Странный красивый мир
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2982824264
A story about chaos and how chaos gets restored back to order along with your (A.I.) mentor. But something didn’t quite go right and chaos regains control again, almost as if you were in a loop. (^- see what I did there?) A loop that may or may not be able to be broken. I won’t spoil that for you, which is really hard since there is so much I want to write here and tell you. But I’d rather have the whole experience of the story to be discovered by yourself since it’s part of the experience and what makes this game so charming.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is pretty straightforward and easy to learn. You push blocks, open gates, take little elevator platforms and take a big moving platform to the next part. Encounter, Rinse and Repeat! The block puzzles are more on the eazy side, maybe sometimes medium at best but absolutely not hard nor impossible. Which is fantastic since they promise relaxation and exploration and not having to fuss about hard and overcomplicated puzzles, they achieve just that. I have a short first look video for you over here.
Visuals:
Mesmerising, beautiful and a true eye pleaser with its unique gorgeous graphics. The contrast between the peaceful and restored areas versus the utter chaos brought so much to the atmosphere and the story. The person or team behind this really thought things through and it shows.
Sound:
The music was stunning, beautiful and on key. Along with the visuals it contributed so much to the atmosphere, story and overall experience for me, as they went hand in hand. I enjoyed it so much and I’m even a little bummed that there isn’t a soundtrack of it.
Controls:
I played it with a controller. All I needed was my twin sticks. One to move my character around and one to move the camera around, of which I admit I constantly forgot. Don’t be like me, make your game life easier and don’t forget about it. I briefly tested, out of curiosity, and it looks like keyboard + mouse is good to go too. The keyboard arrows made my character walk around and the mouse controlled the camera by pressing the left mouse button down and dragging it around.
Issues:
I didn’t have any. So, that’s awesome sauce!
Closing word:
What a journey it was, as I came to the end of it after two hours and it’s a bit of a fifty-fifty feeling. In an odd way I was relaxed, satisfied. It felt completed. Rewarded. Yet, a side of me craves more. I wouldn’t mind seeing a second part, if there can be more told somehow. But maybe the story is complete and there is nothing else to add. It’s a craving versus accepting. I even have to admit at the end of my journey, my resting sour face and mouth curled upwards. A game in a way so minimalistic and yet so unexpectedly big blew me away. The first thing I did afterwards was go to the steam store and see what else ;Hug The Chilli’ had made, but unfortunately nothing yet. Therefore, I will be watching closely as I cannot wait to see more from them. I find them very talented and will keep an eye out for future releases. Whether it is an extra part for Loop, a Loop 2 or an entirely new game. Thank-you, ‘Hug the Chilli’, for the magical experience of Loop. I hope this review can encourage people to consider giving this little gem a try. And as always, I do hope you enjoy it as much as I did. With love, Tchii
I received the product for free. Absolutely lovely and chill puzzler. The puzzles are not terribly difficult, and if you mess up, you can exit and come back in at the start of the puzzle and try again. Some puzzles are more complicated in that they take a good number of steps to complete. Some have only one apparent solution, others have multiple solutions that will work. Needs a bit of brain power for some, but none are like trying to do higher math or build a rocket. There is some "scary" stuff that might happen that may upset very young children, but older children could probably play this game safely as long as someone is there to explain what is happening is a metaphor, and not real. Parents usually know their children well enough to know if anything in this game would freak them out- if the grown-ups play the game first. So I'll say it is family-friendly, within limits. Not for really young children. The artwork is serene and abstract. May not work well for folks with certain form of color-blindness. Chech screenshots against your machine's system settings in color-blind accessibility modes. There are no accessibility options in the game, so any solutions would need to be local system settings and options. The music is perfect- it sets the mood for where you are at and what is going on, without being obtrusive and overpowering. It just works. There is no voice acting- and the game can be played without the music- which makes it a good game for Deaf and HoH players. There are no in-game settings for graphics options. The minimum