All four tiles of the seasons are considered the same. The game is finished when all pairs of tiles have been removed from the board. And... Don't forget to use the "Hint" and "Shuffle" tiles when you need it!

Very nice music and beatiful art. It is great game for mahjong and solitaire lovers but there is not many levels.

Mahjong Solitaire is a classic cards game. I recomment it. music is good. price is good. all achievements work.

It's got its ups and downs. If you want the very basics of mahjong rolled into a pretty cheap game, this is for you. Its achievements can also be obtained in just a few games. It's pretty calm, but you'll probably find yourself muting the game pretty early on. Like some of the other reviews state, Microsoft Mahjong is a runner alternative. The hint button can be spammed, the shuffle can be spammed, and it can be a little difficult to see which tiles are available to be matched unless you mouse over them or just know the tile layout already.

Call me crazy but I would think that the people who want to play Mahjong already have played Mahjong in some way/shape/form. If you're like me, then perhaps you're expecting this game to have a game over when no moves are left. While there is a 'no moves left' notification here, this game offers the option to shuffle the tiles and keep playing. Do what you will. Level 7 suffers heavily from poor level design. The odds of getting a shuffle that is winnable without reshuffles is absurdly close to zero, and if you have the habit of eliminating every possible pair you can instead of saving open tiles for reshuffling, then you can get into situations where reshuffles result in not a single new move to do. Having to reshuffle several times to match one pair, get no moves left again, and repeat is frustrating to some (but really I think a fair number of us recognize that we actually lost anyway). If you like Mahjong, congrats: this is Mahjong and you can get it for a fair price. I don't feel like the bar needs to be that high for Mahjong games and as long as the price isn't that high, it's fine for what it is.
