About

2184, the Martian city of Pavonis: the place to be on the partly terraformed red planet. The Martian population decided to take evolution on a whole new path and turn their once human bodies into a plethora of shapes and forms: fully custom-built bodies to take on the challenges of living on a harsh new planet.
New Mars, with its subsidized transhumanism, would practically be a utopia if it wasn't for the rampant corporate greed and power-hungry police, all looking to take advantage of its fresh-faced populace.
Enter: Dax, civil investigator with poor impulse control, and his world-weary new partner, Anaya.
Welcome to Mars! Don't ask too many questions.

Non-linear dialogue and keyword-based interactions.
Best of both worlds: Visual novel & 3D adventure mechanics combined.
Explore lovingly hand-crafted 3D environments brimming with clues.
A deep dive into Martian biopunk and corruption through a comedic lens.
And, naturally: Take selfies with and finger-gun plenty of uniquely weird NPCs!

Mars Vice was better than I expected. The story is fun and engaging, it has a pretty relaxed pace, even when things pick up. I do wish there was a bit more urgency at times as a preference, but overall, it kept me interested. The mix of visual novel and 3D space is cool, though I wanted more interaction on the 3D side of gameplay. The mini games like drumming, pizza throwing, and boxing were fun, but they mostly serve as achievements rather than core mechanics. It would’ve been nice if they played a bigger role. One of my favourite parts was the character art. The hand-drawn portraits look great, and the way they have different drawn angles blend them nicely into the world. The environments are well-crafted and thought out, but I wish there was more to explore in this world beyond the key locations. At around five hours, the game delivers a solid story with a unique style. While I wanted a bit more from the gameplay and world and a few other things, the humour, characters, and overall setting make it a really nice game to play!
One of the most polished visual novels I've played!
This is a five dollar "game, visual novel, whatever you want to call it" at best.
I enjoyed this story quite a bit. The art, the world-building, the characters, the art, the humor, and did I mention the art? That all pulled me in, and though it was a short ride, it was a pretty sweet one. The characters were fun, varied, and interesting, and the setting included some delightful reflections on transhumanism and community. It felt a little rushed towards the end, it could have benefited from a little more game before charging into the climax. All in all though, I'd recommend it. I love supporting small passion projects like this, and if you want to see more games like this with lovingly hand-made character art, it's well worth the price tag.
An absolute delight of an experience. Bold and brave, proud and fierce. Mars Vice is one hell of an experience. I've played more visual novels than I can count over the decades, so I'm always excited to find something new & interesting, and Mars Vice has everything new under the Martian sky. A visual novel with a first person interactive perspective is something rarely encountered, it takes a lot of work to make happen, and to pair that with a fantastic story full of charming characters full of attitude cranks the enjoyment level all the way up. This game doesn't pull any of its punches with its message and the characters aren't afraid to speak their minds. Queer AF, and not afraid to challenge authority, this is a damn great game! The art & music are fantastic, I'm always here for some delightful furry character art and every single character feels right in their chosen form. Playing off the visual & physical impact of their furry form with a way of seeing the world that feels authentic. And the music is perfectly suited for a mystery solving Mars adventure. I hope we see so much more out of this studio, and I'd love to maybe see a sequel for Mars Vice now that they have the engine & design there to work with.
I haven't finished the game yet but so far, Mars Vice has kept me hooked with its funny story, wonderful art and its endearing characters. Okay, fine, it's Dax. I am an absolute simp for Dax here.
A fun and light game with interesting world building and entertaining ideas. My only complaints are that it was too short, and it did not delve into some of it's ideas more.
Really enjoying this so far, really enjoying the art, character writing and world building.
i love the concept biopunk so much
