I'm not making an epic account just to play a mediocre DOOM clone

you can't change the FOV, it hurt my eye to play at 50 FOV, I hope they approve my refund

At first I thought, yay, a doom clone. But then I noticed you hardly get any weapons. Then I noticed that you get hung on the environment way to much. Then I noticed, meh, there are better moire fun games to play. If you can get this on a 2 dollar sell, then it'd be worth it. The way it stands now, there's better things to put your money on.

I am really enjoying this game, but I saw a lot of things in the reviews that I feel should be clarified to help users decide on this game with more information! - People get stuck on the first boss and can't find the exit. The exit is the way you came in, there is not a new door, you just go back to the previous area or fast travel elsewhere. - You can fast travel to locations you have been to, which lets you move around without having to fight through levels again. - The lives system doesn't reset your progress, unless you lose all your lives before completing a section, then you have to do it over again. But whatever you complete stays, and if you happen to start in a previous area, you can just fast travel to the other location you were at. - Ammo for the weapons you find is plentiful, the base weapon will cause ammo to drop for the bow, but every other weapon will have ammo drop for that specific weapon. Which you get by killing enemies, I have yet to run out of ammo in this game. - Dashing through enemies gives you health - Those skull objects you see on walls are switches, which opens stuff to help you locate runes! - You have an overworld map that shows you your progress on each level, along with where you can get new weapons. The relics you will find visiting a new area that has one, they are not automatically displayed. - The arcade mode does start out dark, just increase the gamma. It is supposed to have bright red enemies, its 'the zen mode' according to the press release. Your game is not broken. - You can increase the gibs and gore in the game, just go to your settings to have tons of limbs and stuff flying everywhere! - There is a notice on the page now saying you need Epic Games in order to play, they had to enable it in order to do crossplay between the platforms. If you have the launcher installed, and you are logged in, it will not ask you to sign in. Its pretty slick. Overall the game is fun, especially for the current sale price. It does have some jank here or there, but overall its a fast paced FPS with satisfying weapons and enemies. I have not been able to try co-op, but I could see that being rad.

По замыслам разработчиков, игру должен был на себе вытащить геймплей. Но с этим беда, потому что одна из основных задач Scathe - это побег из мрачного лабиринта с готическим интерьером с яркими вкраплениями красного, со скучными пушками, с максимально ватной стрельбой по одинаковым противникам губкам для урона, попадание по которым вообще никак не ощущается, типичные . Сами же помещения очень тесные и лишают игрока возможности маневрировать и вести хоть сколько-то подвижный бой.

The game looks like it will be awesome when you watch the trailer and screenshots, but the gameplay loop is quite bad. Too many different types of enemies swarming/attacking you at the same time, lots of them move too fast, bounce, dodge zig-zagging in the air, it's a nightmare to aim/hit them while rushing through the level trying to complete the "to-do" list of each level, they are very unreasonable like "finish the level in under 1 min" or beating some very high score, it requires a very high level of precision, no room for error (not to mention that the levels are a damned maze). Just not my cup of tea. I don't know, it wasn't fun to play it nor engaging... Felt more like it was going to quickly turn into a masochistic chore to play it and complete the tasks and achievements. Unfortunately I made the mistake of taking more than 2 weeks to playtest the game, now my refund request has been denied... Bummer, at least I paid like 2 dollars for this, but I still feel robbed.
