I've loved this game since the 90's. The ONLY thing I'm upset about it the voices are not the same. I know it shouldn't bother me this much but it does. And for this reason alone my score for this game drops from a 10 out of 10 down to 7.5 out of 10.
Two JRPGs with a visual and storytelling style of a 1990s anime. With all the voice acting and animated cutscenes, these games feel like watching an anime series with dungeon exploration between plot points. My understanding is the script and translation have been modified from the original version to be less cringy and dated. Even so, there are still some chauvinistic and outdated ideas about gender roles that quickly showed up and became tiring. A few hours in to the first game and I feel there's not a lot of character depth. The characters have distinct personalities and motivations, though ultimately they feel one-dimensional. The characters often bicker with each other which also became tiring. That being said, I feel that's all very on point for the style of 1990s anime these games portray. I appreciate there is a classic mode along with the remastered mode. The border and CRT filters are also nice additions. ********** I completed Lunar 1. These games can be very rude. If you're not careful you can save your game at a point of no return and be too weak to progress. If a character leaves the party, so does everything you equipped them with. The battle mechanics, equipment, and character stats don't have much substance to them. I used auto battle in every encounter. I never changed the party formation or battle tactics. With the exception of a few magic items there's no point in equipping anything other than the newest and strongest gear.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Lunar is a very classic jrpg game series. Because I only played the GBA version of Lunar Legend before, so I decide to buy the remastered collection. In fact, it gives me a huge shock. The story, music and movies are too great. I cant stop to play it. Finally, I have got all of achievements and lots of good memories.
Fun old school JRPG with some essential QoL added. Maybe not as polished as the Vita version, but that was unpopular for its mobile-style graphics. The menu is a little unintuitive but otherwise the game is in its best state.
As a kid I liked Lunar 2 better than 1. Now as an adult Lunar 1 is so much better. Not saying Lunar 2 is bad. 9/10
I didn't own a SEGA console back in the day so I'm happy I get to experience some of the classics on here nowadays at least. Games are pretty good so far and I love how they kept the OG cutscenes. They even added some smaller QoL features AND you have the ability to choose from either Remastered or OG version. Pretty neat.
