Mesmalie

Great art in every direction. I can't believe how cool and well written this is. A perfect short story driven game.

It's just one of those games that when you see the art of or an animation... that you fall in love instantly with. I had to play this as soon as I found out about it. Glad to say my instincts are still good, because I loved every second of Mesmer's ride. Just be warned that this game will be on your mind for quite some time after. Not only because of Mesmer's prettiness or how much you didn't want it to end, but also because Mesmalie is the very definition of "bittersweet" than anything I've experienced. There's very clear hints of the darker element of story from the very beginning, but after all is said and done in last Act... wow. It really had my feelings so mixed up. Other than that, I really enjoyed how smoooooth everything in the game feels. From the fastness of reloading chapters, the transitions, to Magicking glass bottles, to... clicking on certain people's heads with said Magick and getting the F out, it's just so SNAPPY!

I played through the demo and instantly got hooked onto it, and then I was gifted the game in full by a good pal of mine (thanks peanut) so I dived RIGHT into the game and finished it in a day. Absolutely lovely game, its a bit short but very whimsy, packed with a story that is a bit tearjerking for me. Everyone should try the demo to see for themselves, its very short but is a good introduction to the story and setup of Mesmalie. 10/10 I will be thinking about it for a while
