M.U.D. TV

Seriously Steam has to shut down such kind of games. This game could be fun and would gave us the same experince as MAD TV did. But no... Because developers did not even patch the game since it's released. Constant crashes and save problems make this game unplayable. If developer does not patch the game Steam has to shut it down, it's just a fraud if you spent a dime for this game.

This is an adaptation of an older business tycoon game called MAD TV where you run a TV station and must achieve various goals to proceed through the campaign game (or you can just do sandbox play if you want). Instead of being presented with a god-view and a bunch of menus, you have to walk between rooms and then click on a tiny smartphone as your only real interface. The game concept isn't bad but the gameplay here is needlessly convoluted. Having the game menus appear on tiny little smartphone devices (as you can see in the screenshots) is painful, especially if you have a high resolution monitor. These guys did not learn about UI scaling when they were in community college. Given the game is a full 10 years old now and still riddled with bugs and an unwieldy and unfun interface, there's no excuse for them to charge $10 USD for this one. I'd give this one a miss, plenty of other tycoon games on Steam represent much better value for money.

[h1] Warnung, nicht Kaufen [/h1] Also mittlerweile kann man das Spiel nicht mehr Starten. Wenn man auf "SpielStarten" klickt steht da auch "Starte Startet" dann wars das. Nix mehr, ende aus... Also Rate ich allen die dieses Spiel Kaufen wollen, lasst es. Da Kalypso dieses Spiel auch nicht mehr Supportet und Valve auch nichts dagegen macht warne ich alle hier dieses Spiel zu kaufen. Werft nicht das Geld aus dem Fenster. Unverschämtheit von Kalypso und Valve die das nicht aus dem Shop nehmen.

I love the concept of this game. I put over 30 hours in, but found that i had to use my imagination to fill in all of the gaps this game left. I recommend playing this even if it only rekindles some interest in the concept here. Wait for a sale though. I wouldn't pay more than $5.00 for this particular game. It's old, buggy and lacking in so many ways.Keep an open mind and imagine what it could be! I really wish someone would re-imagine this. Maybe a cross between this and "The Movies"? That was a great management simulation! Ahead of it's time if you ask me. Ultimately, There is a seriously neglected niche here; that needs to be scratched ; )

Leider muss ich dem Spiel M.U.D.TV Erstveröffentlicht vom 23. Februar 2010 aus dem Hause Realmforge Studios ein negativ Urteil geben, hier hat man versucht eine Neuauflage des Klassikers Mad TV (von Rainbow Arts Studios was sich 1999 aufgelöst hat) zu produzieren, was aber leider nicht richtig gelungen ist. Was ich hervorheben muss ist, dass das Spiel ein Speicherleck hat was zum Game Breaker wird! Auf meinem PC (Win 11) läuft das Spiel bis der Speicher (64GB) voll ist und stürzt dann ab, dies dauert ca. 2 Stunden aber es startet ganz normal, wenn ihr weniger Speicher habt geht dies natürlich schneller. Normal spielen geht aber kein Endlosspiel. Dieser Fehler ist 14 Jahre alt und wird auch nicht mehr gefixt. Die Grafik ist Stand 2010 also nichts Besonderes mehr. Das Spiel neigt sehr dazu den Stress Level zu erhöhen also nichts für einen ruhigen Abend zum Entspannen, man wird gehetzt von Spielbeginn bis zum Ende, nur ein Beispiel: die Werbeverträge passen am Anfang gerade noch so, aber Später wird es immer schwerer diese zu erfüllen, dies geht dann nur noch mit Eigenproduktion die aber auch Zeit und Personal kosten, meistens wird diese erst kurz vor der Sendung fertig, die Zielgruppen müssen ja beachtet werden. Mad TV von 1991 auf dem Amiga hat da mehr Spaß gemacht. Überlegt es euch bitte zweimal bevor Ihr das Spiel kaufen wollt und wenn doch dann nur im Sale den mehr ist es nicht wert!

Frechheit von Kalypso. Verkauft das Spiel als Multiplayer und unterstützt dieses 0 so das selbst auf Steam nur noch auf Einzelspieler beworben wird. Support quasi nicht vorhanden. Empfehle niemanden den Kauf nicht mal geschenkt, und generell keinen Kalypso Titel mehr.

Eines der wenigen Spiele, die ich im Kampagnenmodus nicht weiter spielen kann, weil es ein Bugfest ist. Dabei bin ich was Bugs anbelangt, durchaus leidensfähig. Aber hier, keine Chance! Dabei hat es durchaus Laune gemacht und etwas an eins meiner Lieblingsgames, Mad TV, erinnert. Sowohl im Storymodus (Mission 8 glaube ich) als auch im Endlosmodus stürtzt es ab (Speicherüberlauf? Savegame zu groß?). Dabei spielt es auch keine Rolle, dass mein Rechner mittlerweile 32GB RAM hat. Also, wer gerne so was wie Mad TV spielen möchte, Finger hiervon weg und lieber den Amigaemulator anwerfen oder Empire TV Tycoon spielen. Da wird einem "geholfen".

I found this game at a thrift store in 2017 and the Steam CD key that was in the box still worked so that's a hell ye

I remember this game being good back in the day, but sadly this version crashes whenever you try loading a saved game. Another loss to software obsolesence.
