this game is one of the best adventure games I have played i highly recommend to play this game if you fan of adventure games.
Pros +Great story +Voice acting well done +Nice art +Intuitive puzzles +Forgiving autosave system (you can manually save too) Cons +Long animations at times +Could have more puzzles Having played a bunch of games in this genre, this is a really good point and click adventure game that appears to be rather hidden due to low number of reviews. The time period and story are great and the characters can easily be remembered. Voice acting is a real gem here, with the dialog sounding very natural and they fit the scene appropriately. The puzzles are mostly environmental ones where you need to figure out “how” to do something. It works out well and only had a few times where the solution wasn’t very obvious. I really enjoyed my time with the game and is worth the asking price of $10 at the time of writing. 7/10 Good
I cannot recommend this game. If Steam had a rating system from 1 thru 5 stars, I'd give it 2 stars. I know I am in the minority here, but I wanted to give another viewpoint on the game. And I'm disappointed because I played Black Mirror 2 and 3 by the same studio (Cranberry Production) and absolutely loved them, some of the best point-and-click adventure games I ever played. My main complaint about Lost Chronicles is that the characters made no impact on me and I just didn't care about them. And this is due to the terrible writing and to a lesser extent, the poor voice acting. Almost all the dialog sounded like video game characters from the 1990's speaking cliche after nonsense cliche (before the overall level of writing moved up to modern standards). And by contrast, the Black Mirror 2 and 3 writing was some of the best I’ve ever encountered. And if I don't care about the characters, I lose interest. Also, some of the character animation was terrible. Walking around was OK, but doing something, like chopping a piece of wood with an axe was terrible or non-existent. Some of the puzzles were unfairly difficult, and so I had to go to a text walk-through. There were also a few logic bugs where if the main character did something out of expected order, he couldn't complete the puzzle and I had to go back to a saved game. The text walk-through I used is https://www.neoseeker.com/lost-chronicles-of-zerzura/faqs/266941-walkthrough.html Some good things: the backgrounds in which the characters moved were all gorgeous. And the game was honest. And the final scene actually did have a small emotional impact. So if you want to play a good point-and-click game, play the Black Mirror games (starting with Black Mirror 1), or play any game by Wadjet Eye Games. (Here, my favorites are Technobabylon and the Blackwell series where the 5 games need to be played in order since it is really one big story with each game being one chapter of the story.) Thanks for looking at this. I hope it was helpful.
Puntaje: 9/10
A nice little adventure game. It's a typical game of it's generation. I see comments on how slow the main character is walking, but I think it's not that bad. It might be because I'm playing at 144 hz. I think it's positive though that once you click on an inventory object and something in the environment you run towards it instead of walking. I enjoyed my time with it.
A yawner... 6 of 5 must play. 5 of 5 great story great game-play. 4 of 5 great story average game-play. 3 of 5 average story great game-play. 2 of 5 play only if it's your favourite genre. 1 of 5 play if you have nothing better to do. 0 of 5 play if you're a masochist. -1 of 5 avoid. Lost Chronicles of Zerzura score is 1 of 5.
