the game honestly wasn't as impressive as the reviews make it out to be. i did buy this with a friend but i got bored before i even got to play with him. we both refunded. when you first click the reviews on the steam page, you see stuff like: "best vr game ever." i gave it a try even though i was skeptical because it was cheap on a bundle and it came with ancient dungeons vr. MAIN GRIPES: it is obvious that this game was developed with quest in mind first, then just ported to pc for a larger player base. there's a certain "mobile game" feeling to it, maybe because of the sci-fi elements in an otherwise medieval combat game? the ui and everything around the base feels like its made to stimulate children. i'm just not a fan of the dark and dusty surroundings mixed with floating drones, hand scanners, teleporters, holograms, etc. the combat is just straight up boring, it turned me off quickly. why? first of all, two handed sucks. badly. you can't fluidly move the sword around or do anything with it. there's no way to adjust your hand position on the weapon handle like in B&S. there's no real immersion in the combat. it's way too arcade. you step back at insane speeds, dodging anything with ease. why not add a dodge button instead? implement it into a proper skill tree? there's also no real incentive to actually parry. even the sound effect and the visual effects for parrying are unrewarding. can't comment on enemy variety and such as i've only completed the tutorial, but some people say it's lacking, and you kinda notice that in the tutorial. just some zombies, skeletons and a bigger skeleton, all with a small selection of — for some reason — very fast attack animations. the bow feels weird, i don't struggle with it in games like B&S or Legendary Tales but here i often can't get a full draw or aim properly with it. the controllers also lose tracking because you have to draw the bow very far back. if you do it fast enough, it glitches out. PERSONAL ISSUES: the game requires an internet connection. why is this done? to prevent save modding and people cheating? but this isn't a pvp game or some sort of mmorpg. you could argue it's to prevent cheaters ruining other peoples experience but you could just...kick them out of the lobby? could also just not play with strangers and play with a trusted friend. could argue piracy prevention, but honestly we all know making your game online-only isn't the solution. also, I like to hold down my controller grips. its simply how I play and its never been a problem in any vr game i played because once you ball up your fists in game, you can't grab anything until you re-engage the grip. Not in this game, though. Why the hell is the default for hovering your hands over the holsters — literally teleporting your weapons in your hand? I've searched the settings and as far as I saw, there's no option to address this. I have to consciously fight my own brain to not grip my controllers, or else I'll end up taking out my weapons over and over while looting or moving around. Overall, this is something I'd see someone with lower standards enjoy. No real story to enjoy and the progression is very simple. There's no real complexity/depth to this game. It's fun for a short while. It's fun if you don't really care and are more casual about your VR games. Personally, it's not worth full price. If you catch it on a sale, maybe you'll get your moneys worth. If you like hanging out with strangers more than the actual gameplay, maybe this is for you.
Love the game Once i fixed my network settings. Great for a group of 4 . Love to see more content, like secret doors, more puzzles. door that need 4 wotking together to open
The community for the most part is kind and helpful. The gameplay loop is simple yet very satisfying. I play a lot of games in VR and this one by far is where I've spent most of my time in VR. I just keep coming back to it. It's always fun. I don't make a habit of writing reviews but this game definitely deserves praise. I buy every cosmetic pack they've put out in support the development. I wish they'd put out more as I would gladly continue to pick them up in further support. IF YOU"RE ON THE FENCE ABOUT WETHER OR NOT TO BUY THIS GAME, DO IT YOUN WON"T REGRET IT.
Very well put together game. Feels incredibly polished and optimized, and looks really good for low poly assets. The lighting and use of dynamic fog to enhance the environment is absolutely stunning. Sound design is peak and feels immersive. The gameplay and combat is super fun, especially when playing with friends. The only two Issues I have is that some of the distances between jumping platforms are just way to far apart for crossing without haste potions and secondly I think the inventory system could still use some work. A lot of times when I want to shelf something I keep accidently grabbing something off the shelf instead of out of my inventory, or the items don't want to auto place themselves accordingly. Those are really minor issues though. I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone who owns a VR headset.
I hate the mimics so much
Easily one of the best dungeon crawlers in vr. Although the combat physics are nowhere near blade and sorcery as far as the feel of the weapons. Its more of an arcade feel than weighty weapons and stuff. The archery in the game is really great but the magic needs a bit of work. For a team of 6 people its top tier! Tons of replay value and community is super friendly and Im NOT a social person. Great game and getting better.
Stupid repetitive.
поиграли с серегой и лехой , угарно, я распорол палец
feels like ♥♥♥♥ and has no height control
Honestly i fell in love with the game as soon as i used the bow lol
