For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was extremely excited to play and genuinely thought this would be a hidden gem but now I'm missing half a head of hair. I truly wanted to love the game but the core issues are just irredeemable. The first 2-4 hours hook you to the premise (the demo convinced me to buy it) but it is rapidly downhill from there. The non-combat missions and tasks are all extremely boring and sometimes stressful. The most common example is you're put into a massive map and need to find 10+ tiny, barely visible items at night with a 15 minute timer that completely resets all of your progress, meanwhile your stamina keeps depleting every 20 seconds. Timed missions are always rage-inducing especially since it was clearly designed to be a slow paced game. This is a campaign-centric game. I do not know what the developers were thinking when they decided there would be absolutely no rewards or stat benefits from progressing the campaign. Nothing is permanent and nothing is new, you just repeat the same thing on every main mission. Farm for 20 minutes, fight for 20 minutes. Rinse and repeat. There is no sense of anything being rewarding since there are no permanent rewards or, at the bare minimum, cosmetics to obtain. You end the game the exact same way you started it. Actually, that's what I would say if that was the case, but in truth you become worse the more you progress through the campaign. While you don't get any better, the enemy AI decides to just ascend into Godhood, constantly becoming stronger, more coordinated, more intelligent, more aggressive, and somehow always larger in number. They also upgrade faster than you, restore fallen legions faster than you, and on top of all these advantages they start off owning 90% of the level's territory with farms and armies already established before you even spawn a single soldier. Farming is also garbage. Resources are incredibly slow to obtain and everything is absurdly expensive. If you try to acquire more nests to gain sensible wealth accumulation without investing a good bit of time into building expensive defenses , they will destroy them within 30 seconds. It sounds like the solution would be to just take your time, enjoy the ride, slowly conquer territory, and progress safely. Nope. The game practically forces you to take ridiculous, often low-chance-of-success risks and expand at an extremely aggressive and unsafe rate. You can't take your time because the AI quickly gets very ambitious and starts sending armies on armies to obliterate your main nest. I'll be desperately picking up whatever scraps I can to afford tier 1 legions while they're sending multiple legions consisting of Tier 2 and Tier 3 soldiers at me. This game is so unbalanced it makes me constantly pull my hair out. These missions are substantial time investments, so getting 99% of the way there just to lose everything is more confidence-wrecking than your wife leaving you for a broke, old, fat dude named Gerald. Also, the defend-your-base missions are genuinely broken. The ant nests have barely any health and get absolutely crushed instantly, meanwhile they are scattered all across a gigantic, maze-like map and your legions move so slowly that most of the time the nest is already destroyed before they even get there. The only remotely decent thing about this game is that the graphics are amazing and an indie dev somehow put together the only Unreal Engine game I have ever played that has not had a single stutter or crash. It is unbelievably optimized. These developers are clearly talented and should continue making games, however they should NEVER, and I mean NEVER, be allowed to write a single line of code pertaining to a game's story, campaign progression, mission design, or balancing again.
Empire of Ants was a game I was really looking forward to because it looked unique. It does have a cool premises but ultimately falls flat after a few short hours. I lost interest and to be brutally honest, there isn't much to do. You can explore (which isn't very interest), command armies of ants (a very basic RTS) or play a platformer game (this is also part of the exploring process). The game looks gorgeous, but it still manages to feel lifeless and boring despite being surrounded by millions of ants and other bugs. It's simply missing a core loop gameplay that is fun. As far as multiplayer, I didn't get a chance to play coop but I have no doubt it's more of the same as playing solo. Best thing to do for this game is buy it on sale or don't buy it at all.
Pretty much all the content is shown off in the first 2 hours of the campaign after which it is just very repetitive. Quite disappointing
Got this to play in co-op and it was quite disappointing, 2vs2 AI co-op even set to the "easiest" the AI still feels over tuned and leads to a frustrating and boring snowball that feels oppressive. We also tried the Horde Mode and whilst it was slightly more enjoyable after a 30 minute run it still felt like there wasn't much more to see or do. Overall I cannot recommend this game.
I suckered myself into it when I saw it on sale. Excellent graphics and smooth game play, 5 stars for both of those. Very immersive in the eyes and world of an ant. Severely lacking on the multiplayer community. Another RTS where you can't find anyone else to actually enjoy the game. This makes it a campaign based game with skirmish and horde modes against AI. As I've personally played thousands of hours of RTS, I started to find a lack of enjoyment in story and AI skirmish rather quickly. The inability to place strategic structures at your own discretion, or in this case ant burrows, is probably another detrimental factor for new players. However, I can see how the race to secure the ant hills on the map can be invigorating as that aspect is shared in other successful RTS like Halo Wars which I thoroughly enjoyed. But for Age of Empires players and beyond, I can imagine it more as a hindrance. I may finish the campaign but lack of multiplayer community is demoralizing. Summary: Fun, simple strategy aspects, amazing graphics and smooth gameplay. No community to play with. RTS are meant for player vs. player and without that component it's not worth the time.
its good if there is more to play the story was 2 small
Fascinating game, cool concept of being the general and controlling your armies and taking over nest, the story is very good and cant wait to try co-op and multiplayer.
