good game
ÇOK İYİ
This game sets a high bar for video game writing. It's collection/activities ratio is extremely well paced, the story re-invents tinkerer into someone more relatable, and Miles is PUNISHED FOR LYING. Excellent game, near perfection. Runs decently on Steam Deck, but there are graphical errors on both Nvidia drivers and Steam Deck that lead to crashes. Cons: The game crashes significantly more often than Spiderman 1 did, I reinstalled my drivers a couple times but it never went away. Worst crash happened at the final boss fight and it almost killed my entire perception of this game. Pros: Excellent Pacing from collectables to activities. Never felt too overbloated and when we got a new one; it did come with an interesting mechanic to it. The overbloat of activities was my major complaint about the previous title so seeing it significantly trimmed to match the story's length was a welcome addition! The writing does capture the local neighborhood spiderman vibe. Miles takes care of the people on his block and in his borough in a way that Peter doesn't. Pete is quippy and dorky and a hero among heroes; but where Peter is all about his interactions with his villains; Miles' entire persona is based around how he and spiderman helps the community. He is more small town hero vibe where Pete is Big Apple's golden boy. The animation was such an interesting touch! Miles starts off the game swinging very poorly, very sloppy. Like he's trying to recreate Peter's style too much and messing up, but by the Act 2 low point, Miles is way more fluid and expressive in his own unique take (Twisting and looking directly act the camera, in ways Peter just doesn't). That confidence growing is very important to capturing that "Jr stepping up to the plate" story they were going for. If the ending of Spiderman 1 was "Agony", Miles Morales was "Shame". Time after time after time in this story Miles lies. He lies because his elders tell him, he lies because his gut says so, and so when he is pleading with Phin, telling her the TRUTH about the mcguffin, it makes her disbelief so GENUINE. Like yah, Phin is so in the wrong, but SHE SHOULDNT TRUST MILES. This game does not overstay it's welcome with needless bloat; it simply tells an amazing story about community, identity, and honesty. It goes above and beyond. I do recommend picking it up on sale; it's a little too buggy for that high a price tag for what really is a 20 hr max experience.
Very good game, quite short but still extremely fun
