WOW - my little grey cells are burning.... this is a deceptively difficult game, contrary to what it may seem on the surface. It gets challenging very quickly so if you feel the need to hone your wits, this is a great place to do so. No timer, no pressure - just you versus the LOOP.... highly recommended to those who appreciate a good puzzle.
If you like jigsaw puzzle games, I recommend this game. I used to play the board game that this is based on, Psyche-paths, so I admit I bought this for nostalgia as much as any other reason. (I got it during the Steam Winter Sale for about half off, and I think that it was worth it.) Even so, it is a decent jigsaw puzzle game where you have to keep swapping around hexagonal tiles until you solve it by having all the colors be in their own loops. Besides tile-swapping, other mechanics include tiles that are fixed in place but rotate and tiles that are fixed in place but change colors. I ignore both and just do all the edges first-- a few seconds of perusing the tiles to see which must-- simply must!-- go on top or bottom saves hours later on. Sadly, the bonus goldfish level isn't available in Vermont. Otherwise, a solid thumbs up!
Very solid puzzle game. I thought initially that 100 levels would be quick to burn through, but as of writing this review I haven't breached 30. You can see from the screenshots and trailers what kind of game this is, so if it looks like your kind of thing, you won't be disappointed. I will say that it's not terribly relaxing unless you turn SFX down to around 15-20% (from 100%)- but after I did that, no complaints at all, definitely worth the asking price.
First impression: solid puzzle game. You swap pieces to make loops; some piece can't be swapped, but those can rotate, or they can change color. Like similar games, this is challenging, but not too difficult. There are 100 handcrafted levels, a level generator, and even an achievement for doing 1000 of these. There's a colorblind mode. The price is right, too. Recommended.

You start each puzzle with predetermined set of hexagon tiles, you can exchange positions of any two (in the beginning) in order to eventually match up all of the colors that are there in the right places, so that every color completes a loop. It sounds easier than it is. Sometimes you really need to think hard to finish a level. The game starts simple, but will increase in difficult rather quickly. Later in the game there will also be tiles that cannot be moved, but they can be turned. All to add to the complexity. There are 100 regular levels. And thanks to the level generator there are effectively infinite levels. Overall the game offers a relaxing experience. There are neither no penalties for making mistakes, nor is there a timer. You only need a mouse to play. The graphics appear simple, but it suits the game well. The music is relaxing too. The game offers a colorblind mode. LOOP: A Tranquil Puzzle Game -- Example of Gameplay https://youtu.be/sHxGPxd1FzM I have spent many hours playing this game and have yet to achieve 100% achievements. I have enjoyed my experience with this game. So if you like me and enjoy puzzle games, I would highly recommend LOOP. 9/10
Fun puzzle game where you have to swap hexagonal tiles until you are left without any loose ends. Additional tweaks turn up in later levels. Unity launcher with settings for different resolutions and window/fullscreen mode! Separate settings for music, sound, and rain sound, per percentage from 0 to 100, increased/decreased by 5 with +/-. The colourblind mode makes the background white and the colours more distinct, some at least. I am not colour blind, so I don't know how well that works. (I played with that first, thinking it would be better, but checking for the review I find the gray background nicer on the eyes. I don't like bright backgrounds. I expected additional indicators, like numbers or shapes or something, but that's not present here.) There are 100 levels, increasingly difficult, with the occasional break in between, a little easier, rather pleaseant in between some tougher levels. When you finished one it goes on to the next with just 1 click on the finished puzzle. You can get a random level, just put in a seed number to generate it, and after that you can keep playing again; once done with a level, the random seed will add +1 and give you the next generated puzzle with a click on the finished puzzle. That's just soooo nice! (I started with 0, and the max is 999999999!) It saves the state of your puzzle, as well as the seed number. :) Only drawback, now I keep seeing the game's shapes on random surfaces like bathroom tiles. :) (But then, ages ago I started mentally sorting cars on the street after playing too much tetris. That went away too. :) ) Definitely recommended!
the title and the screenshots speak for themselves: you have to create loops of different colors by switching pieces around. later on you get fixed but rotatable pieces and later still more fixed ones that you can change the color of. there are 100 regular levels and a level generator for nearly endless fun if you so desire. I found the difficulty of the 100 levels just right, not too easy but not tear-out-my-hair difficult, you can figure them out eventually, though puzzle progress is not saved if you leave a level. you can do them in any order though, all of them are unlocked from the get-go. the music's ok too but I thought the sound effects were a bit annoying. adding ambient rain sounds to the background was a neat idea though and there are separate volume sliders for all three. the only technical shortcoming on windows is that saves are stored in the registry instead of a separate file. loop is a simple but cool idea very well executed, it's highly recommended for puzzle fans.
I don't usually review games, but this one is special. A nice puzzle game that can be played either as brain workout and try to figure out where pieces go to form the final shape with logic and visualization or played by just moving things around until you get a flash of inspiration and complete the level. I prefer to just move things around but some times it's nice to try and see if you can figure what the shape is with all the pieces scattered around. I backed this game on kickstarter so I got a couple more hours of play and I'm still not even close to level 100. Definetly worth the price if you are into puzzle games. As was said, maybe just lower the volume a bit and it can be pretty relaxing. I wish a negative mod would be added, all that white can be blinding.
A simple puzzle game of connecting curved "lines", some easy, some head scratching. No trading cards. 13 achievements, the last 3 achieved by doing generated procedural puzzles (0-999999999) in any order or any number. The player only needs to do 1000 of these puzzles to get those last 3 achievements. Oh yes, I did say 1000. For the actual 100 game puzzles there is a complete solution guide. For procedural puzzles there is a numbered guide for some solutions. For people who like puzzles.
A simple but nice puzzle game where you have to move tiles around, rotate them and have them change colors till you have a continuous loop of the same color. There is a 100 main levels in total to solve and then a basically infinite level generator if you want more. Personally I found the game a bit too hard for my taste, but that doesn't make the game bad by any means, its very good if you want a good challenge. If you care about completing your games there is an achievement that is quite annoying to get: Gold Loop which requires you to beat 1000 generated levels. However it is doable with an auto clicker/script if you don't enjoy the game quite enough to actually play another 1000 random levels on top of the original 100. Linux version of the game works great and without any issues.
