DO NOT BUY if you're using modern hardware unless you're prepared to troubleshoot. The game is completely non-functional out of the box. It's disappointing because the game itself is a classic, but the version distributed through Steam appears to be neglected. It is a pity that such an incredible gem of a game is ruined solely due to Steam's laziness. After installation, Steam didn't even create a proper desktop shortcut... the icon was just a blank white file. Worse, the game crashes immediately on launch. The package seems to be using an outdated configuration that lacks the compatibility settings needed for modern Windows systems. Reinstalling made no difference, as Steam simply downloaded the same files again. I tried multiple troubleshooting steps without success. It's frustrating that a classic title is still being sold without updating the package or configuration so it will reliably launch on current hardware. Unfortunately, I had to request a refund. If the game is ever updated to work properly on modern systems, I'd gladly reconsider my recommendation.
STRONG RECOMMENDATION. Although graphics is not that great now, it makes up with the gameplay. Game is a mix between first person adventure game with focus on combat and exploration. Levels are pretty linear but have some secret rooms and passages. Climbing on ropes and platforming sections are fun. I would say it have some similarities to Thief series. Game set in Might & Magic world so creatures like orcs, goblins and dragons are common. Biggest danger palkai, huge dragon flying above kingdom will be one your main enemies. Combat is done well, blocking, dodges and different abilities at disposal. Hard difficulty have some decent challenge. Great soundtrack. Seriously, but this one should be played before jumping into coffin.
Possibly my favorite game of all time. A fun little capsule from another time. Absolutely worth the price. Make sure to download the unlimited mod, and don't bother with the higher difficulties - all they do is double / triple enemy damage without changing up the gameplay. Hardocre enemies will mostly one shot you.
I was born in the early 90s, and I was 15 when this game came out. I absolutely loved it, especially the combat system, skills, and story. It is still one of my favorite games.
Poison Damage: The Game A game by Arkane Studios, made in Valve's Source Engine and published by Ubisoft. The Allies are now turned into the Axis. Now Arkane Studio makes PvP hero shooters, and Ubisoft makes a fancier Microtransaction store, and than start the development on a game. And Valve created Steam and gave up on everything.
- Kick everything that gets in your way - Pick up and throw all the things around you - Swing your sword like Mad man
10/10 + ACTION RPG + Wonderful graphics, story and dialogues. + Works wonderful on not so new machines still as it is from 2006. + Multiplayer is there, which many such games do not have. + COOP MOD allows to play with your friends. = > LOVE IT! _________________________________________ ONE OF THE BEST RECENT ADDITIONS FOR ME. Comments: I played that game in 2006 but I felt it was time to come back to it. I have never found anything great like this which has COOP and has such an INTENSE STORYTELLING.
My top game from Arkane, with Arx Fatalis. Ubisoft, you should make a remake, or a sequel. It was the good old days : Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, 3D Rayman, and this AWESOME game. Stop your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ modern licenses and bring back this gem
Gotta love that source engine charm
