The physics in Legendary Tales was built to mimic the way real weapons feel and act as close as possible while still being fun to play. Weapons have their own weight so that larger swings will do more damage. Not only that but enemies and destructible items also react to how hard you hit them for a truly engaging experience.

Want to try sneaky kills with a dagger? Hit your enemies from afar with a bow? Or just mash some faces with a morning star? There are a host of different weapon types to suit your play style so find what works for you! And for every weapon type you will find so many variations on their stats thanks to random number generated items. The items are classed into five categories ranging from normal to Legendary. which not only look awesome but have special abilities. What abilities? You’ll have to get one for yourself to find out.

As you fight your way through the world, your character will grow based on how you play. But there’s more to growth than just how you fight, work your way through the magic and skills available to truly bring your character to the next level.

Weapons are fun and all but through the skill tree you can improve your abilities with combat skills or find yourself a Legendary item with their own special abilities and even more, you can upgrade their skills!
If hunting for weapons in the dungeons isn’t for you then we have good news! You can create your own weapons with ingredients found on your adventures, or by honing the weapons you’ve collected. You can also make potions to prepare deep dungeon crawling and disassemble items you found during your adventures to get ingredients and enhance your crafted weapons or potions with them.
Get ready for an epic adventure in VR! Put on your headset, find some friends and head into the dungeon to start creating your own Legendary Tales.

what I liked: From an early game perspective, the ability and skill progression seems great, and well paced, with lots of build variety. Parrying and bludgeoning attacks are pretty satisfying. I didn't try the multiplayer, nor did I get very far into the main storyline, so maybe the game gets better, but that doesn't solve the basic issues. What I didn't like: For a game of such a high price tag, the physics, hit registration, ui usage, npc dialogue, and quest design, all seems far too janky or poorly put together for anything over perhaps $20. This game almost feels like a scam with how low quality the npc models, animations, and ui elements are. Swinging a sword or stabbing an enemy will sometimes just push them even if it's a good swing/stab, and the weapons just feel unwieldy in a way I can't quite describe. Attacking just doesn't quite feel good. The worst part was how painful the main quest got once I had to find the alchemist. I spent almost an hour looking and I couldn't find the alchemist, even though I was in the right area (which, by the way, unless there's a map that I missed, I had basically just found it by complete accident). The map is also far too large for your stagnant walk speed. While looking for the alchemist I found the tormented gladiator (I think that's the correct name) and it killed me almost immediately. When I checked the quest opened by the boss it said that the alchemist sent me to kill the tormented gladiator, so I think I may have managed to do the quest out of order. Not enough polish for a $55 game, or a $37 dollar game since it was on sale when I got it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've seen a lot of negative comments and I have yet to experience much bad, small issues here and there but not every game is perfect. The price is the only thing I had an issue with so I bought it on sale ~33 USD. This game is 100 percent worth it to play with friends as one of my friends that lives In Europe experienced no latency or issues with ping. Enemies do scale with the amount of people present but the number doesn't so if you have 4 people its hard to make sure everyone has a foe to fight. Solid 8/10
One word summarizes this game neatly: Jank Go grab Battle Talent instead. Combat feels way better and more rewarding, physics feel far better and gameplay is way more enjoyable, and cheaper.
Been playing this game over the years and I love it. My friends and I played a bit during the early access and had a blast. Now that 1.0 is out we came back and love the story and what they have changed. Not happy that the price jumped from like 25 to 55 will make it harder to convince other friends to buy it now. Also one thing I'd like to see in the game is if the movement speed could be increase just a bit more.
It is a fun game and I am appreciating the continuing support to make it better. The gameplay was fun especially with friends, and games like this in VR are a nice discovery. However as many are stating the price increase to $55 which is on level with most AAA titles today is asking for a lot considering what is given. Game development isn't easy, but neither is coughing up $55 for a singular game you technically don't even truly own... I would recommend trying this game especially with friends, but I know that probably won't happen because that price puts a barrier between convincing your friend(s) to actually buy this game full price.
I love this game. Having a blast playing it. Recommend for sure
If you like felling the hordes of the undead, and don't completely hate fun, buy the game. Grip issues were fixed very quickly, hold grip is extremely competent now. The price is on the higher end, but I've clocked more than a few hours into this game. It's not a crime to wait for a sale if you're strapped on cash. I do believe it's worth the cost though. Side note, you will build back muscle playing this game. As it turns out, shadow boxing skeletons is a decent workout.
as someone who bought this game before the 1.0 release, id say the game is pretty fun, great even. but this is not a AAA game and its definitely NOT worth the new 55$ price. wait for a sale if you REALLY want this game.
A great game that has good potential. I hope this game gets more major updates in the future as I'd love to see what content would be brought into it.
