It's one of the GOATS. Don't expect a lot in the cinematics department, this game has aged a bit. You may think you are buying this game for the steamy bits, but rest assured, you are not, and that statement won't make sense to you - until it does.
I liked this at first, but it starts going downhill fast. One of the things that I disliked the most is having to constantly use your character's cell phone and it's often not obvious that you have to do that. It's like his cell phone is the only way the creator could think of to solve problems and it's annoying. The game also deals so much with suicide that it gets depressing. I wasn't expecting it to be so heavy on that topic. Also, the last 1/3 of the game made me just wish that the game would end. Very few choices are made. It feels like the end of Lord of the Rings where it just keeps going on and on and on and you just want to turn the thing off. I wish I had not paid for this. One last part that I forgot to mention is that you have to choose who you want to be with very early in the game. No messing around with other women (with very few exceptions) and you can't even break up with the woman you choose.
Just way too depressing for an adult game. A bit too wholesome and serious with more crying scenes than H-scenes. Didn't find the story or chars to be compelling enough for me to forget this is an adult game. Come Home was probably the most similar game to this, but I enjoyed that much more. PROs: - Can tell a lot of work went into this - The assisted walkthrough was helpful - Good amount of content for the money, no need to purchase multiple chapters/DLC for full story CONs: - The music feels like a school yearbook slideshow, had to shut it off pretty early on - No Voice Acting anywhere, no sound for H-scenes - Jarring sound effects (alarm, phone ring) - The humor was a bit cheesy - Inconsistent appearance of models in terms of facial structure and skin color
Jesus where to start...The story is singular. Get this for that reason alone. 10/10 I took the path of
Cece
first play through and good god it was emotionally really tough as a result. Very well written and completely enguaged with the characters, maybe too much as that scene (you will know it when it hits) was really heart wrenching, then afterwards and the bus opening its doors, ♥♥♥♥ me, dont do that devlopers!!! . Take the in-game warning very seriously before proceeding... If you are in a dark place, this game is not for you This game is one of only a few, like Acting Lessons, or even Artemis, absolute S Tier AVN gems with a very very hard hitting story where choices ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ matter with many different endings. Though after my chosen branch, that was tough to want to replay. The soundtrack is also the best Ive experience, 10/10 amazing. High quality renders and great amount of animations. If you enjoy a well written romance story with an extremely impactful plot, then get Leap of Faith, you will not be dissapointed. ♥
I found this game to be something special. Way more than just some 'adult game', this is actually a quite moving story. I played it quite romantically, which cut down on the sex quite a lot, and I came away very impressed. Technically nothing special, but there were some very poignant moments and it's left a lasting memory.
This AVN is in my top 3 (out of 30+ played so far). My total time is 40-50 hours; I started with the free download of the first 4 chapters (outside Steam). This AVN was much more of an emotional rollercoaster than most are, with some pretty dark stuff (which makes the story much stronger and gives insight into the author’s history). Often I laughed out loud – lots of fund word plays / weird scenes. Other scenes caused a real lump in my throat, but in a good way. There are quite a few endings; the only ones I’ve not played is where it would drive 2 people apart, and the fact that I would feel bad doing so is proof of the emotional bond the characters created. After playing I’d have to remind myself these people don’t really exist. It is not all perfect, most noticeably it is a Leap of Faith that a world class rock star falls for the MC, or the story behind his previous girlfriend’s dissappearance. But, if you swallow those, the rest makes sense.
The Best i played yet
This is a weird one. The writing and art are excellent. I have no problem admitting I teared up more than once playing through it. I would say the first part, up to the end of the Lexi vacation, feels like a pretty regular AVN, and if that was the game I would say it was good, probably give it a replay or two. But it has several additional story sections tacked on. Again the writing and art are good, and it's obvious that the writer put a lot of experience and emotion into them. It feels personal. But I just don't see why they're in an AVN. Maybe it's the only way the writer knew how to get eyes on this content. Sad but probably true. While for the most part I appreciate what the additional sections had to say, I do feel they dragged. Basically this game feels like it has 4 endings, each happening one after another. It's very clear the story was not planned out as a cohesive whole. I do think playing it through was a positive experience, but I have no desire to replay any part of it now, and the serious sections feel cheapened by being stuck in an AVN. Your mileage may vary.
For me it was nothing short of perfect. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this game. Thank you so much Drifty. Cece, I understand... all my love.
