It's the classic PS1 game... though I originally played it on Dreamcast so some of it is pretty different from what I originally played. Still great.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Not for me.. First its poison in the starting areas... Then its paralyze.... No protection from either of them... ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO HAVE FORMATIONS ENEMYES ALWAYS GO FOR LUNA ON THE VERY FOR EDGE OF BACK ROW Then game becomess Grind 2 hours.... Play 20 minutes... Repeat
lembra a infância, mesma coisa que daquela época
still got the original collector's edition (PSX) in my shelf still in good shape, still running on my (working) PSX but i kinda forgot about the game...i mean it has been a minute having been realy put off by (now) most modern jrpgs, mainly because of their writing, plot, characters and general "vibe" i kinda touched back on my favorite jrpg (perhaps even rpg) Breath of Fire 4 (yes, even the "bad" steam-pc-port). the difference in plain quality (every aspect) to any modern jrpg is just insane. so i went on the remaster spree. and yes: Luna holds up in every regard. instead of the absurd cringe-fest SE and co. vomit out (Octopath, Lost Sphear, Elliot, etc.) you get readable text and VO that doesn't make you feel like someone is talking to a toddler. running around in the first village in Luna (SS) and just reading the random object fluff-text is like therapy after having been tortured by Square for years by now. characters crack jokes, poke at each other, grow and fail. Luna's story on it's face should be more infantile than something like the Octopath-series, but even the kinda-sorta-musical-number in the first 2 hours of Luna (SS) feels more cohesive and enjoblye than whatever the whole of Lost Sphear was. apart from that and more for people who do not know the IP: unlike what influencers and "journalists" made you believe it was neither Enix nor Square who made jrpgs popular (globaly). it was games like Luna, Suikoden, Dragon Quest and a whole lot more with the Luna-series beeing a milestone in more than one ways. the general presentation blows everything away to this day, especialy so called "throwbacktothegoodoldtimes"-new-age-jrpgs. play some like Breath of Fire 4, Suikoden 1+2 and the Luna-IP and you will never touch one of these throw-back-trash-heaps again. the difference in quality from games that are decades old to modern day is insane. these older titels were created, written, composed and designed with inted and by people who actualy played games. beeing it the dialogue, world-design or combat everything just clicks. at it's core Luna's gameplay seems kinda simpel. it is classical turnbased jrpg-combat. but it pieces make the clock run like no throwbackgame came even close. your party in both games kinda works like a (classical) DnD setup: cleric, bard, wizard, sorceror/wizard and a mage/fighter+barb for the first game. you get all the gear-slots per char and a lot of unique choices for nigh every slot. you can setup different tactics to make grinding-fight semi-auto or just let the A.I. do the work (more competent than what goes for A.I. nowadays ironicaly). you decide how hard or easy you want these game to pay cause thank god: there ain't no auto-scaling nonesene. want a harder challnge? grind less (perfectly doable) want an easier time? invest some time into the grind. your choice: better than any difficulty setting, cause it is organic. it could go on and on how great the game still looks and sounds, how the story is actualy that: a story not just words and cringe for cringe's sake put together. if you do not know the IP trust us old folk once: Luna is a must have and must play even or especialy today and the port is pretty darn good. the only bad point might be that you will be very disillusioned about about today's jrpgs (and perhaps rpgs in general) and whatever gets sold as the hot-new-as-good-as-the-golden-days-trash-game. play an Octopath game for a couple of hours and then Luna Silver Star Story...you will see the world with different eyes (and then play a modern 3D game on a CRT without upscaling to understand how deep the rabbit hole goes)
I'm by no means impatient with game openings, as I understand that often they are a bit slow, especially in this genre. In this game though, even in the short amount of time that I played it I feel I've seen just about everything I would need to know to determine the quality of the rest of the experience. Dialogue is dull, combat is easily breezed through, the music is unremarkable, etc. I really wish I didn't buy this but it's been over two weeks so I can't refund it.
