About

2184, the Martian city of Pavonis: the place to be on the partly terraformed red planet. The Martian population decided to take evolution on a whole new path and turn their once human bodies into a plethora of shapes and forms: fully custom-built bodies to take on the challenges of living on a harsh new planet.
New Mars, with its subsidized transhumanism, would practically be a utopia if it wasn't for the rampant corporate greed and power-hungry police, all looking to take advantage of its fresh-faced populace.
Enter: Dax, civil investigator with poor impulse control, and his world-weary new partner, Anaya.
Welcome to Mars! Don't ask too many questions.

Non-linear dialogue and keyword-based interactions.
Best of both worlds: Visual novel & 3D adventure mechanics combined.
Explore lovingly hand-crafted 3D environments brimming with clues.
A deep dive into Martian biopunk and corruption through a comedic lens.
And, naturally: Take selfies with and finger-gun plenty of uniquely weird NPCs!

Short but sweet! I'm usually not a huge fan of narrative adventure games, my attention span is just too short. But there're some interesting turns, even more interesting characters and actual investigation taking place over the map. There's much to find in the environment and the dialogues are stylish and interesting. Plus poking around in conversations yield bonus words to use for further conversations. Maybe the narrative gamers here won't bat an eye but to me this was actually new!
I have very much enjoyed the setting and artstyle of the game. I have a soft spot for 2D spirtes in 3D enviroment games. I'd wish to see more of such. There's a lot of various and beautiful furry art in there <3 The lore of the setting got me very much intriged. I like your idea of biopunk. It would be great to see more content set in this world. The story was also quite interesting, tho few times I had felt the story did a narrative jump out of nowhere, but it could be me. Dax was an enjoyable character and I like the "cop buddy comedy" between him and Anaya. I'm glad I played such fun and visually attractive furry game :D
A satisfying game. The art is fabulous from the character designs to the fully animated action scenes. I also appreciated how bop-able the music was while still being able to let it fade into the background when focusing on the dialogue. The story kept me interested, and I enjoyed exploring the world of Pavonis.
This was delightful! The adorable main character initially dragged me in, but everyone else wes compelling and the story went a direction I was not expecting. Short and sweet, give it a play!
I spent a good while looking forward to this one once I saw it. I was hoping to get an itch left behind by games such as Paradise Killer scratched. And, since I saw anthro characters, I figured it'd be even more up my alley. Overall, Mars Vice is a solid experience in my opinion. One thing I can say for absolute certain is that the artwork is incredibly polished with many designs that are incredibly eye-catching. The characters are all defined very quickly and in ways that are pretty charming. Everything else, though... It could make improvements for the next project, or if we ever return to Mars. First, though, I cannot get enough of our primary main character, Dax, in particular. That, at least, is good. A game like this rides and dies by having characters that are easy to like or get interested in, and that goes double for the protagonist. Anaya is a fun foil and helps ground an outside audience as the local person from Earth. Having these two in the spotlight is genuine good fun, particularly thanks to Dax being the openly wild one. One can never tire of a hotblooded investigator. However... I do wish that I had my brain tugging a lot more for the investigation. There can be a set path of course but I wanted to have a bit more agency when trying to figure out the truth of the matter as Dax. This is likely going to just be a "me thing" though if I had to guess. Meanwhile, the story is a bit... Well, it feels rushed. Not even just a little bit, just outright rushed. It's a nice, short game, but I do think things still went too fast in terms of pacing once we were getting out of the middle and especially the end. It's a shame too, because I think the setup is genuinely pretty alright. I liked what worldbuilding we got too. While the message got across, it didn't let the mystery fester for nearly long enough if at all. However, I reinstate that this is still a solid experience. The characters and the environments we do get to see really do help reel people in and make it fun. I still wanted to reach the end at the very least because of the fact I came to like Dax really quickly. I hope any future work takes the flaws of this project and moves on to improve on them in the next. And, hopefully, maybe one day we can come back to Mars. I think it deserves a whole lot more than what it got here.
If you like a tight story with some fun characters and wild scifi lore then I think you’ll really enjoy this. There no Ace Attorney style puzzles to solve here, but the presentation goes a long way to making this feel a lot more involved than most visual novels thanks to the snazzy presentation. The art style mixes furry 2D characters with 3D environments and it all comes together to look really slick. You explore areas, chat to people and make linear progress through the story. It’s short, but it’s strong. I also really appreciated the queer rep in this game – I don’t get to play as a transmasc lion in enough games! I think the best thing about this game is the way the lore is sprinkled throughout. It’s effectively a buddy cop story (although you’re actually more like Mars anti-corruption investigators) and in along with pursuing the case, you’ll also learn about what life is like on Mars – and there’s some wicked high concept ideas here. Not to spoil anything, but let’s just say the furry characters are more than just a fun aesthetic…
Without playing and being spoiled by the demo, this game has something unique. The characters and world building are there, but sadly not fleshed out enough to be at its full potential. The overall story without spoilers is predictable, yet leaves much to be improved on for a sequel (which I hope inevitably comes). The greatest goal this game has to overcome is the duration/length of the experience. This game is short and leaves many places yet to be explored with a simple maybe sometimes overly so, narrative, underutilized assets, and ideas, yet will leave you begging for more at the end. Again without spoilers, the end, (while arguably anti-climatic) seems rushed and cliche' so moving forward I hope to see this clearly amazingly talented team harness their craft and complete something that further builds on what has been set here. Overall this game is worth the play yet be warned the breath is sucked out very quickly not leaving much room for further replays. To the small team of developers who crafted this game; let it be on record that everything i say in this review is for valid criticism and further help you build and grow your craft moving forward, I was especially enthralled by the smaller details/cinematics of the game. Genuinely this is a great base to move forward and i look to playing whatever comes out next. (SIDE NOTE: Give me MORE DAX)
gut aber kurz
It's a nice game with a decent story, if a little cliché with some things. It being an old school point and click adventure in 3-D helps gives it some freshness. But, it is very, very short, so I would probably wait for it to be on a good sale before picking it up.
Mars Vice, a lovely cop comedy that falls a bit short in the end
Recomending this game is a bit hard to say yes or no to but in the end it is going to be a yes for me. On the one hand, the game is adorable in multiple ways, the setting, the characters, lgbtq+ representation and of course the sexy furry characters. On the other hand it feels like the ending of the story is.... rushed to say the least. When I got to the end of the story I felt like I talked to everyone, exhausted every option and still felt that it falls short of what it could have been.
A lot of characters you meet are one offs that you talk to once to get the information you need to go to the next part. If you do talk to a character more then once they don't really feel like the story has progressed, it feels a bit samey except for the option you need to go further to the next story point.

