Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.14/day in the week to Aug 25 → 3.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I have been enjoying this psychological horror/walking simulator/interactive narrative/puzzle game a lot so far. There have been plenty of "jump scare"-style spooky moments. The tension builds up well in each "beat" of the game. I'd say it's less scary than Amnesia and Outlast and closer to Silent Hill type scary... twitchy dolls, etc. and prop-based, physics scares. The scripting & game design is very cool in the sense that much changes and/or repeats as you move and look around. That makes you feel like the character - in a constant state of delirium. Update: Finished the game. I really enjoyed it. Overall, I really only felt truly "scared" once - but I think that is because Outlast traumatized me. lol. For real though, it does have a lot of "jump scares", but that doesn't stop it from being a solid horror game with an excellent plot, good replay value for seeing various outcomes, and achievements you can't help but want to chase (if you look at them. revealing hidden ones isn't super spoiler-y because you'll be all like, how do I even do that?). 4/5 would recommend.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 14: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Vale a pena zerar.
It’s a walking simulator with a few jump scares. For what it is the game is very well made. I really enjoyed the atmosphere the environments and the way the story was presented. The jump scares were not the scariest part for me. The atmosphere and environments were much more disturbing and that is what really scared me. I found the story very engaging especially later when the DLC focused on the child’s psychology. I still prefer the main game but seeing the story from the child’s perspective completed the story for me. What really makes Layers of Fear special is the art style. It is one of the most artistic games I have ever played. Without the art I do not think I would have liked the game as much. However, the Mother and Child ending was bugged for me. I had to replay it six or seven times before I finally got it. Even though I kept getting the Mother ending every time and it became obvious by Chapter 5 it was still important to complete it properly so the ending would count. Considering this is a 10 years old game I think it is acceptable. Overall the combination of art and psychological horror made this a very good game and I loved it. Next I will play Layers of Fear 2
