About
Fracture Point is a fast-paced roguelike looter shooter in first-person perspective, set in a realistic dystopian metropolis engulfed in a war between a powerful corporation and the resistance. After years of imprisonment, you return to join the resistance, with only one way forward, ascending through the many floors of a heavily guarded skyscraper to reach the corporation's leader and take your revenge.
Clear floors of armed enemies, gather weapons, armor, and rare items. Sell your loot at the base, upgrade your gear, and prepare for the next fight. But be careful - death is permanent, and you can lose everything.
Can you survive the tower and fulfill your vengeance?
Every run through the tower is a unique challenge. Procedurally generated floors with diverse layouts, numerous enemies, a variety of loot, and different interaction points: ATMs, currency exchanges, vending machines, and loot collectors define your journey.
Managing your equipment is crucial - every piece matters. Each weapon has magazines that need to be manually filled with ammo. As you fight through enemy-filled floors, the risks increase: loot becomes more valuable, but so do the threats. Will you return to base, sacrificing all your progress, or risk everything to climb higher? Your fate is in your hands.
Years ago, the city's ruling corporation betrayed you and sent you to prison. Their leader erased your past, destroyed your friends, and left you to rot behind bars. Now you're back, and with the resistance at your side, you have the weapons and the means to fight your way to the top. Floor by floor, you take down his soldiers and loyalists while he watches your every move, sending deadlier assassins after you, preparing for the final confrontation. But you won’t stop until you see his dead body.
You have access to a vast arsenal - ranging from handguns to assault rifles, with a variety of ammo calibers and magazines for each weapon. Find, upgrade, and adapt your loadout to suit your playstyle.

As long as you go into the game knowing it's made by a single developer and not a AAA studio with hundreds you shouldn't be disappointed. The game play loop is good, and the gunplay is rather fun, let the man continue to cook.
if Hole had a higher budget it would probably be like this game. gun play is decent and the loot value give brain happy chemicals in current version though it needs work. will track this for updates.

I don’t even know how to soften this — the game is unbelievably buggy. Like, shockingly buggy. Even the die‑hard fans wouldn’t deny it. Normally I can overlook bugs if the core experience is strong, but here the only thing that truly lands is the gunplay. And that makes the biggest disappointment hit even harder: you can’t mod your guns in an extraction shooter. That’s insane. I came in expecting a full weapon‑modding system, something worth grinding for. Instead… nothing. Total letdown. And what you can grind for? Completely unexciting. In Bodycam’s new update, you save up for legitimately cool attachments and ammo types. Here, you’re saving money for junk. Health upgrades? Sure — but every roguelike has those. A computer so you can play slots? Why would anyone be excited about that? The pacing is another issue. Waves come in way too fast, enemies never stop pouring in, and it’s so constant that you barely have time to drag ammo into your magazines manually. The game desperately needs breathing room so players can actually prepare instead of being swarmed nonstop. And then there’s the sound design, which is honestly rough. The prologue sets the tone in the worst way possible. When the main villain starts talking, he sounds like he’s standing in a mall bathroom in the 80’s, speaking into some cheap handheld recorder. It’s echoey, low‑quality, and completely kills the atmosphere they’re trying to build. It’s wild that this made it into the final product. The biggest heartbreak is still the missing equipment modding. This game has the bones of something genuinely good. The combat feels great, the intensity is there, and the atmosphere could work — but you’re grinding toward nothing exciting, unlocking things that feel pointless, and dealing with audio that sounds like it was recorded in a public restroom decades ago. It’s a shame. This could’ve been something special if the dev had implemented a proper weapon attachment system and tightened up the fundamentals. As it stands, the unlocks are lame, the progression is hollow, the sound design is rough, and the potential is wasted. Disappointed. The blood system is another problem. I HATE how the blood vanishes within 5 seconds. The blood effects themselves look good (when they’re not glitching), but the fact that they disappear instantly just reminds the player they’re dealing with pure jank. This game should honestly be early access. And I literally don’t get the Roubles situation. Why are you making the player convert roubles into USD? In the Steam store description, he lists currency exchange as a “feature”… but all you do is walk to an ATM and type in the amount of roubles you want to turn into cash. That’s it. HOW IS THAT A FEATURE? It’s just an annoyance. Totally pointless. Same thing with vending machines — he listed vending machines as a feature. VENDING MACHINES. They just sell soda that gives you 5 HP, which is basically nothing. The encumbrance system is also really weird. I had no problem looting everything I found… until I upgraded how much I could carry. Once I upgraded it, suddenly my character is full‑on sprinting while standing still. If I hadn’t upgraded, I would’ve been able to loot everything without being slowed down. Total bug fest. The entire game, you’re just looting junk — markers, CPUs, water bottles, vases, whatever random trash you find. And for what? The Steam store says “upgrade your gear.” Let me ask: UPGRADE WHAT? What are you upgrading? You might randomly find a purple AK‑47, but you can’t upgrade it unless there’s something I’m missing. Right now, the game is all grind, no reward, tons of bugs, and nothing meaningful to work toward. I have never seen a tactical shooter with this many problems and so little payoff. I have to refund this. And I’m sorry, but “solo dev” is not an excuse. This is not worth $20 — not even close. It’s worth $10, maybe $15 if the game is cleaned up. The price is shockingly high, and the dev knows this isn’t worth $20. How ridiculous. In one of his posts, he admitted he would only fix the things he was capable of fixing… yet he still charges $20 for it. I can buy complete, bug‑free games made by full teams for less than this. It feels like a cash grab, and like he’s using “I’m a solo dev” to evade criticism.
