Derinlik yok, tatmin yok.
Gameplay Mechanics: 7/10 Narrative: 4/10 Graphics: 5/10 Sound and Music: 6/10 Replayability: 7/10 Innovation: 7/10 Medieval Kingdom Wars aims high by blending grand strategy, real-time battles, and city-building into one medieval sandbox. While it doesn’t always stick the landing, the ambition behind it deserves respect—especially for an indie title. Gameplay mechanics are the strong point. You’ll manage diplomacy, build your economy, upgrade cities, and command troops in real-time battles. The systems can feel clunky at times, but there’s enough depth here to satisfy strategy fans looking for something beyond the usual. Score: 7/10. Narrative is weak. The game provides only a thin historical backdrop, with minimal storytelling or immersion in your ruler’s journey. It leans heavily on its sandbox nature without much in the way of character or scenario depth. Score: 4/10. Graphics are outdated. The world map and units are functional, but visuals lack polish and detail, especially in battle animations and terrain. It’s serviceable at best. Score: 5/10. Sound and music get the job done but don’t shine. The voice acting is limited and repetitive, while the soundtrack offers background flavor without standing out. Score: 6/10. Replayability is decent. With multiple factions, open-ended gameplay, and different approaches to conquest and diplomacy, there’s enough content to keep you experimenting. Score: 7/10. Innovation earns points for mixing genres. Combining full-scale battles, town-building, and diplomacy into one cohesive loop is bold—even if execution is uneven. Score: 7/10. Bottom line: Medieval Kingdom Wars won’t blow you away with story or visuals, but it scratches the medieval strategy itch in a way few other games try to. If you’re a genre fan and can tolerate some rough edges, it’s a rewarding underdog.

Medieval Kingdom Wars, developed by Reverie World Studios and published by indie.io, presents a bold fusion of real-time strategy and grand strategy elements set against the backdrop of medieval Europe. The game immerses players in the role of a fledgling lord during a turbulent historical period, offering a blend of city-building, resource management, and tactical combat. Unlike many traditional RTS titles, it strives to marry the micro-level control of battles with the macro-level management of kingdoms, which creates a unique but sometimes uneven gameplay experience. At the heart of Medieval Kingdom Wars is its strategic depth. Players start by developing their settlements, constructing buildings, and managing resources such as food, wood, and gold, all essential for maintaining and expanding their domains. The economic system, while straightforward, requires careful planning, especially as players must balance resource gathering with military expenditures. The game shines when it comes to combat; battles unfold in real-time with up to 30 units per engagement, featuring infantry, cavalry, and siege equipment. The siege warfare mechanics, in particular, stand out. Players must not only lead troops in direct confrontations but also tactically use siege engines like catapults and battering rams to break down enemy defenses. This combination adds layers of tactical thinking and planning that fans of medieval warfare will appreciate. The AI opponents present a competent challenge, often adapting their strategies to exploit weaknesses in player defenses or formations. This adaptability keeps skirmishes engaging, requiring players to continually refine their tactics. However, the game sometimes struggles to maintain fluid performance during larger battles. Players have reported stuttering and frame rate drops, which can hinder the otherwise immersive experience. These technical hiccups are more noticeable during intense combat moments when multiple units and projectiles flood the screen, detracting from the game's strategic flow. On the management side, the city-building and kingdom development aspects feel somewhat underdeveloped. While players can upgrade buildings and expand their holdings, the system lacks the complexity and depth seen in other strategy games, making this part of the experience feel simplified or repetitive over time. This simplicity might appeal to newcomers but may leave veterans of the genre craving more intricate systems for diplomacy, economy, or internal politics. The narrative campaign, while serviceable, also leans more towards functional than captivating, providing a backdrop for the gameplay rather than a deeply immersive story. Despite its rough edges, Medieval Kingdom Wars offers a rewarding experience for those interested in a strategic mix of base-building and medieval warfare. Its ambitious approach to combining grand strategy with real-time tactical battles is commendable, and the siege mechanics alone provide enough depth and excitement to keep players engaged. With ongoing updates and community feedback, there’s strong potential for the game to evolve into a more polished and complex strategy title. For fans willing to look past occasional performance issues and craving a medieval strategy game that challenges both their tactical and strategic thinking, Medieval Kingdom Wars is certainly worth exploring. Rating: 7/10
I won't say that this is a complicated game with many features. However, if you like games such as Age of Empire or Stronghold Crusader, you probably like this game. The gameplay is a mixture of Crusader King and Age of Empire with the game is played in campaign map format and play-pause situation. And when you attack a city or an army, you will be zoomed in as the Age of Empire format. You need to construct a building, upgrade your army, and establish more army to win the battle in certain amount of time. If you are looking for complex strategy game at least as same as Crusader King or Total War series, then I STRONGLY against buying this game bcs it might seem repetitive for you. But if you depart from a game such as Age of Empire, then this is the game for you. Also, it would be much more worth it if you buy it on sale and with the Greater World DLC too since the map only covers England and France.
first guy to have a credit card in my family and this is the first game I bought and I wish Allah grave me a stroke so I couldn't waste my money on this ♥♥♥♥ the game looks like ♥♥♥♥ the UI looks disgusting everything is slow diplomacy is just 4 buttons the game has infinite potential but they nothing about it.
Sadly a waste of time, units don't seem to interact properly, buildings don't work sometimes during sieges (can't open them/access them). Tried starting a Venice game (no dlc's) and my character was in Greece but base game doesn't have Greece so you were just stuck in oblivion watching NPC's..... ♥♥♥♥ game, just play total war or Stronghold series.
