About
Terminus: Zombie Survivors is a turn-based survival roguelike set against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse. Weeks have passed since the zombie virus took hold of humanity, and most of the population has already been infected. As one of the few remaining survivors, you must finally venture out to join up with the other survivors at the Terminus. Battle your way through hunger, frigid temperatures, and ravenous zombies to make it to the Terminus—escape the city through whatever means possible, or even develop a vaccine!
Each journey for survival is different, as the very city you battle through to survive is procedurally generated. Over 150 different areas are generated, with numerous locations to discover, hundreds of items to scavenge, and endless zombies to evade or fight. No two games are ever the same, but the journey to the Terminus is uniquely challenging each time.
Choose your next move carefully! Every movement, action, and decision you make deducts from your Action Points (AP). Strategic management of your AP is key to survival. Use too little, and you might not find the resources needed to survive. Use too many, and you may leave yourself open to attack.
Maintain your condition to stay in fighting shape during this apocalypse. Surviving isn't easy—you'll need to eat, sleep, and stay warm. Scavenge for materials to craft tools and weapons, and cook meals to keep your energy up. Every action, from crafting to cooking, directly impacts your chances of survival.
Choose from a vast arsenal of tools and weapons with which to attack the oncoming zombie horde. Pick which parts of the body you want to hit, and experiment with the countless options on offer—if in doubt, remove the head or destroy the brain!
Survive the unending hordes of undead through one of multiple escape scenarios: reach the Terminus safe zone, escape by boat or helicopter, join a group of survivors, or even develop the vaccine!
Clawing your way across the city, you’ll occasionally encounter other uninfected survivors. Band together with them on your journey, trade goods, or steal their supplies and find your own way to survive the end of the world.
Soldier, police officer, firefighter, farmer—each one will fare differently in an apocalypse, but it’s up to you to discover which one stands the best chance of surviving. Pick from 15 different classes, traits to unlock, and stats to upgrade as you build the ultimate survivor.
Use sandbox mode to tailor your survival experience by adjusting settings like spawn rates and resource availability. Try surviving additional game scenarios such as Out of Stock, Crowd, and Frozen Zombies to discover new ways to play Terminus: Zombie Survivors.

One of the best games in the genre I encountered during my 20 years journey of finding the perfect Roguelike. And here I try to describe why. It's definitely not the theme for me. I prefer fantasy, dungeons and knights over zombies and apocalypse. So, what makes this game unique: - It's one of the cleanest games in UI, mechanism and artwork. Everything is pixel perfect, smooth, logic and easy to handle. - It's unique in mechanism that actually split your single turn into multiple turns. It's totally turn-based, but there is so much you can do within that single turn. - Like in Rimworld, the artwork is useful, but not takes away players imagination. - The procedural part is done excellent. The parameters aren't that tight that every procedural map basically looks and feels the same. Random IS random and that creates unexpected adventures. The complexity isn't that deep as Cataclysm Dark Days for example, but the unexpected challenges are. - It's rewarding in many aspects, can be played long and difficult or short and easy, but always the player feels the tension. - The dev (team) is working on their game over the last years frequently updating and turns player feedback in gameplay when it fits. Today the first DLC is released, I picked it up, but don't have time to play it yet. I really look forward to play this weekend, but as a thank you to the dev I already leave this little review. Good job!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

Like any roguelite, you're subject to RNG, but my introduction was basically easy mode. Ran Firefighter and happened to find a gas station next to a library next to a park. Basically what I imagined to be a Goldilocks situation. This kind of led to a steamroll on the hardest ending because I was so well supplied. There's just one thing I wish was part of the game which would have completely influenced how long I continued to play future playthroughs and that's the construction profession. If I could just move furniture to a different zone and get a huge base setup, that's what I'd be pushing for and still be playing. Now everything just seems kind of dull. Don't get me wrong, this game was entertaining. If they made that change, I'd be back in it in a heartbeat. Just my personal preference though.
