It's been more than two years since I abandoned this game, but I still think that it actually had some real potential. Art style, the visuals of the world and in parts even the atmosphere are quite nice, but it fell apart quick. The issue for me was the story and even more the way it was told. I don't have the slightest clue what they were going for, but it felt like some alien entity tried to convey a story and miserably failed. It's difficult to convey the weirdness of it, I guess you have to see for yourself if your curious. But spoiler: I don't think it's worth it.
Passabile, visto anche il prezzo. Ricalca persona 5 ma non è paragonabile ad esso, risultando molto inferiore . Consigliabile a chi ama il genere
Finally cleared and platinum it. I gave 6.7/10 Story is short and compact It did feel confused most of the time. For the ending part I really don't mind at all and It's actually give me a good chuckle. Characters design look good. My favorite character is Butterfly, she's a feisty one. There are some BGM that sound like a whale in pain. But the gameplay.. Both the battle and the mini game weren't fun at all. The battle and equipment system remind me of those atrocious gacha games where I have to squeeze everything just to barely get above 50% crit rate. The farming for gears/exp is very tedious the enemies is hard to kill by just one turn and gold/exp reward per battle is measly. That mean you would be stuck on that one chapter taking a long time farming until you strong and very well geared enough to take on the boss and dungeon in that chapter. No one hit skill or shortcut. Now to the minigame "Mind/Hack" It's a deck building game just like slay the spine except you can't do anything to your deck like buy a new card or get rid of the card your have or upgrade it (you can technically upgrade the whole deck but it changed into different deck). The main game battle already already long enough now you have to play in the game of chance which mean you can win fast by pray to RNG god or lose hard 3 times so you can skip it. All the the point I made did sound terrible right? Then why I recommend it? Well It's very cheap like now and I want everyone to suffer the same pain as me. Joking aside. It's not that bad and It's definite not good game but I can see the potential if the dev try not to just finish making a game but to make it fun too. I would love to see that in the future. PS. I saw that there is a prequel upcoming soon. Kinda bummer that it's seems to be full visual novel style. Can they top PARANORMASIGHT though? the art do look similar too.
Don't expect to see the end of this game if decide to buy and play it! It all starts out well as a very Japanese feeling RPG and I mainly enjoyed completing missions and leveling up my characters. Until reaching the final boss battle! Suddenly the difficulty ramps up to a ridiculous level. I Suddenly felt like all my characters at this point were very underpowered due to the final boss having a move that can wipe out your full party with just one shot despite using every heath potion and heal ability my team possessed. There are several guides out there that suggest focusing on healing and saving your characters special abilities to use on the two orbs that appear before the boss uses his wipe out move but I couldn't achieve success with these tactics and rapidly lost the patience to keep trying after the 15th attempt. This to my mind shows a lack of balance in the game design and a lack of respect for the players time. I should not have been able to reach the final boss fight with inadequate weapons or abilities if the gameplay balancing had been done correctly. I have now uninstalled the game but it will now annoy and niggle at the back of my mind because I could not finish it!
Wanted a game that reminded me of Shadow Hearts and this seems to fit the bill. It feels like a more logical Persona. Especially since the main character was hired to solve the whole mystery unfolding. It's an enjoyable game and I'm glad I purchased it.
First Impression: A hidden gem among RPGS. With a fresh spin on nostalgic elements this game brings a creative illustration to abstract ideas. From the mind hacking card battle as you fight the ego and shadow of another person's mind to the blending of realities as the inner worlds of others manifest into reality. This is a game I wish I'd had as a teenage but brings me the same amount of joy I had growing up with games. Like all new ventures for budding developers this game the game has a solid foundation with a few quirks that can be ironed out and stream lined in later installments. So far the description for this game on the store page is accurate and sets the game up for success. This truly is for those that want "something different but beginner friendly". I will post a reply to this detailing what I believe are the strong points and points that need to be looked at for improvement later on.
English translation could be better, it's decent though. Story's a bit 'out there' - might not be for everyone. Game runs smoothly, no crashes or glitches, just some stuttering in the last dungeon moving platforms. Battle mechanic is uniquely enjoyable - just try it, this game is cheap
Not a bad game but not great either. It is however severely underplayed. As soon as you hit chapter 4 & do its sidequests rare achievements would start popping left and right and honestly I can see why. The earlier part of the story and gameplay would be a good cure for insomnia. Dungeoning can get a bit stale since there is nothing else but your character walking up to enemies and opening chests or puzzles. Your team members aren't making noises or talking to each other if not for cutscenes and combat. I think even simple additions like that can make this game feels more alive. If you can get past these weak points though, the story feels a bit better and also the team + weapon customisation becomes a fun thing to tinker about. The shared HP pool & the mind hack sessions are brave additions to JRPG franchise I'd say. The former makes you approach the game more tactically and the latter gives perhaps the biggest challenge in the whole game. For its design, I kinda like it honestly. Yes the dungeon looks mediocre, but it reminds me a lot of Fate/Extra from PSP. Heck, even one achievement is called 'Far Side of the Moon' it can't be more obvious than that. But eh if you are curious why not I'd say?
quite a nice game. it has many meaningful game mechanics. i liked: turn based battles. infinite dungeon - it's a single best feature of the game! after finishing main campaign i did a run and with all these temporary upgrades, it was extremely satisfying to hit for 300k damage! game really should enable more upgrades on characters also outside that infinity dungeon. p for fast forward dialog clear visual marks (! or ?) showing where is next quest ability to catch train from anywhere by hitting m ability to reset skills anytime dual weapons ultimates what i didn't like: potions - despite game really tries to promote them - i found them pretty useless except from healing in boss fights and sometimes inside dungeon. timer dungeon runs were a bit annoying some puzzles were a bit annoying inability to customize characters with artifacts and such overall - i do recommend
