About
Matchmaker Simulator is a social narrative game that delves into the world of matchmaking.
A matchmaking poster is displayed at the entrance of the coffee shop, attracting a variety of visitors. As a staff member, your role goes beyond brewing coffee—you’ll also create dating profiles for guests, screen potential matches, and write pairing reports. Sometimes, you’ll pen congratulations for successful matches; other times, you’ll have to deliver the regrettable news: "No suitable match found."
Amid the bitterness and sweetness of coffee, you’ll witness the social logic behind mate selection. When the pursuit of excellence turns into a chase for profit, and emotions are quantified into data, it’s like a cup of coffee without sugar—leaving behind a sobering aftertaste.

Step into the role of the "Matchmaker" and choose your way of expression:
Will you be lively and straightforward, or calm and observant, occasionally staying silent?
Your conversational style will influence how guests respond.

Visitors come from all walks of life: teachers, programmers, writers, lawyers... They arrive at the café with their own stories and expectations.
Listen to and record these ordinary or unique tales, and experience the joys and sorrows behind contemporary views on love and marriage.

At the end of each level, you’ll play the role of "Cupid," shooting the decisive arrow of fate for your guests.
They may happily end up together, or they might reject each other on the spot.
Warning! This game has no "perfect ending." Some will find happiness, while others are destined to miss their chance—just like in real life, regrets are part of the journey.

Use the in-game smartphone app to search and verify visitors’ information.
Piece together fragmented data and conversations to form a complete story and a microcosm of society, shaping your own understanding and answers.
The game uses a linear storyline.
There are no random elements for visitors, allowing a complete experience on the first playthrough.
The total game duration is 120 to 150 minutes.

A matchmaking café story where you gather client info and pair people by shooting arrows at profiles, the overall charm is hurt by weak translation. The game begins in the present, but after an argument with one of the customers you are thrown back into the past, to the moment when everything started. The introduction lasts only a few moments before you begin following a girl who has answered a job offer at a coffee shop. Despite the setting, the shop’s main service is helping single people find love. Gameplay unfolds in two steps, the first being conversations with customers to learn who they are and what they want. There is not much work involved, as you mostly click on a few options to set up their matchmaking profile. Occasionally, people will ask you a question or say something that you can respond to in different ways by selecting sentences or expression icons. Your responses rarely matter. You will still receive the main information regardless, and although you might miss a few details later, nothing prevents you from progressing. Some clients might require a healthy partner, for example, which means you need their medical report, while others may care about bank statements. Most of the time people will provide these on their own, but occasionally you will have to check them yourself by entering their code into a phone app. You do not need to gather every piece of information, only enough to understand who they are and what they are looking for. Once that is done, a coffee icon appears, letting you move on to the next person. After speaking with everyone and collecting as much information as you want, the game shifts to its second phase, where you shoot arrows at people’s profile images. When you fire two arrows to create a pair, their images collide. If the match is correct, a heart appears and the pair is removed from the board. If you make a mistake, their overall satisfaction decreases and they return to the board. Make too many mistakes and reduce their satisfaction to zero, and they will disappear entirely. To help guide you, a failed match reveals what went wrong. The gender might not match, the age gap could be too large, or another preference may not align. You are not guessing blindly. You can always review your notebook, which contains the relevant information about each person and what they are looking for. Some characters also mention during the conversation phase that they will send additional information later, which becomes available during this stage. In the end, though, whether you are good or bad at your job, you cannot actually lose. A day ends once you remove everyone from the board or simply choose to finish early. This leads to a short visual novel scene where you talk with someone or test a phone app through a brief mini game, before moving on to the next day. The story progresses across several days separated by months, introducing a wide variety of people, some of whom return multiple times. A nice touch is that everyone is voiced, which adds personality to the characters, and you can click through dialogue without waiting. Unfortunately, the translation is not very polished, likely the result of AI translation. After several days you get to test the final version of the app, which reveals how well you performed at finding people their perfect partner. If you simply click randomly or end days immediately, everyone will remain alone. The game only uses auto save, so you generally have to live with your choices. However, it is possible to quickly force quit during the arrow shooting phase if you make a mistake and reload to try again. Overall, the game has a certain charm and lets you do a good or bad job, but it focuses heavily on a story that never fully shines due to the wobbly translation.
