Luckslinger is a sidescroller in which you must reload your 6 shooter, you can throw knives, you have a health system and a luck system. Luck expends itself automatically or manually to allow to survive or dodge hazards. The game has decent audio presentation, with records you can collect to get more tracks. The game controls fairly well for a platformer but the level design is a bit bland with simple platforms and enemies sprinkled around. The visuals have some charm but are a definite low point of the overall package. The gameplay loop suffers from having to handle manually all of those mechanics but the Xbox360 pad was working out of the box and the inputs were responsive. This may or may not please a certain niche of gamers but in my case it just was not to my liking.

I really want to give this game a positive review but I just can't. 90% of it is not just good, but great. It just has so much charm but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the boss after you beat the main 6 outlaws is brutal. And not hard in a challenging way, its hard in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way. If you are fine with picking the game up, playing it till its hard, and putting it down then yeah this game is awesome for you. But if youre gonna itch until you beat it I would recommend you pick up another game.

Loved this game the mechanics are suprisingly very accurate and the BEATS keep calling. If you like 2d 8 bit games this is for you. Very fun and well worth the money if they ever make a luckslinger ii i'll buy it full price.

Funny little game, you will need lots of luck for this. It can be quite hard to beat, and the bosses aren't easy. Use a controller if you have one, it helps.

I was looking for a game similar to Westerado, Double Barrelled, and this is as close as you can get. Different but very cool. Maybe a bit too difficult if anything.
