Now that I look back after finishing this game and playing the first and second installments of the series, I can confidently say something that might be controversial: this is probably the best prequel in a franchise that I've played so far in the gaming world. The characters are written extraordinarily well, with deep and meaningful bonds between them. They are distinctive and sympathetic in their own ways. The voice acting further enhances the experience, and you can feel the characters' chemistry throughout the entire game in a variety of situations. The facial animations are also impressive, making emotions feel genuine and helping you connect with the characters even more during important story moments. Sicily, with its astonishing landscapes, combined with the game's impressive graphics, provides a fantastic experience as you travel across the countryside in cool, mostly never-before-seen vehicles or even on horseback. The journey is often enriched by genuinely funny conversations between the characters. The level design deserves praise as well, as every location feels carefully crafted and interesting to explore rather than simply serving as a backdrop for the next objective. The story is fairly short (around 12 hours on Hard difficulty), but that's enough time for everything that's happening on all fronts, including character development, relationships, locations, and even opportunities to upgrade your character, change clothes and weapons, and collect interesting historical items scattered across the map during your travels between missions. Some chapters also feature knife fights that are well integrated into the narrative and fit both the setting and the time period, making them feel meaningful rather than forced gameplay additions. The gameplay itself was a pleasant surprise. The gunplay feels satisfying and, in my opinion, is more enjoyable than in the previous games. Since the game takes place in an earlier period, don't expect iconic weapons like the Tommy Gun. Instead, you'll find a different variety of firearms appropriate for the era, which helps the game establish its own identity. The story also contains several memorable missions that stayed with me long after finishing the game, making the relatively short runtime feel worthwhile. Performance-wise, the game ran well for me overall. While not revolutionary from a technical standpoint, I had no major issues, and the realistic character models, facial expressions, and animations added a lot to the immersion. What I want to say is that this is a different kind of Mafia game than what we're used to—and that's exactly the point. If you give it a chance, you'll feel immersed in the game, enjoy the experience, and constantly wonder what will happen next. And if you come purely for the traditional mafia atmosphere, you'll still find it in the form of Easter egg-like moments and connections to Empire Bay (without spoiling any surprises) throughout certain missions and scenes. Whether you're a longtime Mafia fan or simply a casual player looking for a great single-player experience, I would gladly recommend this game to anyone. Enjoy!

Beautiful storie, beautiful graphics and mesmerizing vibe. I'm happy that we have studios making good linear games again. The Mafia series must be one of my favorites series of games.