I can critque and nitpick a whole bunch but, ultimately this is hard to put down. I've been looking for a single player extraction shooter similar to 'HOLE' and I think this a good canditate. Theres been a lot of fixes in the last 24 hours and I can see the effort the dev has put into their little passion project. One thing I would add as constructive criticism is: make melee better and/or add a 'kick' function. The shooting is actually pretty great and responsive, keep up the good work.
This game is pretty fun, basically tarkov tower. im able to stomach the rough performance, it hasnt been too bad for me but for the love of all that is holy please move the "return to hub" option to the other side of the elevator door before i blow my brains out. i cant get past the 2nd or 3rd floor usually without accidentally hitting that MF and ending the run. Edit: The dev literally updated the game to fix my complaint overnight right after i posted the review. thats crazy work
Lovely game, solo dev. They clearly care about their product. It maybe should have been released as Early Access, to ease peoples expectations, but its a fun game imo. It's like payday and Tarkov had a roguelite child kinda I do truly wish we could mod weapons and sell items we dont actually want to use anymore e.g. healings, weapons, armors, ammo etc.
4 hours to complete the game, endgame is just an endless loop of the same floor and there's not really a satisfying end of any kind. I did have a decent time playing this, though I probably won't get back to it. It feels like a lot of reviews are in it for the /potential/ of the game, which definitely is there, but like as-is it's kind of a whatever game. Gunplay feels good, sounds good, viewmodel fov is absolutely horrid, the entire holographic sight is the size of what your crosshair would be in any other fps on some guns. I also got jumpscared a whole lot of times due to enemies turning the corner and yelling some ♥♥♥♥, which did add to the atmosphere, but the spec ops guys in the later parts have a completely different volume and audio quality to their voice lines for some reason? It did make them extra scary though. The music constantly fading in and out is also kinda of a vibe killer, if you zone out a bit you can just react to whenever the music rises to know if there's an enemy around because most of the time you can't see them without a flashlight. And in general the audio quality, volume, and mixing/mastering is just all over the place. Most of it is pretty good, but stuff like Victors breathing is a stylistic mystery to me. The game was the strongest at the start, when i felt a bit more threatened, in a situation where i was outnumbered and outgunned, gathering any scraps to sell as i could. That lasted for only a bit, because the lucky cat statue gave me a legendary shotgun at the start of a run, and also legendary armor. Wanting to see how far it would go, i loaded in and extracted as soon as i could a bunch of times, and farmed a full set of legendary items. So that killed all the tension of gathering stuff. Enemies getting stuck on glass doors absolutely nuke your fps, going from decent to a slideshow until you kill them. That all being said, solo dev, making games is hard, and the effort clearly shows in the good parts. The only reason i don't recommend it is because this really should've been in early access, if the dev cooked juuuust a bit longer this would be an easy game to recommend but right now it's a meh. But was it fun tho? Most of my intent to play the game was to see how far it was gonna take the premise but all you're getting is endless hallways, so meh.
even with the best gear in the game, the room that introduces spec op soldiers is wayyyyyy to difficult, in a game that I felt had reasonable difficulty up until that point. Losing all that top tier gear kinda just made me want to stop playing the game.
I don't like the wave system. Shooting feels unsatisfying. I can see the vision, but not the fun
