Mickey Storm and the Cursed Mask

I got this on a Fanatical Bundle (a little over $1 USD) and that was just a steal price for this game. This is the gem of the bundle. It's a casual, arcade platformer that is family-friendly. It would be perfect for casual gamers or little ones. I have to admit, while I don't consider myself a "hardcore gamer" this game was still a bit of a challenge, especially getting more than one gem score (you can score 3 gems). There's lots of stuff to unlock (different rides & cosmetics) and 74 total levels. The levels are well designed and there is a build up in the challenge the further you get. You'll have to perform double jumps, glide, punches, balancing your ride, and have to manage your speed going up & down ramps while collecting a ton of stuff while the timer is going down. Lots of obstacles & enemies to thwart your path. The game looks absolutely beautiful with lots of variety. Game is running on the Unity engine. On my RTX 3080, I was running a steady 90 fps. I did not experience any serious issues or bugs. The checkpoints / restarts are pretty generous. You can play 2 player play remote together on steam or local split-screen coop. I used an Xbox one controller and the controls were solid. I have no idea why this game doesn't have more reviews or why people haven't bought it on Steam. I would say it's worth the normal price. I absolutely got a steal for getting this game for just a little over 1 buck. I probably won't play more, but not because it isn't a good game, but simply because it's not the type of game I usually play. Highly recommend this for kids, families, or casuals!

This game doesn't have proper controller support, and even with using Steam Input to map keys to an Xbox controller isn't all that easy. It supports local co-op, but I'm not sure how you're even supposed to do that...I guess hook up two keyboards? Just doesn't seem feasible for most people. That said it looks pretty enough, and plays somewhat like Trials with a tiny hint of Donkey Kong Country in the way you collect things, but I don't feel like dealing with the wonky controls to try to play more.

Really fun game! It's a huge shame it hasn't been noticed by more people. I played Triangle Studios' other game with a similar aesthetic so I'm very familiar with the gameplay, but so far I'm enjoying this one a bit more. I also appreciate that these character designs are more tame/modest. Very highly recommended

En mis 52 minutos de juego que llevo al momento de mi reseña, Gráficamente el juego esta muy bonito, la agüita se ve impresionante, me sorprende lo bien que se puede ver un juego hecho en Unity cuando se sabe lo que se hace, aun que por otro lado la jugabilidad es muy... dura, es un juego difícil, al menos para mi lo está siendo, no sé si un niño puede jugar esto, quiero pensar que sí, hay niños que sorprenden de sus habilidades, pero al menos para mí esta re difícil XD. No entiendo por que este juego no vende, hay juegos más feos que venden mas de 5 millones en 4 semanas... en fin quizá solo le falto difusión a este juego.
