Reviews
This game felt a little shorter than the first two, but was still very good. The option to choose a male or female voice, or neither, for your character is an example of the game's quality. The voice acting isn't perfect, but it's good by HOPA standards. In this third chapter of the League of Light series, the focus turns to problems within the League itself. In the main chapter, you are tasked with finding and retrieving a colleague who has stolen an important artifact - and she happens to be the League Master's daughter. In the bonus chapter you must hunt down a spy within the League's own building. Overall: Get the whole series, especially if you enjoy a fantasy or quasi-fantasy setting. These are well designed and nicely drawn HOPA games. I was sorry to discover that Steam only has the first three in the series (the third game indicates there is a sequel). These games aren't especially innovative, but they're enjoyable. Pros: - lovely art and reasonable voice acting - good variety or both HO scenes and puzzles (mostly easy/medium, a few challenging) - collectables - reasonable in-game achievements - coherent story that feels at least somewhat connected to prior games - good world-building for a HOPA game - customizable difficulty level - fully interactive map Cons: - music is inconsistent (as with the first two games, it tends to play for short periods at a time) - minimal reuse of helpful items (i.e., "why can't I keep that knife?!") Good luck, Detective!
Your mission is to track down Louise, daughter of one of the higher-ups in the League of Light. She has stolen an artifact from the vault and has gone searching for her missing husband. As you track and try to retrieve her and the artifact, you are drawn into a mystery in a hidden valley in Belgium. One that is having issues with mysterious figures that may be from a forgotten city. Plot is engaging, HO scenes are fun, minigames challenging, and the art is beautiful. Also, there is an option to have your detective have a male voice, female voice, or no voice (first time a League of Light game has a voiced protagonist). Do suggest getting it in the League bundle.
I can't recommend this game enough. I've played over 40 of these hidden object games so far, but this is the one that convinced me to write a review. So here goes: Pros: -The art is fantastic; this is the best looking hidden object game I've seen yet. -Even the voice-acting is great. -The story-line is compelling. They managed to inject a feeling of adventure that I usually don't get with these games. -The controls are intuitive, as are the puzzles. Cons: -Though the game is very atmospheric, I thought the music was a bit lacking. Sometimes, it wouldn't even play. However, the surronding sound effects made up for it. -I don't remember having a difficult time with the puzzles. You probably won't find a brain buster here. On the other hand, I also don't remember thinking that any puzzle was a waste of my time either. All in all, I really had fun with this game and I feel that the creators really gave a damn about the final product.
Good interactive puzzles. Great graphics
First HOG I've encountered where you can choose a male or female voice for your character which I think is super cool. Another solid entry for the League of Light series, puzzles were enjoyable and lots of character interactions. The husband is a real dufus throughout the main and bonus story and is shirtless at one point incase that is a deciding factor to try out this game.
Eins der besten Spiele in diesem Genre !!
ist super
