Moral King

The first thing caught my attention is the size of the game. 10GB is really huge, but since it is an FMV (full motion video) it is understandable. Usually, when games use real actors in their cutscenes it doesn't turn out well, however, in Moral King, the game looked great, especially that it has most of the Point&Click elements. You play as a young man who was enjoying his afternoon with his girlfriend before two armored men attacked him and abducted her. He asked around and found out that she is locked up in a castle guarded by a powerful guard. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1543211103 There are a couple of puzzles and riddles, as well as the need for exploration to find out a way to sneak into the castle without alerting the guards. The game mechanics are well done, I loved those sneaking cutscenes and the side mission. It has three endings, the first gameplay took me 40 minutes and the other two didn't take as long as I knew what I was looking for, especially the chest combination and the riddle to get past the guard. Remember those FMV video games back in the '90s? I believe Sega CD gave them a boost but they were very (and I mean very) pixelated. So, similarly to some "old" genres (such as platforming games) it's worth revisiting these, too, in the age of HD contents. This also explains why you have to download 10 GB for an hour or so gaming time. I expected bad acting but what you see is on an acceptable level. Also, I liked the idea of introducing 3 different endings. As mentioned the game is relatively short but well done and the quality for the cutscenes is great. Hope to see more of these from Forester Games!

Zwischendurch hält der Charakter an und wir müssen eine Entscheidung treffen. Meist besteht die Entscheidung aus entweder links oder rechts gehen. Es gibt allerdings auch ein oder zwei kleine Rätsel zu lösen. Das Spiel kommt aus Deutschem Hause und das Acting an sich ist zwar Amateurhaft aber irgendwie steckt auch viel Herz dahinter. Zudem ist es Humorvoll und die Musik ist ordentlich und passend [h1] Achievements [/h1] Es gibt insgesamt 12 Erfolge. Die meisten sind Entscheidungs bedingt. The worst part of this game is that it ends too soon man. 10/10 amazing. Top tier acting. Top tier storyline. Compelling plot. I wish I could relive today just to replay this game through the raw experience it deserves. Definitely pick this one up. <3 <3 <3

This is a beautiful game and a great concept. I loved how simple the filming was, making the most of a lovely castle and not trying to overdo effects etc. This is a really short game, REALLY short. They've tried to make it longer by having three endings and a few achievements, but if I'm honest the replays only take a few seconds. I do recommend this game to enjoy one (albeit short play through) where you truly let the atmosphere sink in. Then just replay quickly to get all the achievements. Don't be surprised when you've done everything in under an hour, but enjoy it for what it is.

Court film interactif allemand dans lequel il faut délivrer notre fiancée retenue prisonnière dans un château. Comme dans les point&click, le curseur de la souris change d'aspect quand on le déplace sur l'écran selon les actions possibles, on a des options de dialogue et des énigmes à résoudre. Le game over est possible en cas de mauvais choix ou d'échec dans une phase de QTE mais il n'est pas punitif car on se retrouve simplement renvoyé à la situation précédant notre erreur. Il existe 3 fins possibles et des succès tous faciles à obtenir en rejouant plusieurs fois mais il faut savoir que la première partie ne dure guère plus de 30 minutes (et les suivantes encore moins si on saute les scènes donc pas plus d'une heure pour le 100%). La progression est de plus très linéaire et si ça évite au joueur de tourner en rond, ça l'empêche également de faire demi-tour et de risquer donc de ne pas pouvoir accéder à certaines actions. Le jeu se montre assez drôle par son humour absurde et son sens de la parodie qui repose notamment sur le décalage temporel entre d'une part l'époque actuelle concernant les décors et le héros et d'autre part les autres gens tous costumés en personnages du Moyen-Âge. Le fait de reposer autant sur cette dimension anachronique rend naturellement le titre ni crédible ni immersif, d'autant plus que tous les personnages se limitent à des profils stéréotypés et que l'intrigue demeure elle aussi superficielle. La réalisation est propre au niveau des images et la structure du jeu est correcte mais le niveau des acteurs est mauvais et la mise en scène se limite aux déguisements sommaires des PNJ. Les sous-titres en français ne sont pas satisfaisants : un est manquant, la traduction est plusieurs fois incorrecte et il y a des fautes de frappe/d'orthographe. Je recommande [i]Moral King[/i] surtout parce qu'il est vendu à prix très modique, qu'il m'a plusieurs fois fait sourire et que c'est un projet amateur qu'on peut saluer. Il n'est toutefois clairement pas au niveau des meilleurs titres FMV.

This game is a short interactive movie. Maybie this unparallel realism will be the norm in a dozen of years, heck this game has really the better graphics one could dream for, for now and later...(pretty much) The game has 3 endings. Without spoiling, there's a lot of humor in two of them (Much appreciated). The plot and hero actions are well planned. This game is not very long, doesn't have top notch costumes (the guards do have their costumes), or scenery (the big castle excepted), but is real cheap, particularly when discounted. I recommend this game. Try it maybie. It does not take a lot of time or money if you ask.

I'm sorry, but for 10GB of data, this game has practically no content. I thought saving the girl would just be the beginning of the game (since it was so ridiculously short to get to that point), but no, that's it. I saw all 3 endings with less than an hour of game-time. I've played FMV games that were only around 1GB that had TONS more content than this. Even though I only payed $0.49 for it, I expected a LOT more than what I got. I mean, I've seen introductions to games that were longer than this entire so-called game. NOT recommended. There's just not enough to it to be worth anyone's time.
