I hate writing negative reviews, and I almost never do, but I've encountered multiple puzzles now where there is no clear solution using only logic, which negates the way this type of puzzle works, especially if you don't know what picture you are attempting beforehand. One of them turned out to be a horse, but it was a 50/50 gamble whether the "leg" should have gone up and the "tail" down or the "tail" up and the "leg" down, not knowing what you were making. It would have solved the puzzle correctly either way. I don't remember the others I encountered before it, but the most recent was an S-shaped one in the 5x5 grid. I got three horizontal lines, each 3 wide, across the center, and needed to place 4 single blocks. I had no idea where they should go, so I tried it as a "Z" shape and got it wrong, even though there was no reason it couldn't have been solved that way instead of the "S", given the clues. It's a small nitpick, but if there are colors in a picross puzzle, usually you place them individually and they are given as separately colored clues (for example, 2 blue, 1 brown, 3 blue), and it was a small disappointment to discover that was not the case with this game and the colors are applied automatically, but that doesn't bother me nearly as much as the fact that many of the puzzles have an element of luck rather than logic, forcing you to replay the puzzle for full stars through no fault of your own.
The game is so poorly designed it's unbeatable. It's a picross game, so there is no excuse for how half-assed it is. The interfase is clearly made for mobile, with the drag to change pages, I only noticed by accident. There is no support for the right mouse button (flagging button), instead you have to click a button to switch modes, making it as clunky as most of the UI. There is also no restart button, you have to fail on purpose, then you can retry.
Why the game can't be completed:
You get 4 stars for completing stages without making a mistake. It requires replaying the stages because you lack information to get through it with logic. The stars you get are not enough to unlock all levels, so the game is unbeatable. I have every star I can collect, and I'm at 6 stars, unlocking any of the 70 levels I can't do, requires either 10 stars, for the official ones, or 4 stars for the "community" levels. I.e. they didn't even bother to check if the game could be beaten. Some you can cheese through by assuming that the image is symmetric, or in a particular pattern, but pretty much trial and error, particularly for the faux-minesweeper levels.
The Minesweeper stages
These levels are ill thought out. The number tells you if the amount of pixels to paint in the 9 pixel block that includes that numbers square. The reason minesweeper excludes the number's own square in the calculation is because that allows them to give you more information, not doing that means you can't diferentiate between neighboring squares really often. This is compounded by the stupidest idea I've seen in a long time of making the "clues" (which numbers you can see) randomized each time you enter the stage. i.e. they only give you part of the information, most of the time, not enough to complete without having to guess your way through it, and then only letting you unlock more levels if you repeat it without mistakes. If you want to try doing it, just bruteforce part of it, take a photo, and go on from there, and once you finish the level, repeat it following a photo of the completed puzzle. You can get some extra stars by randomly completing "collections" of puzzles (no way to tell which levels are part of them) which build some scenes or drawings from some franchises like transformers, one piece, naruto and DBZ, but they aren't enough to unlock 10% of the levels I couldn't unlock despite having every star available.
Conclusion
Don't waste your time. Picross can be a "fun" turn-off my brain for a minute kind of distraction while you do something else, but this implementation shows little effort, so in my opinnion, it isn't worth supporting.
The controls aren't great (you have to click to switch between flagging and painting squares; you can't just right-click to flag or hit a key or something). But that's a minor issue compared to the real problem here: There are puzzles that are completely dependent on luck, especially later on - ones where you end up in a situation where there are two viable ways to paint the picture while satisfying all the numbers, only one of which counts as a correct solution. This violates the basic idea of Picross puzzles and defeats the purpose of playing.
对这类游戏没抵抗力,建议参考手游月光逻辑拼图,在数字对了一个后就变暗,比如一排标注是3 2 1,在2或者1对了后标注数字变暗,这样就能知道3要连在哪个位置,不然图大了很费脑的
I love picross-type games, but this is sadly a bad example of such a game. Cumbersome controls, lots of the puzzles rely on pure guesswork, internal achievements not integrated into Steam etc. A positive aspect is the 9 by 9 grid game type, but it's not enough to lift it up to a positive rating.
Very poor logic puzzle without the logic. Most of the Grid puzzles require guesswork. And of course you are penalized for every wrong guess. It's also misleading that there are custom levels available. Levels that you supposedly create. This is not the case. They are just drawings. Some of the level titles are in Chinese even though you selected "English" as the language. There's no exit button for Full Screen Mode. This game's a cheap rip-off of "Mystery Riddles" which is superior is every way.
Eventually you get to a point where the rewards for completing each puzzle aren't enough for you to continue playing making it impossible to complete. It also won't let you save custom puzzles. Edit: Tested again on 2018/06/13, still broken. Looks like the dev's abandoned it.
没有买游戏的玩家就不要买了吧,因为买了以后,游戏里面还需要内购,才能玩到完整的游戏。游戏做的也比较粗糙,相比较其他类似的游戏,这个游戏不值得入。
I can't recommend it because the list of negative aspect is greater than the positive one: Positive points: +I en joy the design of the tiles (corners cut, flag is embedded into the tile which is cute) +I like the little explosion of stars when you finish a puzzle Negative points: -There is a single sound track on repeat that I find annoying -The resolution by default is wide but the game only take the center part?! It looks like it was a game made for phones -Right click to cross tile is not implemented, you need to select the flag and do a left mouse click to apply it -Sometime, the final picture is flickering/glitching -Some of the 5x5 puzzles can't be solved with pure logic, I got myself caught while trying to complete 'horse' and the 's' shape. -There is no reset button, you need to go back to menu and found + click your puzzle again to retry it -'Smiling face' puzzle is not smiling :P -I can't seems to buy more stars int he shop -The fact that there is a shop to buy stars, to unlock more puzzle is a bit weird -I was not able to submit my drawing even though the label says 0/5 send today and there is no save button :'( -There is no menu to quit the game -There is no achievements