system specs tell you that integrated chips or very old dedicated GPUs may not work. So- it's basically "It runs" or "It doesn't run". It ran well on my desktop and didn't really raise CPU or GPU temps at all, but I am on an i9 9900K with a 2070 RTX Super with 16 GB DDR4 RAM- so I am not playing on a lower-end machine or a very old machine with very limited resources. There are no Steam Guides for the game- so you will either have to figure things out on your own, or search the Interwebs to see if there are any online guides or walkthroughs. So- no achievement guides to explain what you have to do to unlock some of them. Some seem to be progression related (unmissable), some seem to be related to how you solve certain puzzles, and can be missed if you use the most obvious logical path to solving them. So achievement hunters may find a bit of frustration with this game. There may be a Steam achievement guide on the Webs somewhere, but I haven't bothered to look for guides yet. So... I have unlocked 2 hidden achievements and really have no idea how I unlocked them (what exactly I did). IMHO, full price would be worth it for this game for the calm, chill, thoughtful experience it provides. On sale- if you are looking for a more laid-back puzzle game- grab it. If you want your hand held and must have detailed guides or walkthroughs- maybe avoid until some get published (if they ever do). I have 13/20 achievements at the time of this review. I will be going back in to keep playing and see if I can figure out how to unlock the last ones. There is a loop I must break, still.
Loop is a fun puzzle game where you have an AI friend that you solve puzzles, ride space skateboards, and heal the world with. The game seems simple yet rewarding; the music is quite great to listen to. This seems worth checking out. For my full feelings, please see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxq4Az3mCNw Thank you.
This is a beautiful relaxing game. I still have just reached the second of the levels, loving the mysterious foggy temple, the colors give a sense of aliveness and at the same time the pieces and visuals remind me of a lost ancient civilization. Puzzles are simple and logic-based so it's easy to focus on the journey and environments. I already met my mentor! I want to keep discovering where the puzzles and the mentor will take me in this chilled out adventure.
The game and music was really pretty, it was relatively easy but not like too easy cause I still struggled on some puzzles. I played it on android first then replayed it a bit on pc. The controller feels a lot better tbh. Overall I thought it was a really fun game, and I'm excited to see what other games they make later!
This game is infuriatinly BAD, it may be the most insulting game i have EVER PLAYED. For starters, its a case study on how NOT to be inspired by Journey. I mean, dev took all that made said game great and threw it out the window, just leaving an empty shell of heaviy inspired worst artstyle. But that is not the worst, no. This game is (to me) a new genre, I HENCEFORTH NAME IT THE PUZZLE SIMULATOR (sort of what would happen if a visual novel tried to convince you are actually playing or a walking simulator trying to pass for clever gameplay). No, not a puzzle game, because its too linear and at NO POINT is there ANY doubt of what you have to do, it is so linear, every move (except one) of the """"puzzles"""" is one straight derivated from the previous one. And sometimes, the AI plays it FOR YOU!!!! Most movements are slow as f*ck AND sometimes you have to push a rock a long way only to have to push it back the other way, not because a mistake but because that was the intended sequence The big bad enemy is never a problem, it only acts as a barrier, even when at one point it is implied its gonna hurt you, it just stays there waiting for you to move. As if THAT wasnt enough the games theme is obvious and by all accounts should be short, but no, it keep going on and on on. And even if THAT wasnt enough, i managed to break the game. I solved the """puzzle""" but because I interchanged 2 stones to be used in 2 specific places, causing the barriers to fall, and my AI partner to move from its fixed position, thus locking me on a island (and since i cant take command of my partner, couldnt put him back on the swich, leaving me completely stranded. I was gonna finish it simply out of a need to see games through but that crap was too much even for me. mind you this was 3 hours into a game that couldnt last one more hour, and no, im NOT gonna do that sh*t t myself. This is bad, seriously bad, I play CRAP all the time and I have NEVER felt robbed worse than this.
Wionderful puzzle game with amazing graphics and design. Challenging puzzles. Although It's a single player game it becomes a collaborative one when you find the mentor that helps you in your quest. Immersive music and fog ambience makes Loop a relaxing game.
