In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the Earth's surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033.

Great classic game.
игра вайбовая, крутой сюжет
gloria a metro
This game, get it, for a while, like half way through my run, I got so immersed. The vibe is just perfect, dark, lonely, cold (literally.) the gameplay is fun, the gasmask system is immersive, you have to wipe it, change huh, purifiers. The guns, each of them has a use. The story is great, the graphics are great, far ahead of there time for the redux version. The chapters and all around level design are packed with little details, loot. The game can be very scary. The sound effects are pretty good, the English voice acting, there ok. There not Resident evil 1 levels of bad voice acting. The animations can be, lets say awkward sometimes. Lets just cope and say it is a feature. Metro redux is a remaster/remake, of the Xbox 360 game metro 2033. If you want the og version, it is on gog, and like 10 dollars for a 360 copy if you have that. If you like this game, get the og to, it has a better atmosphere, then this, but, it is far junkier. It was really fun, but I will say it is like 6 to 8 hours long, if your not going for 100% or the good ending. The best comparison, og metro 2033, is like stalker, janky, but has a lot of heart, tough survival, memorable moments, far outdated gameplay, but it is still good. Metro 2033, is og Call of duty, story pretty good not the best, more streamlined gameplay, you get the idea. Play both if you like this. I want to say, I rarely found bugs, once, was around the end my pc just froze, maybe overheating, maybe having it on for 6 hours was not a good idea who really cares. So, noting I say game breaking. And if you wanted to know it runs well on more mid range pcs. The og, runs great on a potato two, mostly because it is a 16 year old game. one tiny issue, the games music can be loud in moments that it shouldn't.
I’m a huge sucker for Soviet-style post-apocalyptic stuff, and this game totally nails the vibe and immersion. The level design, the environments, the whole world-building. Many details everywhere that make the ruins feel alive. However, it’s got some pretty annoying issues too. For example, near the end, right before the final mission, ammo runs crazy low and there’s basically nowhere to restock. Also, the audio seems a bit off that I kept having trouble telling where enemies were coming from, which got frustrating. Overall, it’s worth playing, especially if you’re into post-apocalyptic worlds type. Give it a shot if that sounds like your thing.
