About
Procedural and dynamic map:
Each session presents a new map made of procedurally generated planets.
Diverse playstyles:
Every level-up forces a choice. Focus on production, defense, management or pursue a balanced path.
Deep economy and political systems:
Dynamic supply and demand systems create opportunities to manipulate the market. Planets will trade and go to war among themselves.
Every action has consequences:
Selling weapons strengthens one side, while trading with the other side becomes more expensive. Unmet demands can clog logistics chains, while clearing pirates from space revitalizes the economy.
Gargantua is a city-building and strategy game with deep trading mechanics, set in a dynamic and complex universe filled with dozens of procedurally generated planets. Every trade, journey, and decision has tangible consequences.
Planets specialize in producing certain resources while demanding others depending on time and circumstances. Prices fluctuate based on global supply, available raw materials, and the difficulty of interplanetary logistics. If you monopolize a product, you can manipulate the market, hoard goods, inflate prices, and generate massive profits. But every product is part of a complex supply chain—shortages in one resource can ripple across industries and trigger large-scale crises.
Interplanetary travel is never safe. Defend your ship against waves of enemies as you travel through space. Build defensive towers on the deck of your massive spaceship—city. Every tower requires ammunition, and every shot must be produced in your factories or purchased.
Your economic decisions directly determine your military strength.
In Gargantua, economy and war are two sides of the same coin.
“War is profit.”

Refund Pending: So I watched for this game for some time. I was excited to see it pop up on my steam weekly recommended and bought it ASAP. I watched Splattercat play it and noticed issues with the targeting for the turrets but then noticed i could layer the shields as a by pass and said oh well. So after teaching all day I was able to sit down and fire it up. Played for roughly an hour and half. Had a ship that was pumping out consumer foods like a boss. Owned majority shares in most of a nations food production and plastics factories. Was roughly level 8 or 9. It was then time to get my kids ready for bed. So i saved MANUALLY. Sent the game to the main screen, and was away for 10 min at most. When i returned, i resumed my save. However, I had no level progression, I had no perks, i had no income, i had no shares in companies. I had a ship with all these tech tree items unlocked with no access to the same buildings. I had no perks so as soon as i jumped, i was obliterated due to no buffed shields. I shrugged my shoulders and restarted. And was able to replicate the issue 4 times, on 4 separate saves. Will re-evaluate this title in the future but as it stands now, it needs more work.
Ok so I am liking the game. There is a few areas to improve on. And one bug I found. But over all this is a nice game to play and for the price of the game at the moment. Defo give this game a shot as I do believe if the devs work on this game then could be much more. But as the game right now and the very cheep cost I do think it is value for mouny and I have enjoyed the few hours I have played today. So yes I would recommend this game.

cool concept but that's it. a Proof of Concept. nothing more. if this is 1.0 then its 100% not worth it. - reached the "end-game" in less than 2 hours. everything researched. nothing else to do.; - started to upgrade planets with industries they miss. when you build an industry, it gives you nothing. no "cut" for your shares (you own only 50% of the industry you build with your credits), no income, just the planet now has production of the items you wanted; - levels give you nothing but 1 upgrade from 3 random choices (not even takes in consideration the industry you built on your ship. got end-game boost for black holes in the first level up); - weird hiccup on trading, when you input the amount you want to buy/sell (on big 30k+ sell operations, I got freezes for up to 2s); - tutorial says that if you brake a pirate blockade of a planet - you gain reputation with the faction... and the game literally prevents you from traveling to a planet with a blockade ongoing; - no news, no communications on steam about "what's next". from the looks of it, it seems like it will be abandoned or is already abandoned (I hope I'm wrong).
hey so are you going to fix the game ending bugs? like the only defenses we have not firing. like the game but it has to actually work.
Fun time killer but game still needs a little polish. Couple issues noted after 4 hours of gameplay: 1. upon exit and reload, the entire tech tree can reset and needs to be re unlocked. 2. "qualified citizens" produced at academy will randomly disappear and reset to zero. This is as of Aug. 25, 2026
This game has potential but when I get 200000 plastic every cycle from my citizens it's frustrating when the game freezes as I try to sell 1 mil plastic at a time when I have 5 mil on my ship. Actively trying to crash the plastic economy but it's not happening and I can make millions on a single planet selling millions of plastics. Also had a weird thing where the economy crashed and things were at negative prices so buying them would give me money and any shares i had resulted in negative income. Could be a cool event but there is no global event log so I'm thinking it was a bug. This game needs to pick a lane, either be a hardcore economy game or be a rougelite with escalating difficulty. If hardcore there are too many game breaking level up perks and if a roguelite there is no escalating difficulty. After all of that if this game gets the love and the developer hires some help to optimize and work out some of the kinks this could be a really good game. I'm hopeful for it.
да.
This is basically 'port royale' in space. you start small, buy low and sell high. you get rich and make industrial base on planet. there's a lot more to go. some kind of limitation on cargo space, more tech tree, dynamic market, dynamic combat/conquering planet, planet variation, diversity in planetary development, etc etc. but there's solid base established and good potential for a good trade/economy game. edit/ I thought this was early access. but i found out it's not EA. not really recommend this game at current stage. it's not really a finished product.
