Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is old but gold and still holds to the test of time, takes a while to figure out but its worth it
I like that it is a turn-based game, not "live" - there's no stress to playing, just enjoy the environment of the setting and while away an hour or so playing.
I don't know what they've done to this version but it's much crappier when it comes to controlling the army as well as autocalc the battle results. this game was nostalgic and great. there was no reason to Fk with it.

A forgotten classic. I'm so glad I picked this back up again, all these years later. Just one more turn!

Great great game, I liked it in 1999, but I love it in 2026. I also love Anno series, Civ series, Warcraft, Starcraft, AoE, Europa Universalis, and I can say this is a simple board game with great economy mechanics, short matches, great challenges, just spectacularly fin game. We end up exploiting the AI's shortcomings and a few limitations here and there considering I've played many 4x/strat/rts games, but it is still as fun today as it was 30 years ago, even with the wonky combat control and movement - which can be frustrating at times, but it doesn't harm this gem. Props to the designer and Sierra, absolute PC masterpiece. LotRII reminds me why PCs are a superior gaming platform.
Blast from the past that I always enjoyed. Easy to play tough to master!
I remember this game fondly from many years ago. I still pull it out and play it again when I want t unwind with something predictable and not too challenging. It's turn based, so is nt too frenetic. The AI in sieges is so easy to beat it spoils it a bit, but you can lose in the actual pitched batles. Both the prequel and the sequel (LOTR and LOTR3) do some things better and some things worse, but if you don't demand HD graphics it's an enjoyable single or multiplayer wargame.