Wow... I'm am super impressed by this game!!! I just finished my first run and WOW!!! I felt extremely glad to give this game a chance! So, a little bit of background: I'm a grown, young man with a severe issue in 'gaming decline'. Don't know what that is? Well, I just made it up but it's something a lot of people go through. Basically, I've played video games all my life. When I was a kid, my tiny brain could be entertained by any game but now..? I have a depressing hard time attaching myself to games. When I tried Project Zomboid, I expected something awesome but instead I was very displeased with that game. Why? That's not important. What is important is THIS GAME! I won't lie when I first tried this game, I absolutely disliked it. I found it annoying and honestly difficult to get into. So, I actually took my time with it and boy did I learn how amazing the experience is! This game can feel extremely rewarding and also challenging at the same time which kept my interests high on it. Every decision you make could ultimately lead to either life or death. If you make the wrong move and lose your AP, you could very much kill off your playthrough. So what did I like about it? *Replayable: After your first run, you'll learn there's multiple endings to try. I highly recommend all new players try for the Terminus ending first because it's pretty straight forward and easy to get through as long as you take your time. *Lite-RPG Elements: So in a sense, there's some RPG mechanics in this game. You can craft, trade, and level up stats (though with stats, you read books to get them up). I wish there was more skills but I've barely scratched the surface so I can't say I've seen them all yet. *Extremely-Lite Base Building: Okay, I mean this as EXTREMELY-LITE. What this means is basically you're just finding a house or somewhere and making it a temporary base. You can garden and catch animals for food at your base so it's somewhat base building in my eyes. *Decision making: As stated earlier, every decision counts. Make them count! *Steam Deck Compatible: This game runs flawlessly on my Steam Deck as well! I mainly played on my PC because it's faster paced but it was extremely nice to hop on the Steam Deck too on the same run and continue where I left off! *Game is Finished but still receiving love: This game actually is COMPLETE but still receives regular updates. There's a new DLC coming out which from what I gather will expand the Terminus ending a little bit and continue that route a bit more. That's gonna be so freaking cool!!! I highly recommend anybody to try this. I'm the type of guy that likes to play however long they want on a playthrough and when it's time to finish the game, I can choose to finish the story *cough* Project Zomboid *cough*. If you're struggling with a similar case like me where games are slowly declining out of your life, please give this game a chance. It's highly addictive and you'll scratch that itch for awhile. Devs; looking forward to your DLC! I'm super stoked to get it! In the meantime, I'm gonna get another character going! Should I go sail off or fly away? Maybe get accepted into a safe house... Hmmmm.....
Love this game but for the love of god, please add steam mods support.
in SOME ways, it has zomboid beat, and other good zombie survival games. There arent enough fun and creative 2d zombie rouguelites, and I see some reviews say a survival aspect would be cool.. but I dont know how much fun that would be.. zomboid is specialized for that I believe. Where this game could be improved drastically is more involved combat, buffs, debuffs, diverse zombies (think classic left for dead novelty) and slightly more fast paced. This might mean an overhaul of reading system, or even some of the food/water system. It is a good resouce management system, reminds me of Zero Serviet, but what that game does well (not a turn based) is that you never necessarily have to scavned for it and its simply faster. probably a bad comparison. Great game! Art is awesome! I wish I knew how to make it better: tldr: make game more exciting! more zip zoop bam bam, cooler! edge away from a lot of survival elements, get creative with it.
