About
The untouched shores of Saturn's moon Titan yearn for exploitation.
Today, we land on Titan. We can strip mine its precious minerals, manufacture valuable goods to ship off-world, or even sell them to the colonists who are sure to arrive soon after you. And how better to survive Titan's brutal climate than with a sprawling factory to produce everything we need?
And those so-called settlers who claim they were there first? Nonsense. We will be the first, and any who say otherwise are merely pirates and scavengers, soon to fall under the tanks and jets and space warships we manufacture. Will you lead your corporation to claim all of Titan?

Build a factory in seconds, or spend hours designing and optimizing for the perfect layout. Lay down a web of smart maglevs for your logistics. Or use a fleet of cargo trucks, or aircraft instead.

First you must produce enough air, food, and water for your workers to survive. Then, you must face a Crisis Engine which throws at you everything from devastating natural disasters to unrelenting pirate assaults!

What's the point of building a factory without turning a profit? Trade raw resources with settlers or build cities for governments for money. Or sell weapons to rebels or nukes to terrorists to fund your factory!
The more money you make, the more you will attract the attention of Pirates and Scavengers eager to steal your hard earned resources. Set up missile turrets to destroy them as they sneak into your factory, or perhaps simply pay them to look the other way. As you grow even larger, war between other factions may start to spill into your factory too!
Generate an infinite, procedural worlds in a single click, and explore it endlessly. Each time you play, the world is completely unique. Like the pirates who drive past your gun turrets, they never get old!
Choose from 7 different factions, each with a different playstyle. Try a vehicle-focused faction that starts with cargo speeders to race your goods around. Or perhaps a maglev-heavy faction, with a focus on limitless spaghetti. Or try a faction that starts with rockets from the get go, that can deliver resources to and from space at ease!
Titan's unique atmosphere produces complex wind and weather patterns. As you smelt raw ores, your waste heat and pollution will also heavily affect the climate and wind. A clever engineer can even exploit these heating patterns to generate power from the resulting wind and pollution.
No more mindless conveyor belts that get backed up and cause mistakes. Your Maglev Tubes know where to send goods and exactly what quantity is requested, sort across junctions automatically, and handle loops smartly.
Trade, negotiate, or go to war with over a dozen Allied, Neutral, and Enemy factions also settled on Titan.
Play a casual, relaxing game in a sandbox mode without enemies or challenges, or test your mettle with a brutal, unforgiving gameplay. You can also fully customize all difficulty settings!
Use community-made Build Templates from Steam Workshop, or upload your own. You can also easily make and upload mods directly to Steam Workshop for others to try!