Loop is a calm, reflective puzzle-adventure that invites the player into a world built more on mood and visual texture than on traditional storytelling. Developed and published by Team Chili, it presents itself as a quiet journey through an abstract temple filled with shifting architecture, glowing pathways, and dreamlike structures that evoke a sense of wandering through memory rather than a physical place. There is no spoken dialogue, no explicit narrative exposition, and no heavy-handed guidance. Instead, the game leans on atmosphere, color, and gentle pacing to make each step feel introspective. You are accompanied throughout by a small spirit guide—a silent companion whose presence adds a sense of warmth and quiet support as you progress deeper through the temple’s layered spaces. The strength of Loop lies in its visual and emotional design rather than its complexity. The art style is deliberately minimalist: soft lines, restrained color palettes, and simple geometric forms combine to create an environment that feels both mysterious and soothing. Light plays a central role in shaping the mood of each area—soft pulses, subtle gradients, and floating motes help create an ambiance that feels meditative rather than tense. Rather than overwhelming the player, Loop’s world feels like a place built for breathing room, a space where the absence of noise is not a limitation but part of the experience. The game often feels closer to walking through a quiet museum exhibit or a stylized diorama than exploring a conventional puzzle dungeon. Its puzzle structure matches this tone. Most challenges revolve around interacting with simple patterns, aligning symbols, guiding energy, or manipulating environmental elements in small but meaningful ways. There are no timers, no fail states, and no escalating pressure—just a series of puzzles designed to encourage observation and patience. They typically require you to look carefully at the environment and understand its internal logic, but they rarely demand the kind of intense problem-solving that might interrupt the game’s gentle flow. This makes Loop exceptionally approachable: even players unfamiliar with traditional puzzle games can ease into its rhythm without frustration. The satisfaction it offers comes from maintaining momentum and watching the temple respond to your actions, rather than from conquering difficult mechanics. The emotional impact of the game is subtle yet purposeful. As you move through the temple, small visual cues and environmental shifts hint at an underlying theme of cycles, memory, and renewal. The spirit guide is a constant but understated presence, and its behavior adds a feeling of companionship without spelling anything out. Nothing is explained directly, leaving players to interpret the symbolism as they wish. That interpretive freedom can be enriching for players who enjoy ambiguity and atmosphere—the game becomes something personal, shaped by the viewer’s own reflections and emotional state. However, this same vagueness means that players who prefer clear narrative threads or concrete storytelling may find the experience too abstract or hollow. The game’s limitations stem from its deliberate simplicity. While the visuals are charming and the ambience is consistent, the mechanical variety remains narrow. After several levels, the general flow of puzzles begins to repeat, and the sense of discovery rests more on shifting scenery than on learning new systems. For players looking for longer sessions of mechanical depth or tightly designed logic challenges, Loop may feel too light or too brief. Additionally, the minimalist direction means environmental interactions can feel sparse—there are few surprises or dramatic shifts in momentum, which may leave some players wanting more dynamism. Still, these boundaries are intentional rather than accidental; the game’s identity centers on restraint, not expansion. On a technical level, Loop performs steadily and supports a wide range of systems without demanding much from the hardware. Controls are smooth, the interface is unobtrusive, and the overall experience is accessible to just about anyone. Its gentle soundscape—soft tones, ambient hums, and understated musical flourishes—helps tie together the atmosphere. Nothing in Loop is meant to distract; everything is tuned to produce calm immersion. Ultimately, Loop succeeds as a small, introspective journey—a meditative puzzle game that values mood over difficulty and reflection over spectacle. It is not a game for players seeking dramatic twists, complex mechanics, or high-stakes challenge. Instead, it is for those who appreciate slow pacing, quiet contemplation, and the simple pleasure of exploring a beautiful, minimal world with a silent companion at their side. It is modest in scope, restrained in its ambitions, and confident in what it chooses to be: a peaceful loop of movement, light, and subtle emotion that lingers gently once you step away. Rating: 7/10
