https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3694868516
Idler where you take care of plants and research new seeds. This has to be one of the most dull and unfulfilling games I played in a while. There simply isn't a whole lot to do, similar games give the dopamine rush when you see numbers go up, that's not the case here. Even the reseach aspect is very limited. The game puts bigger emphasis on pointless decorations than what should be the core gameplay, good luck cramming the things to those tiny rooms along with all the plants.
I wish I had refunded this when I had the chance. It isn't a bad game, it's just not to my taste. I don't want a garden game that functions in real time. I want to be able to grow my plants, tend to them and harvest them in one sitting. I thought I would enjoy it, which is why I bought it, but it didn't end up being for me. And the other gameplay elements haven't managed to capture my attention enough to make it feel worthwhile. Again, not a bad game. Just not to my taste. That is the ONLY reason I'm giving it a thumbs down.
cute small game but not really worth it at full price cus it doesnt have a lot of content, get it at a good sale
Garden In! is a warm, contemplative sandbox about nurturing plants and creating cozy indoor spaces, and its greatest triumph is how effortlessly it invites players into a slower rhythm. Developed and published by Dramatic Iceberg, the game leans entirely into gentleness—soft colors, delicate animations, and a quiet sense of progress that unfolds at its own pace. Rather than pushing the player toward efficiency or competition, it instead encourages presence. You begin in a small, sunlit room with only a few pots and seeds, and from there the game steadily opens into a soothing loop of planting, watering, decorating, and discovering new flora. It’s an experience built less on challenge and more on the simple pleasure of tending something beautiful over time. The core mechanics revolve around selecting pots, choosing soil types, planting seeds, and watching your plants grow gradually in real time. Garden In! doesn’t hide behind complex systems or heavy simulation; instead, it embraces simplicity as an aesthetic choice. Growth takes hours rather than minutes, and plants continue developing even when the game is inactive. This design invites a check-in style of play—watering your seedlings, rearranging a shelf, or experimenting with hybridization before stepping away again. It echoes the cadence of caring for real plants, where patience is part of the reward. Unlocking new plant species through combinations or achievements adds a sense of discovery that motivates you to keep experimenting without the pressure of deadlines or failure. Visually, the game is charming without being overstated. Gentle lighting, pastel hues, and clean lines create interior spaces that feel inviting and personal. Each room you unlock becomes a canvas for expression, allowing you to customize layouts, place furniture, change décor, and arrange plants in ways that reflect your own aesthetic sensibilities. This freedom is amplified by the fact that nothing in the game costs currency—every pot, furniture piece, and decorative item is instantly available once unlocked. It makes experimentation frictionless, allowing you to redesign rooms on a whim without worrying about resource management. This openness transforms Garden In! into as much a decoration game as a plant-growing one, giving it appeal that stretches beyond fans of gardening themes. As calming as the experience is, the game does carry some limitations that stem from its design philosophy. Because the growth cycle is slow and depends on real time, players expecting active engagement may find the pace too passive. For those accustomed to quick gratification in simulation titles, Garden In! can initially feel like a string of small chores—water here, spray there, wait a few hours, then repeat. When managing numerous plants, these actions can become repetitive. Likewise, while hybridization adds depth, the interface is not always clear, and it can be difficult to remember which seed combinations yield which new plants. The late-game progression, where tasks require high quantities of plants or repetitive actions, can turn meditative calm into mild grind if approached too mechanically. Despite these drawbacks, Garden In! succeeds at the experience it aims to deliver. It is a gentle, aesthetically grounded retreat that asks the player to slow down and enjoy small moments rather than chase constant stimulation. In a landscape of fast-paced, high-pressure games, its quietness feels intentional and refreshing. It works best not as a game to binge for hours, but as a companion you revisit periodically—watering some vines, adding a new shelf, planting a fresh seed, then stepping away to let time do its work. When framed this way, the game becomes a soothing ritual rather than a task list. Ultimately, Garden In! is a lovingly crafted ode to growth, creativity, and calm. It won’t appeal to players looking for complexity, but for those who appreciate gentle pacing, soft aesthetics, and relaxed sandbox play, it offers a cozy and restorative experience. Whether you’re tending a digital terrarium to unwind after a long day or crafting the perfect virtual plant-filled nook, Garden In! provides a charming little sanctuary where patience blossoms into beauty. Rating: 8/10
"Garden In!" jest to relaksujący symulator z sadzenia roślin, prowadzenia ogrodu. ☀️
I am one of an unfortunate number of people for whom the game doesn't want to work; the game window goes unresponsive within seconds of booting and gets stuck on a black screen, and the only way to close it is via Task Manager or forcestopping it via Steam. I was eventually able to get it working on my laptop, but with such a serious bug affecting several people still in, regardless of how I feel about the actual gameplay, I just can't recommend this.
very lovely little game that doesn't overstay its welcome. the real-time growing can be a bit frustrating, but the optional clock skip forward and the upgraded gardening tools make it much easier to play through. i really enjoyed the different designs of each flower <3 i also lost a couple hours to just decorating the areas -- there's a surprising amount of depth and decor options available!