Alright. I've played through to two endings already in Terminus:Zombie Survivors. The Terminus and Fortified House endings. I'm currently in the middle of another run where I've cleared out the Marina and got a boat up and running, but I'm still chasing around the map searching for the requisite skill books in order to actually use said boat, which will then unlock another ending. That is proving easier said than done though, lol. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3533442568 So, this is definitely a game inspired by Project Zomboid and plenty of other zombie related games, movies, and shows besides. The devs have done an excellent job here in thinking through how their zombie apocalypse would look like and the different ways in which survivors will tackle the apocalypse. The goal here being that, in three of the endings, you are definitely trying to escape the city, while in the other three, you are instead looking for ways to stay in the city and indeed thrive here. As such, the map itself is very large, with 100+ locations including a few unique ones such as Terminus itself, the Marina, and the Military Base. The generic locations are houses, fire stations, police stations, grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, libraries, tunnels, rail stations, parks, gun stores, gas stations, and I'm probably forgetting a few others. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3534100286 The gameplay is action point driven turn-based squares. Each location is unique for the purposes of determining how many squares are available on a local map. There are a lot of factors that affect how much AP you'll have on any given turn, but it boils down to how healthy and well rested you are or aren't. Everything, from movement to searching things to combat have different costs, and those costs are themselves affected by various things such as unlocked traits, your actual ability scores, and such. You always go first, then any survivors in the same area, then zombies. Rinse and repeat. Your primary goal in any of the six scenarios that can play out (as of now) is to accumulate books, weapons, food, clothing, water, medicine, tools, electronics, sleeping gear, and resources for crafting. You have meters for HP, AP, Satiety (hunger), Hydration, Energy, and Morale. Making sure you manage these is the core gameplay experience and everything has an effect on these, including the simple passage of time. If you ignore the latter four, you will start taking damage each turn. Well, except for Morale, which will give your survivor(s) Depression instead, which is a definite AP and accuracy killer. There is also at least one hidden meter: warmth/cold. Additionally, you also have an encumbrance meter, although finding and equipping various bags will reduce your encumbrance. And most of the available gear has a degradation meter, and most of those can be repaired. Some specific items can't though. You will initially choose from three survivor classes, but as you defeat the game and earn points, you unlock new survivor classes. Of all the classes, the most OP one is definitely the Student. Why? Because although you don't begin with as many ability points as a lot of classes, you do have the ability to read books super-fast, and books in this game are how you develop skills and abilities, and how you learn new skills. They're also how you learn new cooking and crafting recipes; and some are morale boosters. And finally, books also will show you where specific types of POIs are on the city map. Everything you do earns you experience points as well, and when you level up, you get to select one of three random skills or skill upgrades. All that said, all the classes are viable. It's just that none are as powerful as the Student can become, because, in addition to reading speed, it's the only class that can re-read books, and as such, it's also the only class that can max out every ability and skill. As a rule, at some point, you will want to find and repair a vehicle. Each uses gas, so gas stations are a must find as well. The city map itself uses a connected node system, and travelling between them has an AP cost. But using a vehicle basically eliminates that and replaces it with a gas cost instead. So, keeping your vehicle topped off and storing extra gas cans in the vehicle is definitely the way to go. You might find it advantageous to consider swapping vehicles and/or maintaining several. For one, some vehicles have a much lower cost to travel between nodes than others. Fire trucks, for example, have an outrageous fuel cost, whereas economy cars use barely any. But they also have limited storage. The most fuel-efficient cars might only hold up to 90# of gear, whereas a fire truck can hold a full 1000#. As with everything else in this game, you are really forced to make decisions with your vehicles. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3534100252 You will meet other survivors at various locations. Talking to them and building up the trust between you will allow you to recruit them. They then become fully playable (although you can choose to let AI run them instead if you want). Each also has its own profession, skills, and abilities. I've had a crew with five survivors, which was great, but three is probably the number to strive for. Whatever number you decide on, it increases your survivability while also increasing how much gear you can carry. I could keep on writing, but I'm running low on Steam's character limit at this point. In my opinion, this is an incredibly fun game. The city changes each run, so each new run is its own fairly unique experience, and this is definitely a game you could sink hundreds of hours into if you were so inclined. Definitely a must play if you enjoy zombie survival and/or turn-based strategy-oriented RPGs with some base-building elements mixed in. T:ZS really offers insane value even at full retail price, which is pretty low at $19.99. Worth a look for sure. I am genuinely not sure where the high reviews come from. Everything is constantly decaying and you spend 16 hours just getting into and looking through a single house. Nothing in this game feels satisfying, logical or sensical. It's just constnatly, RAPIDLY decaying equipment you are trying to repair while starting to death, or you eat and everything you wear loses half it's durability in a matter of minutes. This game is no fun at all and 95% unrewarding maintenance.
