Mercury is a quirky and violent vigilante. After experiencing a traumatic event in her life, she saw it as her purpose to take to the streets and fight crime, only to become entangled in something huge that could threaten the entire city. Cyberpunk RPG with choice and consequence.

I love RPGs, but I'm much prefer sci-fi to fantasy settings, and there are not many sci-fi RPGs compared to fantasy ones. The gameplay is simple, so it's all about the story, which is rather compelling. I completed this game in two sittings - about 8 hours or so. The dialogue is occasionally dodgy with more swearing than is necessary, but doesn't prevent enjoyment. Recommended if... (a) you're happy to play a game for the story (rather than gameplay) (b) you can get it on sale
Mercury: Cascade into Madness is an interesting RPG made using RPG Maker VX Ace, with design decisions that keep it somewhat between the "JRPG" and "CRPG" worlds. It's also quite solid, easily rating among the best RPGs made in RPG Maker I've ever played, though it's on the short side and the combat is overly easy, even on the hard ("Challenging") difficulty. Design-wise, it was a bit hard for me to classify, because it has a JRPG-derived combat system (courtesy of the RPG Maker engine, though with some significant changes) and a fairly linear storyline, but also presents you with fairly dense content in terms of sidequests, and letting you upgrade both Mercury's combat stats and her ability to deal with situations via non-combat methods, namely stealth, lockpicking, and diplomacy. I ended up feeling that it was an interesting hybrid approach to the genre, but I also ended up more or less able to do anything, because I put almost all of my points into non-combat abilities because combat was way too easy, which also made the non-combat mechanics feel like a no-brainer. On that note, the combat system was somewhat interesting, but far too easy: if you take the Persistence skill early on, you can mostly forget about needing to spend skill points on combat for the rest of the game, even on Challenging difficulty. It's a standard JRPG combat system, except that instead of "MP," skills are either on cooldowns after the first time they're used, or charged up by using a normal attack 2 or 3 times. Unfortunately, many fights are also all but over by the third time you attack, so the charge-up attacks don't see all that much use compared to just predicting what your enemies will be vulnerable to and bringing the appropriate gun. The story and graphics were both passable - Mercury uses Poser art, which frequently looks atrocious in other games, but many of the ones used here are higher-effort and, well, cyberpunk is a genre that's always been full of people who look like mutants from 80s comics anyway. The maps, on the other hand, are quite well-done, no objections there. The story is somewhat goofy: our heroine nearly gets sexually assaulted by criminals one day and decides to become a gun-toting vigilante as a result, which I guess just makes it Death Wish: the RPG. Still, while Mercury's reasons for meting out justice to criminals never really seem all that well-explained, especially with the twist near the end, it's an enjoyable three- to four-hour cyberpunk romp. All in all, it's a high-quality but very low-difficulty and short RPG Maker game. I'm not sure that's worth the $10 full price, but Mercury: Cascade into Madness is definitely an RPG to pick up and play when it's on sale.
Mercury: Cascade into Madness is a violent trip into the future the games turn based combat is fun at times a little to easy but the whole game skipping 4 side quests took me 5 hours to complete not bad for a game that costs less than a cup of coffee in fact This is the first I've enjoyed playing all the way to the end combat is basically perks and weapons and upgrades some are kind of useless in combat as you will use the health perks to help in battles and switch weapons to take on different enemies robots drones and nutjob terrorists its easy to play but the challenging mode does add a little more need for strategy when you next dive in selecting your weapons buying selling Nano upgrades is a lot of fun not just for you but for your fellow Paul kersey wannabes having played the game all the way through twice I have to admit its damn good fun and the price is really good too its cheap to pick up and play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODrk41DhUxM&t=25s I've done a play through on my channel minus some filler otherwise the game is excellent a throw back to simple fun gaming the music is good too.....although the language could've been removed as its text its not too much of an issue I just felt it wasn't needed at certain points all in all a good cyberpunk game
not the typical cat-ear-rpg-maker-game lot of different skills and decisions totally underrated!
Mercuary cascade into madness is a decent little game with a short and adult storyline based in a cyber punk world with a very 90's esk theme. Mercuary is the main female protagonist in the game and is one mean ♥♥♥♥♥ ( if you choose to be )The combat is quite simple and for the most part you'r aveage turn based RPG, character customisation and weapon choices are there and the game is chapter driven and that goes well with the story. This is my 1st RPG maker game and I am very impressed. There are multiple endings and choices that you make that effect the story later on wich offers replayability. I got this on sale whic feels like STEAL so paying the £5.99 or whatever it costs is still a well worth while purchase. This game is very short but offers a decent storyline that has multiple endings which make up for this all in all a decent story driven game with multiple endings and all with a 90's esk PC cyber punk feel I would easy give it a 7/10. If this is what an RPG maker can create I am impressed.
A most fine RPG made with the same quality as City of Chains. Story is even better although mechanics wise a bit more limited though spending time on weapon and augmentation setups is worth the trouble. This particular game provides a lot of background story for characters seen in the more technically limited Outrage game so this one is recommended to play before that one. Again a good game to recommend assuming one can stomach the old aging rpg maker VX engine. Astronomic Games is to me a sign of quality these days. If one has a strong opinion that rpg maker games are either shovel ware or the base of very old jrpg games only then this developer brings the best antidote to that by showing it can still be pretty decent especially when price of these gems is not that particularly high.
fena değil diyebileceğim seviyede rpg yapım grafikler tatmin etmez ama klasik basit rpglerden iyi
Excellent RPG game, even if it is a RPG maker game, it should not be taken lightly, as the story is well written and the gameplay is quite fun. If the developer had the funds and tool to make the story just, you would look at a game up there alongside Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Witcher series. I am impressed by the skill of this person, to make this type of quality in a simple program. I suggest you also try out his others games, not all follow the same combat system, infact some is more like a vidual novel but that in itself is not a bad thing. Overall the Stories told by the developer are good, entertaining and cheaper than most games. Definatly worth the money and at least this title has replay value and then some. You will not regret buying this title if you are an RPG fan.
This is a decent rpg with some interesting choices and story... unfortunately, it is also somewhat bare bones. I can't really say that I empathized much with the characters due to the somewhat sloppy pacing of the story, and I can say firmly that the gameplay could have done with some reworking (not being able to change your allies weapons, in particular). For most of the game, you are pretty much on rails, save for the option to do quick side quests in some of the chapters. I did like how the consequences of your actions big and small showed up in the epilogue, but I don't like that 'setting up for a sequel' aura I got from the ending. I'd give this game a 6/10 on the rpg scale, but I could probably add another point for the low cost of the game and the fact that it was a good play to ease my late-night boredom.
Es-pec-ta-cu-lar.
