hidden object（アイテム探し系）ADVゲーム。 他の同系統のゲームと違う点としては、ルーレットでパズルを選び、そのお題に沿ったものを解いて進めていくというところ。 クイズ番組をゲーム化したような感じです。（設定としては一応ホラー風） パズルゲーム的な感覚で楽しむことはできるかもしれませんが、これ系のゲームに「ホラーやミステリーな雰囲気」を求めている人（自分がそう）には退屈で単調なゲームになってしまうかもしれません。 パズルとしては難易度が低すぎるし、ストーリーを追うタイプのミステリーでもなく、似たような出題をひたすら最後まで解いていくため作業感がありました。 出題中に、割って入るボーナスゲーム（？）コインのかけらを集めるモードが毎回毎回鬱陶しかったです。 オブジェクトを探している最中に邪魔をするんじゃないｗ 一番難しかったのは、英文で出される「なぞなぞ」です。これは実際に考えて解かないといけないので、英語が読めないと詰みますねｗ 最悪単語など調べながらやりましょう。 ＜世界観レビュー＞ タイトルや設定的に「クイズ・ミリオネア」を思い出しますが、開発者にテレフォンをし続けてやりたいです。 あとは、別に思い入れのない人物らを助けるのもどうでもいい感がありますｗ どうせ淡々とやるなら、もっと問題ジャンルの種類を増やしてほしかったですね。 ルーレットで同じジャンルが出続けることが多いので、またこれかよ感がかなりあるゲームとなりましたｗ

EDIT March 2018: Per Dryspace's comment on this review, I looked up BridgetFisher's review and tried the fix for the resolution issue I had. With that fix in place, I was able to play the game and finish it, though I doubt I'll complete the Extended Play in Jirard-style completionism. So, I change my review to a recommend with that. The plot is basically non-existent, but the antagonist's voice acting is some of the best I've encountered in an HO game. The various game modes give this game a bit of something different. ------------ First, I'll admit that I bought this on sale for not more than two dollars, probably less. While I give the game much credit for the idea and an actually interesting antagonist, I got tired of the game very quickly. The reason for that wasn't the game play, but the lack of an actual fullscreen mode. The scenes are repetitive, but the various types of games helped with that. If I didn't have to have the screen next to my face to see what was going on, I would have probably finished the game at least. It seems a bit nitpicky, but that's a deal breaker in this case.

This is a great game for a variety of hidden object styles and quick games. Long term play with the storyline, revisiting similar scenes with slightly different objects or new objects enhances the length of gameplay with less need for new scenes. Very fun, would recommend!

Straight up HOG with a few pretty easy puzzles. Great for when you're tired of games where you have to gather items to unlock locations and all that nonsense. I liked the different game modes in the later puzzles and the narration was entertaining.

[b]Pros[/b] +The gameshow concept is a good one, but not expanded on. +Variety of modes [b]Cons[/b] +Low-res, dull HO scenes +Practically no story This is a very plain hidden object game. There’s practically no story and it’s just scene after scene of finding objects. After you finish 1 section of 6 rounds, the gameshow “host” will release one of the captured people. The last one being your grandfather. There are multiple modes to play each scene and you spin a wheel to determine which one you start off with. This does bring some variety. During the Bonus Rounds (that pop up mid-scene) you can get Skip tokens to place on the wheel on a mode you don’t like. However, some scenes contain more than 1 round. The Skip only applies to the first round, so you can easily get the one you skipped on the 2nd or 3rd round. The scenes themselves are of low resolution (800x600) with bad perspective and dull colors. This is exaggerated even more when stretched so a modern wide screen monitor. This can lead to a frustrating time finding things. Surprisingly, the voice acting on the host and narrator for puzzle explanation is very good. There is an “extended play” mode after you finish the game. It wants you to complete every scene with every applicable mode. Not something I want to spend my time on completing. I might have if the scenes were in a better resolution or just better overall. [b]Conclusion[/b] Even with the different modes for each scene, the terrible quality and dull scenes move this into the “not recommended” category. Get this only if you’re a fan of the genre. Even so, wait for a $1 sale. [b]4/10[/b] Below Average

All in all I like this title. It is based on a concept that you are playing a gameshow and trying to rescue previous contestants that lost but it isn't a strong story line that keep pulling me back into the game. What does keep pulling me back into it are the new ideas Gogii added to the Hidden Object game genre. Like I said this isn't a strong story driven game much like Artifex Mundi games BUT it does add many new concepts when looking at the same scene; match 3 (adds an extra 2 items somewhere), find 10 like items (adds another 9 items to the scene); Find Alphabet Letters to spell words of objects you must find; Riddle (you need to decipher a sentence to know what to search for), Puzzle (yes puzzle pieces that make up the scene), Combine (kind of deciper an easy meaning that translates to 2 items in the scene), List & Sillouette to name most of them but not all of the modes. There are 12 modes. Also as you play, you get a chance to play 15 second bonus games that let you earn hints, unlocks (to unlock a new mode) & skips (if you didn't like a particular mode). Going back to comparing Artifex Mundi, there isn't any map to this game. It is mainly a game show theme much like 'Discovery! Seek and Find' where the scenes change and not your position on a map. (Thus you don't need to remember where to use an object because you don't pick up any objects to carry around.) The scenes keep changing rapidly so you don't feel any staleness in looking at scenes or for objects. I also find this game moderately hard to find objects and I've needed to use hints. If you like HO games and you want to try something different in the HO genre, I'd suggest trying this game out.
