About
In Sonority the players explore a lost world in which music is magic and with whose help you can progress through the game.
The puzzles are solved by the correct arrangement of notes. The solution is deduced acoustically or using symbols. No previous musical knowledge necessary.
The player takes on the role of young Esther, who sets out on a journey to help a friend. Equipped with her pan flute, she reaches the mysterious rockery. But soon her path is blocked and she must use the power of music to overcome the obstacles. Not always an easy task.

In a world lapsed into silence, Esther rediscovers lost songs and mossy works of art. Naturally aided by singing stones and a talking raccoon. Yet there seems to be no trace of the legendary preceptors of music.
The further you get, the trickier the game becomes. Collect new notes and instruments to overcome even the most difficult puzzles of the preceptors.
Interesting new puzzle mechanic based on melodies. (Simple note sequences develop into small melodies and then into complex pieces of music.)
A touching story about Esther and an old, oddball raccoon and his singing stone friends.
A lovingly designed, cohesive 3D game world with varied locations.
Atmospheric, extensive soundtrack with English and German versions of original songs.
Play with keyboard or controller.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXO8weT5bfQ
I felt kinda mislead by the trailer for this one. While everything on the surface claims it's this big musical puzzle game the actual puzzles are purely mathematical in nature. The music is just a theme and all of the puzzles involve figuring out how many notes up or down from a given note you need to be. It actually allows you to just swap the letters for numbers. They're going for a very cute and child friendly vibe in the story, the environment has a miniature diorama feel, and the puzzles themselves are fine if you enjoy the same logic repeated to exhaustion. Might have been more fun if I went in with the right expectations but even then the repetition of the same puzzle with different iterations felt tired by the time I reached the end of the first area.
Amazing puzzle adventure .... loved gameplay and visuals as well as the puzzles in most parts. What I did not reallly like, was the fact, that in one level an additonal factor made the players' life not easier: one had to be really quick to get, where to be. But fo the most part the game is more your brain gym and one walks through a beautiful graphics and nice sounds to a good ending. Highly recommended.
Overall it's a middling puzzle game. But i have to lean slightly towards not-recommending it - for a game that is centered around sound, the obnoxiously LOUD jumpscare music over and over really leaves a sour taste. And you do need the sound on for some parts (music chests).
(Подробный обзор на русском: > по ссылке <) A puzzle game where we build paths by moving blocks via music intervals. + Unusual idea. + The first part of the story with the Raccoon is fun. + A challenge room. + Not short, not long: 3.5 hours to reach end credits. + Achievement-friendly: no missable achievements, a tracker for collectables in each room. = There's almost no background music, just wind, water, and notes from the solved puzzles. = The game is not hard. = It's not about music. You can solve it even if you are deaf. It's just about differences between notes (=numbers) ㄟ( ▔, ▔ )ㄏ – There are 3 instruments, but they almost have no difference; and no interaction between them. – From the second half of the game, there are almost no new mechanics. – The final of the story is very predicatable. Just OK game. I feel that it has unrealized potential to be greater.
It's a puzzle game. The fact, that you can use musical notes instead of numbers (you can change that in settings) helped me to solve exactly 1 puzzle
final puzzle - because it's a certain melody and it was easier to find right notes instead of mumerical patterns for me
That being said - it's nice
puzzle
game. Don't buy it if you want amazing musical experience though.
I really enjoyed this game and the story was interesting. The puzzles are challenging but not to difficult to figure them out. I noticed a few bugs but nothing game breaking to me. I would recommend this game to anybody that likes music and puzzles!
I found so many bugs while playing this. Multiple times I would press a button to start one of the super duper fun timed sequences and it either just wouldn't start or it would look like it didn't so I go to press it again when actually it did now you just reset it but the lights are messed up visually now. (Also in case it wasn't obvious - don't do timed sequences especially if you give less than a second margin on most of the timed things). Multiple times I would get stuck on objects or if you move a platform that you are standing on too high or low and they didn't think you would do that you are softlocked and have to quit to the main menu to fix that. The music was fine but not having actual options in the pause menu but the main menu makes it hard to adjust to get things right. I mean it took this game sitting here unfinished 2 years for me to go back and try and finish and 100% it - WHICH I CAN'T - because achievements for the music tiles? squares? are broken. Just doesn't count it correctly even tho there are 63? it doesn't even say I collected 30 but I have them all from what I can tell. The last area has some really nice musical layering that I would have loved to listen to... unfortunately they also put a lady constantly yelling about how she wants the noise stopped and she can smell you and I heard each of those lines at least 20 times while just solving the like 3 puzzles in the area. That's another thing there is just a disappointing amount of puzzles and them just being subtraction and addition with barely any variation is really sad. I mean you can change timings but then that goes into the whole timing sucks anyway, some are linked to each other which can make things difficult, and other than that and the preset ones there was nothing else? nothing notable I guess. Just a disappointing game.