So what did I like:

The characters themselves, I would love to spend my time learning about them, getting to know how they feel and just talking to them. They all seem very interesting when meeting them.
The story overall, the premise is a nice one, not overly complicated but it doesn't need to be. It's a "cop comedy"it's not groundbreaking but it is enjoyable from start to finish (mostly)
The setting, honestly, it sounds like paradise.. somewhat, choosing you own body, being able to be revived after any unfortunate expiration of your body, at least as long as you have the money to pay for it.
The designs of basically everything, it looks genuinely good, maybe the only thing I am not a 100% sure about is the free roaming instead of just making it point and click, but both have their charm. The designs of the characters, the designs of the world all of it genuinely felt amazing to me.
The start and the middle of the story setting, the story to me starts of strong, we get introduced to the main setting of the game and that people are able to join bodies that they like, then we get into the meat of things with the middle part of the story where we learn more of what is going on, I still really think the story was heading towards a good pace here.

What I didn't like:

It doesn't really feel like any time passes, everything we do is like compacted in 1 or 2 days it feels while I think the games pacing would have been more favourable if we knew it spanned over a bit more time. For instance the 2 protagonists feel way too connected with each other with their quipping for just having known each other for 2 hours.
The run time I played the game for about 4 hours and I am at the end of the story, I feel like I exhausted all the conversations but there are some choices, since I played only once as of now I can't say if they have an impact on the story.
The bad guy, while I liked the character at first you are just not really introduced to them at all and that makes me really fail to care for the character. All we know is only what the protagonist says in the few times he speaks about the character and we meet them once, it's just not really enough.
The last point kind of counts for everyone you meet, a handfull of characters you meet twice but all the rest you only meet once just to get to the next point, and it is a shame because the characters are done so well that it is sad we don't get to spend more time with them.
for instance Derya, the brutosaurus, she is really interesting and (in my opinion) a very cute character which is imporant for the story as it is where it kicks off, but you only meet her once, and while the interaction with her is very enjoyable it's far too short, they gave this character by far the most unique design, the most interesting way of talking and you meet her for about 10 minutes (with slow reading, exhausting every dialogue) and then never again it just feels like such a waste of an interesting character

All in all I say I will recommend the game because I liked my time in it overall and I think the developpers really cared about the story they set down, but I do want to hang a warning sign on it for people to know this is a short game, and the story (in my opinion) doesn't really have a satisfying ending.
