Reviews
The game feels like watching a movie. The combat can get boring realy fast. Get it on sale.
Game is really cool & lot of humour between characters, great level design & lore ! Combat mechanics are clunky, not very intuitive, can be a mess while fightning multiple ennemies (happens a lot) Lots of bugs & crashes. Couldn't fix them no matter what I did, unfortunately. No fix or patch found.

7/10 The story and character writing is what makes this game so enjoyable. Every Guardian is a real person with their own personality, flaws and motivations rather than decorative NPCs. The chemistry between the team is another highlight and some of my favourite moments were simply listening to their banter while moving between objectives. While the story and characters are awesome, unfortunately, the combat is repetitive and enemy variety is really lacking. Once you've seen the first few hours, you've pretty much seen everything the gameplay has to offer. By the midpoint, I found myself wanting the fights to be over quickly just so I could get back to the story and banter. Great story and characters with average gameplay, and no real reason to replay. But, worth playing for the writing alone.
This is an 8 of 10 game that I have to knock a point off of for technical issues. Solid 7. First the good: Strong story, characters, and writing (dialogue). Equal parts fun and dramatic. Does it better than the 2nd GotG movie. Combat took a minute to get used to but once you get it down, it's fun, even if a bit repetitive. You gain new abilities at a good enough pace to keep things fresh. The collectibles are cool and the costumes/skins are good. Lots of lore and easter eggs for comics fans. I definitely recommend this one. However, it has many flaws. I don't think this is optimized for PC. I experienced many glitches. Clipping, falling through world, getting stuck in poses/animations, menus remaining onscreen after dismissal, and the incorrect text appearing (I had text for the Ultimate Nullifer exhibit in the Collector's museum pop up every time I tried to read a report for a whole chapter.) If you pick something up just as Peter is supposed to choose a dialogue option, the graphic remains on screen after your choice. The game also froze on me 5 times in the last few chapters. Thankfully, nothing game breaking that a reload or restart didn't fix, but it's still frustrating. Outside of bugs and glitches, the only other thing that was a negative is the fact that no one shuts up. I know it's on brand, but I'm trying to move through the game and actually progress, but if I move too far then the conversation stops or changes. There's a ton of dialogue and you never know when it's safe to proceed without cutting off the voice lines. Plus the team constantly pesters you while your trying to find collectibles and it's annoying. I guess combat can be a bit busy at first to get used to with all the buttons (I kept calling a huddle on accident when trying to access teammates abilities), but by the end of the game I had it sorted. The plethora of different QTE's can be a bit annoying at first as well until you get used to them. Overall it's a good to very good game, hopefully you won't experience the frustrating bugs that I ran into.
