I wasn't sure what to expect while I played MacGuffin's Curse for the first time, but it turned out to be pretty fun game. Maybe I wouldn't pay the full price for it, but while on sale? Sure, only if you enjoy puzzle games.
Nice little puzzlesolver. Good tunes, some of them had a little Professor Layton-quality in them.

Awesome!
MacGuffin's Curse is kind of an abomination. It's an excellent puzzle game mixed with a nice adventure. Unfortunately, these two kind of get in eachother's way. If you want to play puzzles, a menu where you could select levels would be better. If you want to play through the story, you might end up skipping puzzles like me because there's so many of them (over 150!). I would strongly recommend the game to anyone who enjoys excellent object-based puzzles (i.e. switches and boxes). Some puzzles are a bit too easy but most of them are great. I've only encountered a single puzzle that i hated because it was just tedious instead of clever. If you're looking for an adventure and aren't really into puzzles, this might not be your thing. There's a nice story with fun characters, but the puzzles kind of "get in the way". You can skip them through a short conversation, but that gets somewhat annoying after a while. It's a great game, but you should know what you're getting into.
Personally didn't find it too addictive, but I'm not a big fan of puzzle games. There's a large variety of puzzles here though, so there's a solid chance it'll be something appealing to puzzle game fans.
It's an enjoyable game if you have the patience for puzzles. The only drawback in my opinion is when you have constantly switch back and forth between human and wolf to complete a single puzzle. It isn't for everyone, especially if you aren't into problem solving, but its a funny quirky adventure with some nice brain teasers. I enjoyed it and do recommend it!
