Cute game, but please please please... don't abandon this project. I want to love it, but it's so unoptimized and needs a lot of work. It seems like the developers have given up with updating it, and I'd be surprised if they ever made any new changes. It's still in the Christmas theme, which is kind of funny considering that it's been five months since, and they still haven't rolled back to the original theme. EDIT: I have emailed both the publisher and developers, urging them to at the very least make an announcement about it and have only gotten silence from their end.
It's fun for a bit but becomes repetitive. Dev hasn't updated the game in months though. Still Christmas in May. Seems to have abandoned this early access game unfortunately
hey this game was cool but it it wasnt that great. coffee please but i start with tea? weird
This was on my wishlist since last year and I finally bought it. Unfortunately, the controls are clunky and the theme is still stuck on Christmas 😔 Refunded.
There are too many bugs, the assistant doesn't work much and will block the way, the most important thing is that it takes up too much CPU, the CPU fan is spinning wildly, I don't know what the code of this game has written that takes up so much CPU capacity.
I was looking for something like this where you play as a waitress or host and this is a perfect game. Developers also make an effort to fix some issues like having the items on top of the screen on not on the tray so when you deliver the foods, it won't overlap on the screens. Also the tipping system is so smart - making the cat happy. I thought there was no purpose to the cat there just an aesthetic but with that new game play having the cat being happy, it's very smart. I will continue to play. Overall, it's a very chill game. I like to play in the morning before working from home.
As of 11/12/24 When I exit the game and go back in, only some of the decor I bought has saved :( and no money back. It is an early access game so its def glitchy, but besides that Its really chill and relaxing <3
Coffee Please, developed by Nepix and published by OneTwoPlay, is a cozy café management simulator that focuses on creating a relaxed, approachable experience built around everyday routines rather than complex systems. It places players in the role of a small coffee shop owner, guiding them through the process of serving customers, managing inventory, and gradually expanding their business. Rather than aiming for deep simulation or high-pressure gameplay, it leans into a more laid-back design philosophy, making it accessible to a wide range of players who prefer a slower, more controlled pace. The core gameplay loop revolves around handling customer orders and maintaining the flow of the café. Players prepare drinks and simple menu items, process payments, and keep track of stock levels to ensure the shop runs smoothly. There is also a light economic element, allowing players to adjust prices and manage profits, which adds a layer of decision-making without becoming overwhelming. The mechanics are straightforward and easy to learn, making it possible to jump in quickly, but they still provide enough structure to keep the experience engaging over time. One of the game’s strengths lies in its flexibility. It offers different ways to approach the experience, including a more relaxed mode where guidance is readily available and a slightly more demanding option that requires memorizing customer orders. This allows players to tailor the level of challenge to their preference, whether they are looking for a calm, almost meditative routine or a more active and attentive playstyle. The pacing reflects this design, with gameplay unfolding in manageable segments that make it well-suited for short sessions. Progression is tied to improving and customizing the café. As players earn money, they can invest in new equipment, expand the menu, and decorate the space with various items that enhance both functionality and appearance. This gradual development creates a satisfying sense of growth, as the café evolves from a simple setup into a more refined and personalized environment. The emphasis on customization adds to the game’s charm, allowing players to shape their space in a way that reflects their preferences. The overall tone of Coffee Please is one of comfort and simplicity. Small details, such as interacting with a pet inside the café or arranging furniture, contribute to a sense of warmth that goes beyond the core mechanics. These elements help create an atmosphere that feels inviting and lived-in, reinforcing the game’s identity as a cozy simulator rather than a purely task-driven experience. Visually, the game adopts a clean and pleasant style that prioritizes clarity. The layout of the café is easy to navigate, and important elements are clearly visible, ensuring that players can manage tasks without confusion. While the graphics are not particularly elaborate, they are consistent and effective, supporting the overall tone of the game. The audio design complements this with soft, unobtrusive music and ambient sounds that enhance the relaxing atmosphere without drawing attention away from gameplay. Despite its strengths, the game’s depth is somewhat limited. The core loop remains largely the same throughout, with only incremental additions to mechanics and content. While this consistency helps maintain accessibility, it can also lead to repetition, especially during longer play sessions. Players looking for more complex management systems or significant gameplay evolution may find the experience lacking in variety. Additionally, as the game is still in development, the amount of content can feel modest. While the foundation is solid, there are moments where the experience seems more like an early framework than a fully expanded simulation. Future updates have the potential to address this by introducing new features and expanding existing systems, but in its current state, the game feels somewhat constrained. In the end, Coffee Please succeeds as a relaxing and approachable café management game that prioritizes atmosphere and accessibility over complexity. It offers a satisfying loop of serving customers, managing resources, and gradually improving your space, all wrapped in a cozy presentation that makes it easy to unwind. While it may not provide the depth or variety of more advanced simulation titles, it delivers a consistent and enjoyable experience for players seeking a calm and low-pressure game. Rating: 7/10
