I love this game so much! As someone who enjoys heavy resource management and life simulation, I had played multiple levels to perfection now. I am currently aiming for 100% achievements so that's something that I should be busy with this week. Looking forward to how this game will develop in the future!! If you like Necesse, Yes, Your Grace, and, maybe, Potion Craft, this game is definitely worth a try!
Amazing game, great fun. some things I would like to be added would be a family tree page to see how all of the family members are connected and to see if the main blood line still exists, also the capability of killing other rival families. I am sitting in a situation where I have 4 families at 1000 and the 5th at -1000. Also the ability to buy land from other families for an increased cost like say x5 what it normally would. And maybe an achievement for 10mil since I am at 6.5mil currently. Give it a play through buyers its fun!

it's kinda good but lack's depth... hard to explain, but it feels like those free games that ask for money, and in the end are just a grind?
really satisfying to just up grade your family however gets boring once you get a castle
Buy it if: - you are obsessed with games where you build up your family dynasty from scratch - you'd welcome a changling into your family for an extra pair of hands - calculating which crop is best to feed your family sounds like fun to you Don't buy it if: - you're not a fan of repetitive actions across turns (ie. farm, chop wood). This forms the majority of the game - you think you'll find it too annoying when there are negative events like characters being kidnapped or attacked by bandits. Your family will probably have a tough time in this game, and most of the time there's nothing you can do about it - you're looking for something deep and complex Review: Medieval Legacy is a worker-placement game with family dynasty mechanics. Every month you will move your labourers between various tiles like fields, forests and mines in order to gain resources. On your first playthough you'll start with just one - a particularly good farmer. After hitting certain unlock conditions, you can start new playthroughs with different families and classes. But back to your first run for now - over time, your starting farmer will marry, gradually gain land, have children (hopefully some will inherit his trait, which ignores seasons when growing crops), and become lord of a small town. There is a skill tree which doubles as a set of goals, with unlock requirements like having family members in specific jobs for a certain number of years, having good relations with the other families in the game, or crafting certain amounts of goods. I liked the game, despite it's flaws. I never found the negative events too annoying, and in my playthroughs the family could always just about scrape through or recover from a loss. If a character died, it was because I foolishly told them to try and fight off bandits even though they had a low chance of success. Lesson learned. Okay, lesson not learned until the forth or fifth time, but I didn't like those other family members in the first place... The most fun part for me was the early part, where you're struggling to establish your family and get a member in each type of job, and unlocking the skill tree feels satisfying. The biggest downside for me was that, for a game with a dynastic element, the years pass quite slowly. This could be partially because I tended towards too much micromanagement of crop rotation, crafting and socials each month, but to some degree it's just the way the game is designed. So far I've never gone past grandchildren. Also, there's no family tree. Sadness. Nonetheless, dynastic management games are few and far between, and this provided some light but compulsive entertainment for a while. Tips: - stick with growing beans until your stats go up enough to give you a higher yield or you get an extra pair of hands around the farm - grapes + a winery is an easy path to riches - money can be stolen by bandits. land and resources cannot. - children can inherit parent's traits. try not to marry anyone with a particularly awful negative trait into the family
5/22/25 Needs significant updates. Interesting core concept but every playthrough is the same despite start conditions.
FUN, can't wait to see where it goes, and I'm excited for the possible family tree. Please add murder and intrigue on par with CK2 and CK3.
I tried playing it for a bit, but the game just didn't catch on. Too repetitive, and just fairly boring.
Hier wären also gewisse Sperrfristen oder "Schutzzonen" hilfreich.
