overall a good Visual Novel. can recommend it. funny moments. some answer options. the price of the game is to high but in offer for like -50% alright.

A really weird visual novel about trying to get a cat to win the presidential election and dating them. There is no lack of cat related puns in it, that is for sure. I quite enjoyed it. Linux version of the game works without any issues.

So I bought this on sale as a joke more or less. But it's actually kinda wholesome in a really weird way? It's like an American politics 101-parody with terrible cat puns and awkward dating. Turns out I'm not interested enough in any of those things to play this a lot. But I managed to get through one playthrough (there's idling in my play time). Cat President: A More Purrfect Union promised to be a video game in which I, the player, would go on a journey with one feline candidate and ultimately lead to their success throughout a rich and enticing campaign journey. However, I was quite displeased at the IMMENSE amount of human beings in this "so called" cat video game. I would also like to point out, a very frustrating realization. I must admit, I have not yet finished this game. This game, that I had thought would be a 2025 GOTY contender. However, I have stopped to leave this review because during one particular debate, the speaker mentioned the state known as "Fursconsin." I was quite upset by this, as I felt that the easier, and much funnier pun, would be "Hissconsin." (And I'm correct, by the way.) But, ultimately, I decided to look past this. This was, until, the very next screen. In which, I was shown a chalk board filled with the 50 states of America all reprised into various cat related puns. I happened to notice that the chalk board did NOT say "Fursconsin" (the inferior pun), but instead it said "HISSCONSIN." The pun, which I had brilliantly come up with mere moments prior. Not only do I lack the respect of you using the clearly superior pun in place of this childish drivel. But also, it shows a clear lack of direction. It is obvious to me that at some point in development, the name Hissconsin WAS considered. However, for whatever foolish reason, it was changed. And YET, you did not have the foresight to remove the term Hissconsin from the BACKGROUND of the game. Clearly this game is a rushed and UNFOCUSED MESS. I will continue to play it, but I will not be happy about it. Consider this a warning. Do. Better. 8/10
