Reviews

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Love that you can make custom mobile suit. wish there a workshop that we can try other people builds?
This is a good game. But it is just not popular. This title has done something that many other titles failed to do. Give you access to a great deal of customization that allows you to create fan made versions of mecha from popular media, be it animated or just drawn. You can also create the weaponry for these mecha and you can use them all to fight enemies in the world of the game. The combat for this game is its biggest negative, as the movement of the mecha fells as heavy as it should but also looks a bit too clunky. Enemies who are hit with attacks recover a bit too fast from your attacks making you feel that even if you land a full combo on a target, they can and often times will retaliate right after. It is for this reason boss battles feel as if they are overwhelming... even though you can complete each and every boss fight in the game with without tacking much dmg if you have a properly leveled mecha. You have ways to avoid the dmg with blocking and or dodging with your boosters but these small blemishes on the otherwise sparkling image of them game seems to be enough to keep audiences from continuing to play. That being said... the combat works fine! No fight feels totally unwinnable. No goal feels out of reach. Enemies feel as powerful as they should on the different difficulties. The Main reason reason this game did not do so well was poor promotion. Not many people know of this title in the mainstream and as such it has gone under the radar. There are cute characters left and right, a good story, great gameplay, cool customization, Interesting enemies, and with a very communicative dev team... this game should have been at the very least well known as a video game.
gameplay vs armored core = 8/10 AC is def harder. this plays more like a musou with lots of options. customization vs ac = 10/10 hands down best customizing environment. place anything anywhere. this is what every uber trash namco-bandai gundam game wishes it was. combats not perfect. but scores better than any gundam game. any. gunpla without glue
Recent import patch removed a lot of exploits the community were using to expand customization like invisible weapon parts and mirrored accessories. Developers removing these also broke the import system itself where it will render left armor parts on the right body. Long awaited feature now bugged and developers ignoring player feedback to focus on garbage unwanted multiplayer.

Cool mech builder, with a game on top. The problem is that the cool mech builder is locked behind the subpar game. The combat doesn't feel good sitting in this weird place between souls like games and dynasty warrior games. You can't go ham and need to use some elements of strategy, but those elements don't feel good and are to limited compared to a souls like. The enemies are to spongy and damaging to let you slaughter them by the dozens like in a dynasty warriors game. So no matter which way you try to think of it, it ends up lacking. ALSO boss fights are HARD and not because of the boss, but because of the infinite AOE spamming minions the boss has fighting along with it, which just feels TERRIBLE to fight.
I reviewed this game once already, and frankly I don't think the issues I have with it are going to be fixed even in full release. The rollout of updates is abysmally slow, and the one thing that the developers seem to be focusing on heaviest is their already solid customization- in terms of parts variety at least. In short- it's Spore, with mechs. That's both a compliment to its creative aspects, as well as an insult to everything related to its gameplay. And I do mean "everything"- everything from juggling your weapons, to the way difficulty is handled, to the way you upgrade your mech, Hell, even down to just *moving around* is a hassle. If you've played Armored Core past 4th gen, you have already played a more intuitive third person action game. Thing is, Armored Core is *supposed* to be somewhat clunky- if you want good mobility, you have to build for it, which you can within a reasonable period of time. This game is clunky, and not in a charming way, considering that the gameplay loop is more of a typical gacha-esque hack-n-slash. The reticle lock is engaged not by moving your mouse, or hitting a specific button while aiming, no. That would make too much sense. Instead, the lock is determined automatically *when you fire your weapons*. Meaning if you want a ranged build, you're going to spend a LOT of time getting your lock on a boss shaken by minions that just wind up in your way. Difficulty doesn't adjust how competent your enemies are. It doesn't make them more numerous. It doesn't give them different or more powerful abilities. Hell, it doesn't even change their damage output or attack speed. What it DOES change is their health. Any boss above Easy isn't difficult because it's hard to fight them- it's because they have so much god-forsaken health. Dodging their attacks is laughably easy, and the developers even recognize this because you rarely encounter a fight where a boss DOESN'T have minions to bite your ankles the entire time. On harder difficulties, this means that you will die not because you made a couple mistakes and got stomped, but you'll die to chip damage while fighting a war of attrition against the bullet sponge kaiju that just won't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die. The enemy designs. You know how people were pretty critical of Godzilla 2014 because most of the movie focused around Legendary's own kaiju species rather than Godzilla himself? The enemies in MB make those guys look like a bastion of creative design. All of the Quarks look like discarded Pokemon evolutions, and it's hard to tell a lot of them apart. They're not even all that threatening looking- some of them just straight up look like DeviantArt scalie OCs. I already gave praise to the game's customization, but that's only in spite of the ABYSMAL unlock system. You run missions to get credits- duh- but in order to even begin getting armor pieces, you have to complete Blueprints. In other words, you've got to collect 3 or 4 Blueprints to unlock the ability to equip standard armor pieces (which, I'll be honest, look terrible on their own anyways, so I usually just opt to kitbash with accessories anyway). So if you want a faster, more beginner-friendly way to build a mech, you're going to have to grind, and pray to RNGesus that you don't get blueprints for parts you've already unlocked. Yes, you can get DUPES for armor pieces you have ALREADY UNLOCKED. In a game that isn't monetized outside of the initial asking price. Why this is even a feature seems to be rooted in adopting manipulative loot mechanics from microtransactions-based mobile games without understanding why they were even there to begin with. And grinding is something you'll also have to do if you want to upgrade your mech to be able to do absolutely anything beyond melee builds. It's extremely clear that the developers have a lot of rebalancing to do here, but I'll be blunt- I do not expect them to especially at the current development pace. The answer to making any sort of real advancement to your mech's abilities and weapons is to replay missions- most of which are extremely repetitive, over and over and over again. I mentioned it being "gacha-esque," and that applies to everything from the gameplay, grind, and progression to the music and generic self-insert story. And I'm talking *the majority* of gacha games, not the few standouts that happen to be fun. Look, if you just want to build mechs- get the demo. I love building mechs, and that's where 95 percent of my play time in this game lies. That said, I wouldn't spend money on it again, as the demo starts you out with MORE CONTENT than the game itself does without an insufferable grind. The cost of entry, right now, is NOT worth it. I've tried being patient and waiting to see some progress on literally anything. There's been two updates in the span of two years, and none of what needs to actually change to make this game good, or even serviceable, has changed in that time. If you're looking for a good mech action game, search elsewhere. I already mentioned Armored Core, but seeing as that's a full-priced triple-A game series, I don't want to say "just get AC lol" because that's an extremely unfair comparison. I'll update if I find another game that I personally enjoy, but I've heard recommendations for Zone Of The Enders and Daemon X Machina, so maybe give them a look.