I have tried to play this several times and it's pretty awful because it's trying so hard to be something that it is not. This is supposed to be some sort of faction based citybuilder where your faction changes how you build your city; because of many, MANY serious design issues this got diluted until it's basically just your factions color that you choose. You randomly get plopped down somewhere on the planet and then the timers and countdowns begin. You have X amount of times until you lose and you have to very very quickly scramble up the tech tree, because you have to research how to build every type of basic facility. In fact, you can't even make fuel until you research it, so you actually have to purchase it from other factions despite having the materials for it. On a recent patch I tried to play the game and could not progress because a specific material didn't spawn near my spawn point. Because you can only progress by making certain things at certain points of the campaign, failing to secure enough of specific resources at specific times just results in total failure. On top of this, there are several AI factions that pick on you by raiding you, destroying your buildings, and otherwise making life miserable. Then there's the random events blowing your factory up. So not only are you at the mercy of a countdown but you are constantly getting messed with the entire time. I was expecting some sort of open world colony sim but got met with an awful linear citybuilder.
the game is strange, it wants you to struggle the whole time. you never get a respite from the constant weight of your finances. which, might be the devs whole point. to constantly have you struggling to keep up your finances. for me, this feels bad. i was constantly annoyed i had to keep manually selling stuff. maybe if it was more automated, but needing to manually do it was absolutely the worst. i kept breaking my focus on what i was doing. once i made my base more automated, not using trucks, the game kept crashing. which is what made me quit. i was mostly frustrated with this game than anything else. i do like what they were doing though, the idea is solid, but they need to focus on making the game more fun, then stressful. maybe its just me. ill come back to the game after a year or so, see where its at. i think if they just made automated sales, and let me focus on making sure i had the resources, then manually doing the sells. the game would be more fun. manually doing stuff over and over is the worst in these kinda games.
It's a no for me. It's too complicated for the sake of just being complicated. Having to click a button to "allow external" goods to pick up 'medicine' that you have to purchase in order to progress, but the game tells you nothing about it and you can drive the truck over there, but you just can't right-click on the 'trade depot' to pick up the goods you already bought, which you can clearly see in the inventory. Nah. And then the constant meddling with everything because it wants to send raw mats to the storage on the other side of the chain, so you then have to filter all of the belts (maglev whatever) in order to keep that item from passing THROUGH the smelter into the storage. . . . like, wtf? No, no, no. this game needs a LOT of work and it's nearly 3 years since launch and that crud should've been fixed already. no thank you. I got a refund. Ugh.
I have tried to get into this game many times and always fail as I do not really get what I should do, how I should do. The learning curve is just too steep.
*update 06/2026* Still being developed, keeps getting better. I didn't play it for a long time so as not to burn out in EA. Problem is that it seems that now V1.+ has been released I can't play it due to very low FPS. I don't know why this is, my hardware has not changed so I assume it is down to new features or something. Therefore I cannnot update my review to reflect the final release version. I have seen no other reports of this in the forums, so I guess this is not a reason to not buy the game, just means I cannot update this review yet. --review-- This review is probably going to be a bit incoherent, a collection of impressions. That's just how this game is affecting me. This is not a bad thing. I imagine a free-for-all near-future exploitation of the resources of Titan by a variety of factionlised humans might feel quite similar... I've noticed some reviews compare this game with Factorio or Satisfactory. I can see why but it's a very different game. This is a game about various competing (meaningfully different) factions exploiting the resources of Titan. It is about creatively and efficiently responding to the current dynamics of the market, exploiting other factions' weaknesses and defending your faction against the natural disasters of Titan and the general PvE of the factions. There is a saying about art holding up a mirror to reality, I think, probably. Anyway it's really fun how this game plays off the reality of, and popular tropes about, business, exploitation, politics and shows a deep awareness of the genre. It's just fun. The nitty gritty is production chains, logistics and faction economic competition and hybrid warfare. You will be balancing producing for the needs of colonists against the need to produce for sale, against the need to produce to expand. You will be striving for efficiency and taking chances on when to produce what. There will be natural events that need to be prepared for and recovered from. There are usually a few different ways to produce finished or intermediate goods for trade or use. These have implications and outcomes that need to be considered, from what you mine to how you produce to how you sell. There is something about the borderless map also, you can explore... and explore... and explore... if you can afford to... All this adds up to a strangely compelling, fun and just... interesting... experience. I am really enjoying this. Although it is a very different game I can imagine this appealing to those who like me, enjoy Factorio or Satisfactory, or Drill Down, or Good Company, Captain of Industry, or games like that, but also to those who want more of a cut-throat faction/business context for their micromanagey meddlings. It is being actively developed, and there is a lot of rational response by the (single, I think) dev to the community feedback. There are occasional frustrating crashes, It does feel unfinished, but it is EA, after all. It is by the same dev as Children of a Dead Earth, and it shows. In a good way. I looked on SteamDB and the all-time peak players was 34, and that was three years ago. Peak players over 24 hours is 2.... I really don't understand that. This game deserves to be recognised up there with the greats. Maybe it just isn't ready yet. Maybe the free demo is keeping people satisfied, or putting people off - I haven't played the demo and it could be that it is not revealing the greater game or something. Anyway - this is a review of the full game itself, as it stands at 0.9.1.5 (26/11/2024) Runs great in linux. I recommend it. *edit* I just reported a crash bug. Dev fixed it within a day.
This is a factorio style game with a few twists - Similar to captain of industry its a mix of vehicles as well the standard conveyor belts, you mine/deliver to other factions/fight with vehicles and your factory is pretty much all belts Conveyors are pull as well as push - i.e. factorio belts are all push, pull belts remain empty until something on the end requests it, so you can basically connect a dozen pull belts to a single factory and it can pull whatever it needs which is brilliant because generally your "end" factories can be used to produce multiple products depending on demand Pretty much everything has multiple recipes like satisfactory which is cool because the maps are randomly generated so maybe you don't have much iron close but you do have aluminium you can substitute etc There is an economy in this game, this is a big difference from other games in this genre because not only are you selling stuff to other factions but it puts a time limit on orders and, normally I HATE time based stuff but this is done really well and is fulfilling, you get bonuses for completing on time and its usually stuff you cant build yourself yet so you get a nice choice between a few different buildings or vehicles which help you out in the future. For example maybe someone will want you to build something you need to research but the research needs material X which you don't have but you can substitute material Y which you could make yourself if you combined Z and a certain mineral which you don't mine but is located beside something your already mining so you get that material and make Y and then use it to research - it requires a lot of thinking on your feet to find solutions based on what resources you have and what you can afford to setup in time Factions will give you specific missions but also there is an open market where they will request stuff and you can even just sell products direct to an open market As well as factories you need to manage a working population with needs food/water/oxygen etc and waste as well as heat and pollution from factories - some buildings need to be insulated so they are warm and some generate heat so they need to be cooled The game also has some good progression steps - you start out trying to pay off the loan for the land you start on, then your trying to pay off corporate loans, then pirates and scavengers then orbital bombardments - each one needs a different fix to get past. Also you need to buy licenses to do certain things. A lot of times at the start your able to buy stuff you need but eventually can produce it yourself once you've researched the correct thing If you like factorio and captain of industry you'll like this - there is a lot of depth to it and really there are sooo many different ways you can set your factory up your constantly tweaking it to get it to run smoother. As you grow and expand you hit different problems and have to find different solutions, which is refreshing as its not the same thing over and over. The UX has improved a lot with the last few releases but it is occasionally a little rough around the edges and it does have a reasonably steep learning curve... but its worth it
The most confusing and inconsistent factory builder. Nothing is intuitive. There are so many different types/variations of buildings and vehicles and resources that ultimately do not matter and only serve to create confusion.
After being away from this application for a while (played it 70 hours in the past) I gave it a try the other day. Lets put it this way: the items I already had I could drop and use. The research needed? Could not research even a single item. There was nothing in the UI that indicated anything to begin research. If I cannot research then my game is dead. So I uninstalled it for good.
I had a broken UI. After contacting the discord, they had a workaround in 12 hours and a patch to fix my issue in less than 24 hours.
