Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 20 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

campaign is way too hard you lose all your checkpoints even in recruit mode
Franchement, très rigolo ! l'impression d'apprendre le russe avec un mate CSGO
Эта игра больше про "побегать пострелять и захватить кристалл", чем про английский. Минимальное взаимодействие с английском на единицу времени по сравнению с побегать и пострелять в роботов.

If you're a beginner looking to learn some vocabulary in a new language this game is fun, albeit a bit clunky! It'll take you through the first 10 numbers, some colours, directions, and a few basic words. The fights with the re-spawning robots can get a bit annoying at times but it does add to the pressure of learning which works well for me. Overall I do recommend it and I hope in future that there'll be more words and activities added! :)
Not bad but should be longer
I like it! I ran through the Japanese course as a beginner and found it fun and not too challenging. The vocabulary it teaches you is very simple and pretty minimal, but it does a good job of drilling them. The added pressure of enemies and a ticking clock encourages rapid and accurate recall. Like most of these language games, it only teaches vocabulary, so don't expect to learn even basic sentence structure here aside from whatever you can glean from the assistant's voice lines. Most language games are RPGs or adventure games, so being an FPS is a novelty.
字幕を消せるようにして欲しいかな あとゲームボリュームは足りないなと思う
В городе нашел всего 15 кристаллов из 20 и больше никуда нет доступа. А так прикольно, но возврат.
Bonne entrée en matière pour découvrir les bases d'une langue. La langue maternelle est demandé mais à aucun moment on n'en fait usage. Je n'ai pas l'impression qu'on puisse avoir un systeme de traduction à certains moment ou on serait bloqué donc je ne comprends pas totalement l'utilité de la chose.
Linguist FPS - The Language Learning FPS takes an unconventional approach to educational gaming by combining vocabulary practice with the urgency of a first-person shooter. Developed and published by Rocket Boy Games, it transforms language recognition into an active part of survival rather than presenting lessons through conventional quizzes and exercises. Players explore a hostile environment filled with robots while interpreting words and instructions in the language they have chosen to study. It is an unusual combination, but the concept works surprisingly well because learning is connected directly to meaningful gameplay consequences. The central gameplay loop revolves around fighting enemies, exploring the city, locating supplies, and understanding language-based instructions to obtain useful equipment. Weapons, armor, health items, and other resources can depend on correctly interpreting what the game communicates. This creates a practical incentive to recognize vocabulary quickly. Instead of memorizing words simply to improve a score on a test, players learn because comprehension can determine whether they enter the next encounter properly equipped. Repeated exposure also makes previously unfamiliar words easier to recognize during later attempts. One of the game's strongest qualities is its broad language selection. Players can practice languages including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Swedish, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and English, with certain languages offering additional presentation options such as different writing systems or romanization. Voice recordings add another useful dimension because players are not restricted to reading vocabulary on a screen. Hearing words repeatedly can help strengthen the relationship between spelling, pronunciation, and meaning, making the experience more useful than a purely text-based vocabulary game. The first-person shooting mechanics give the learning process its sense of urgency. Hostile robots do not politely wait while players consider a translation, so recognizing instructions efficiently becomes increasingly important. This pressure can initially feel demanding, especially when studying a language with an unfamiliar writing system. Over time, however, frequently encountered vocabulary becomes easier to process. That gradual transition from carefully translating a word to recognizing it almost instinctively is where the game's educational design is most effective. Roguelike elements reinforce this approach by making failure and repetition normal parts of progression. Dying means starting another attempt, but previous exposure to vocabulary remains useful because the player's own knowledge has improved. Procedural elements and different starting situations provide some variation between runs, preventing every attempt from becoming an identical memorization exercise. Supply rooms can also introduce challenges and randomized rewards, creating another reason to explore and engage with the language systems. A training area provides an opportunity to become comfortable with the basic mechanics before tackling more demanding situations. As a shooter, the game is considerably more modest. Gunplay is functional and provides enough action to support the educational premise, but players should not expect the sophistication of a dedicated FPS built around elaborate weapons, advanced enemy behavior, cinematic presentation, or complex level design. Environments and animations reflect the project's independent scale, while combat can occasionally feel repetitive. The robots primarily exist to create pressure around the language-learning mechanics rather than to deliver exceptionally deep tactical encounters. Difficulty can also divide players. Someone completely unfamiliar with the selected language may find simultaneous translation, navigation, resource management, and combat overwhelming. Players with a little prior knowledge are more likely to appreciate how the game reinforces words they have already encountered elsewhere. The experience is therefore best considered a supplementary learning tool rather than a complete language course. It can strengthen vocabulary recognition, listening familiarity, and response speed, but it does not replace detailed grammar instruction, conversation practice, extensive reading, or structured lessons. The game's greatest achievement is making repetition feel purposeful. Traditional vocabulary exercises can become monotonous because the consequences of remembering or forgetting a word are usually limited to a score. Here, comprehension affects immediate survival and progression. A word that initially causes hesitation may eventually become recognizable without conscious translation after several encounters. This gives the player a tangible feeling of improvement that exists alongside normal gaming progress. Steam Deck compatibility is classified as Playable rather than fully Verified. The game can be played on the handheld and its performance demands are relatively manageable, but the experience is not completely optimized around Steam Deck controls. Some interactions may require touchscreen input, the virtual keyboard, or adjustments through controller configurations, while certain prompts may display icons intended for other input methods. These limitations do not prevent portable play, but players should expect occasional control inconveniences. Linguist FPS - The Language Learning FPS ultimately succeeds because it understands that educational games become more engaging when learning is necessary for playing rather than simply attached to the experience. Its shooting mechanics and presentation are relatively basic, and its language instruction cannot provide the depth of a dedicated course, yet the combination creates something genuinely distinctive. For language learners who enjoy action games and want an entertaining way to reinforce vocabulary between more structured study sessions, it offers an inventive and surprisingly practical alternative to traditional repetition.
