Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 2 → 0.29/day in the week after.

Reviews
This could actually be one of the worst games I've ever played. Certainly one of the most disappointing. Bleh.
怎么会有这么脑残的游戏?用了幻痛的素材,fox的引擎,手感一坨大便,观感也是差到极致。我真的是疯了才忍着玩到现在。不奉陪了,你妈的傻逼东西,没妈的烂人。

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 16: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Keep your wait...?!
Fantastic game. Played at least 100 hours of it on PS4 when it came out. Shame Kojima drones were brainwashed into thinking its a bad game.
if survival games raped MGSV on crack and made a crack accident baby.
Maintenance means you can't play. If you loose any internet connection, even in solo, you lose all progress since last save. This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
(Introduction) Metal Gear Survive, released by Konami in 2018, is a game that sits at a unique crossroads. As a follow-up to Hideo Kojima’s iconic Metal Gear Solid series, it had high expectations to meet. However, while it offers a compelling and engaging survival gameplay experience, it diverges significantly from what fans traditionally expect from a Metal Gear title. This dichotomy has made Metal Gear Survive a polarizing game, appreciated for its mechanics but often criticized for its departure from the series’ core identity. (Gameplay and Mechanics) At its heart, Metal Gear Survive is a solid survival game. Set in a parallel universe following the events of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, players find themselves in a hostile world filled with zombie-like creatures. The primary focus is on base-building, resource management, and crafting, which are well-executed and offer a satisfying loop of exploration and progression. Players must scavenge for food, water, and materials to survive, adding a layer of urgency and strategy. The game’s crafting system allows for the creation of a wide range of items, from basic tools to advanced weaponry, enabling players to customize their approach to various challenges. The multiplayer co-op mode further enhances the experience, encouraging teamwork and strategic planning as players defend their base from waves of enemies. (Visuals and Sound) Metal Gear Survive utilizes the FOX Engine, the same powerful engine used in Metal Gear Solid V, ensuring high-quality graphics and smooth gameplay. The environments, though not as diverse as in previous Metal Gear games, are well-designed and atmospheric, creating a sense of dread and isolation that is fitting for a survival game. The sound design is effective, with eerie ambient noises and the groans of enemies adding to the tension. However, the soundtrack lacks the iconic music that characterized the Metal Gear series, which can make the game feel less immersive for long-time fans. (Narrative and Characters) This is where Metal Gear Survive falls short in the eyes of many Metal Gear fans. The narrative is thin and lacks the depth, complexity, and philosophical musings that defined Kojima’s storytelling. The plot revolves around a group of soldiers sucked into a wormhole to an alternate dimension, which feels more like a generic sci-fi setup than a continuation of the rich Metal Gear lore. The characters are largely forgettable, lacking the intricate backstories and development seen in previous titles. While the game attempts to create emotional moments, they often fall flat due to the lack of investment in the characters and the overarching story. (Connection to the Metal Gear Series) The biggest criticism of Metal Gear Survive is its tenuous connection to the Metal Gear series. While it shares the same engine and some gameplay mechanics from The Phantom Pain, it diverges significantly in terms of narrative and tone. Gone are the complex characters, intricate plots, and deep philosophical questions about war and human nature. Instead, players get a more straightforward survival experience with a focus on resource management and base defense. For fans expecting a continuation of the Metal Gear saga, this shift is jarring. The game feels more like a spin-off or an experimental side project rather than a true successor to the beloved series. This has led to a perception that Metal Gear Survive is a good game in its own right but not a true Metal Gear game. (Conclusion) Metal Gear Survive is a competent and enjoyable survival game that offers solid mechanics, engaging multiplayer, and a challenging gameplay loop. However, it struggles to live up to the legacy of its predecessors. The departure from the series' core elements—complex storytelling, rich character development, and thematic depth—makes it feel disconnected from what made Metal Gear great. For players looking for a good survival experience, Metal Gear Survive delivers. But for those hoping for a continuation of the iconic Metal Gear saga, it may fall short of expectations. It’s a game that stands on its own merits but does so in the shadow of a legendary series, making it a good game that’s not quite a Metal Gear game.
