Its a fun little game, the problem is that it feels more like a flash game or a mobile game, its not worth the steam price, its needs more content, it will give you an hour or two of fun but after that it gets boring
I had a good time with this game. There is something satisfying about killing tons of the enemies with the bloop death sound effect, and the way they dissapear. The mechanic of having to upgrade the enemies after each wave was an interesting idea and worked well for the gameplay. --BUGS-- There weren't very many bugs on release day. (The time I'm writing this review.) - The only gamebreaking one was when the enemies stopped spawning. It only happened once, but was still very annoying when it happened. - [strike] The unlocking the lava level 1 achievement didn't unlock. [/strike] - [strike]One enemy spawned inside the floor. [/strike] Other than that bug, the game is pretty well balanced and polished. --Unlockables-- There are plenty of unlockable outfits for the player and enemies to keep you going for the duration of the game. Lots of achievements as well. (Although the playing 1,000 rounds seems a little too much for me.) It definately added to my enjoyment of the game. Last but not least... The Pricing! I beat the game in 3.4 hours. $7 is a little much for 3.4 hours in my opinion, and would be a deterrent for me had I not recieved it for free. Especially since when I completed the game, I felt like there should be more. (Especially another variant or two of the boss that comes every 5 rounds.) $5 seems more reasonable. Or maybe I'm just being a cheap ♥♥♥♥. But if your willing to spend the cash, I think it would be worth your time. Although I beat it, I can still see myself coming back in the future for another round or two so I'll probably end up spending more than 3.4 hours on it. Oh well.

You’ll fight non-stop against the 4 specifies of extra-terrestrial life on this strange planet hoping beyond all hope that someone will come and save you from the madness! Advance through 15 levels in 3 biomes while unlocking oodles of skins for you and your enemies! Shoot, jump, power up and take down the alien mothership herself in this unpolished, but pretty darn fun, indie arcade shooter!
Long story Long, the Game Play:
Like most arcade shooters, you simple must kill the enemies while remaining alive yourself. This can be accomplished by either A. jumping around like a freaking ninja while trying to avoid the million enemies the spawn at every corner of the map or B.(My personal favorite) plop down like some lame arse turret in the middle of the map and pray no enemies spawn over you. But the real meat of the game is in the progression system. Each time you kill a wave of enemies, you choose either to upgrade the enemies speed, health, or attack. Not only that, but every five waves a new, more deadly, species of aliens start spawning. Furthermore, after five waves, you must fight a giant space ship that drops enemies, shoot bullets, and attempts to fry your buns with its mad lasers! Ouch!
Unlockable and biome variation:
As you blast enemies, complete levels, and survive for crazy lengths, you’ll find yourself unlocking all sorts of goodies! To be specific, Skins for yourself and enemies! A nice little touch by the developer that gives you some goals other than merely surviving. Each enemy has a total of 8 skins, including the default. Three of which match biomes while the others are anything from a slimy grunt to a tanky Santa. The three biomes, which are all five levels long, are as follows, 1. Grasslands- lots of space to move but sloping terrain which makes for tough turretting but great for you crazy ninjas out there. 2. Winter Wonderland- More flat lands but still some annoying hills. Also, everything is now slippery making it difficult to use precise movements. 3. Lave Land- a long flat surface on every level and lots of places for enemies to get stuck where they can’t get out. A cake walk compared to the levels before it which threw the entire pacing off and made finishing the game rather boring.
Music and Achievements:
With India games, music is always a crack shoot. Sometimes you get beautiful, original, emotional soundtracks. And sometimes you get something that sounds like a cross between nails on a chalk board and your cat hacking up a hairball. By the way, my cat crosses his eyes when choking up hairballs. Just thought I’d share that. And then there is a rarer almost more disappointing kind, a game that lacks a soundtrack almost completely. Oddly enough, this game has all three. Each biome has a soundtrack that is first amazing, then horrible, and, at last, simply boring. Oh! I wish I had more praise for the achievements. Too many of them require you to either A. die a dumb number of times or B. playing an eternity. Also, a few achievements won’t always activate upon completion which is very unsatisfying. Still, they most defiantly add more good than bad. In fact, I most likely wouldn’t have played it to completion without them. And I certainly wouldn’t have given the game an overall positive review if they weren’t added.
Conclusion:
It took me two weeks to write these last few sentences. I wasn’t sure what to write. I wasn’t sure whether to recommend it or not. I had written the above paragraphs with the full intention to give this game a thumbs up, but, when it came to it, it just didn’t feel right. I didn’t feel at peace giving this unpolished and slightly broken game the stamp of approval. I admire you, developer, for your passion, and effort you put into this game. But you shouldn’t have released it yet. I did enjoy the game at times, but I wouldn’t have bought it. The game had great potential but, in the end, it was wasted potential.
Saw this guy's post on Reddit and decided to try it out! So should you! Just killed a few thousand of those slimy hive pests. I really like the choice to make them stronger, faster, or tougher. Totally worth the few dollars to support a new dev!!! I'll def get a good amount of playtime out of this one. No real complaints for his first run at a release-ready game. A simple but difficult, no micro-transactions, skills-based game.
Better than expected! (followed the developing of the game) Pros:

Mass O' Kyzt is a simple, yet very challenging 2D-Survival game. You shoot the Kyztlings (purple blobs) and try to survive.
A nice twist and special aspect of the game is, that YOU UPGRADE THE ENEMIES. They can get faster, tougher and stronger. (Work it harder, make it better)
You can unlock stuff (no spoilers), but that requires reaching a certain wave or killing a specific amount of enemies. I like the idea of killing enemies as a goal, as it gives a bit of a grind to the game.
Cons:

The music is a bit weird, but it does fit more or less.
There is no wave counter in-game mode, only after dying.
All in all, I recommend!
cool, hard and fun
very hard but VERY VERY VERY FUN!
Really cool, simple game. I love those small indie games that don't overwhelm you with tons of items, storyline etc. Great feeling to kill a couple of thousand of enemies after hard day at work. I also played it on Ubuntu, which is a huge plus for me. Totally with the 6 euro :)
Mass O' Kyzt is a 2D retro pixel wave survival shooter with lightweight platforming elements. You control a pixel blob in a single screen and enemies drop from the sky that you have to shoot. As you shoot enemies you eventually get upgrades, but these are limited to your health, speed and attack power... it's pretty shallow. There's also boss fights, not that it makes a huge difference. This feels like some kind of precursor to Vampire Survivors and may have appealed to that audience if it was implemented better (and let's face it, Vampire Survivors with all the pixelcrap art is a miracle success against all odds, zoomer appeal is a weird thing to capture). Anyway the game "works" but it's shallow stuff and you've seen pretty much all there is after 5 minutes. And, while it might seem like I'm digressing, picking up crap like this at say 50c and getting 5 minutes of gameplay (because there's not much to this) is way worse value for money than picking up an old AAA game for $5 and getting a hundred hours out of it. Amateur developers... you get less than you paid for. Anyway enough digressing, let's go through the technical defects applicable to this game. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Godot game engine/toolset (the 2D part, the 3D part is actually workable in the right hands). The Godot 2D component is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it's free (so they don't have to pay for GameMaker Studio) and doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's arguably worse than GameMaker Studio). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 6 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Mass O' Kyzt is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
A simple shooter, and a pretty fun one too! The content of the game is pretty limited, but it is pretty satisfying to shoot the aliens till they go poof. Difficulty wise, my only gripe is that more often than not deaths are the result of the swarm of enemies, rather than the upgrades you give enemies offering any significant change to the gameplay, which I think was the intent, still, for the price, I say go for it.
