An absolute masterpiece of a game that I had the privilege to call my favorite game. Monolith Studios can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ miss. They made my two favorite games ever (the Shadow series) and even my parents' favorite game, a small one called "Gruntz" from 1999. It's absolutely such a shame the greed of Warner Bros shut it down. And one more for Warner Bros, ♥♥♥♥ you! I'm actually glad that their patent is revoked. They tried to steal this and not use it, so I'm glad that it was revoked. As for the game itself. It is one of the two games that have the best gameplay system ever. The Nemesis system makes even the free roam extremely fun. The world ACTUALLY reacts to your actions. If you are a bad leader, your orcs will betray you, every orc is unique, and even the grunts can be incorporated into the story if you wish so. I also absolutely LOVE the little orc ally and enemy interactions. Sometimes, when you fail the last chance save, your orc will come and help you out and tease you for not being strong enough. It's so immersive and in-depth that I enjoyed it thoroughly. Talion as a character is absolutely masterfully written. The story is excellent, the ending is such a plot twist and actually held me for the entirety of the game. The gameplay is very nice, the combat is extremely smooth and brutal. The captain missions in the end game are also very in-depth, as you can't just fight 2-3 captains at once on higher difficulties, but plan how to exploit the weakness of each captain. The Baranor DLC is also one of my favorite DLCs EVER. He has a great skill set, I loved all of the characters included, and it felt absolutely worth it to play it many times (as one of the achievements requires you to get gold on Gravewalker difficulty). I love the twist of him not having a ring, thus having one life only. Absolutely recommend it. As for the Eltariel DLC. It sucks ass. Definitely an annoying character, dumb story, and the biggest ick yet, HER SKILL SET MAKES NO SENSE. Your whole moveset is replaced with her light ability, and 90% of the enemies are IMMUNE TO IT. Basically on most fights you summon your captains and use the heal to support them. It's a pain, and one of the achievements requires you to finish all side missions. I hated every inch of it. Although I loved the Talion scenes in the DLC and loved the new orc personalities. If you didn't get this in a bundle, I don't think you should buy it. Also it has a meh ending. it's a bombshell, sure, but I didn't like it. I managed to 100% this game and it was absolutely fun. I think it's very worth it to play and to 100% it. There are no crazy grindy achievements so it wasn't that bad. Hope this helps :)
