This game is probably not bad but I can't recommend it. The "story" here is that a man keeps repeatiing sequence where he wakes up and looks for his family members, but with each repetition his "life" keeps falling apart more and more. It was interesting at first but it got old fast. Everythimg becomes more and more ridicoulous with each repetition. This part of game really didnt click with me. Also I encoutered bug where puzzle woudn!t accept corect solution, I had to exit to menu and load save, then it started working. (very frustrating experience) The ending and like last 1/4 pf game was pretty good tho. Still can't recommend.
My Score: 4/5 One of the most beautifully designed walking simulators I have come across. Not sure I fully understood the story in the end, but the journey kept me engaged and admiring the graphics. I feel there was a lot of detail put into the design which made it very realistic. Even with an older AMD card it ran very well.
This is a walking simulator with 0 horror and a story that makes 0 sense. Should be $1.99

obscure puzzles in my spooky games are not to be tolerated.
REVEIL feels like stepping into someone else’s memories and slowly realising they’ve been left out in the rain too long. The entire game has this uneasy dreamlike quality where nothing quite feels stable. Rooms change, reality bends in on itself, and the circus setting somehow manages to be both beautiful and deeply unsettling at the same time. The further you go, the more it feels like you’re wandering through grief, guilt, memory, and denial stitched together with flickering lights and distorted music. I especially loved the atmosphere and visual design. Some scenes genuinely feel like walking through a nightmare disguised as a theatre performance. The sound design deserves praise too because half the tension comes from tiny noises and the feeling that something is slightly “off” even during quieter moments. The puzzles were mostly enjoyable and the story kept pulling me forward because I constantly needed answers, even when I suspected I probably wasn’t going to like them. It’s less about outright horror and more about psychological unease and emotional deterioration. If you enjoy games like Layers of Fear or slower narrative horror experiences where the environment tells as much of the story as the dialogue does, this is absolutely worth experiencing. Also I now distrust circuses even more than I already did, which frankly feels impressive.
great game 10000/10 graphics are amazing, story that twist puzzles hard but still brilliant artwork
Reveil is a short little walking simulator with a horror vibe, but it just didn't hook me. I forced myself to finish it for the sake of finishing it, because I knew it was a short game (-5h). The story makes absolutely no sense and the controls feel incredibly heavy but at least it is visually pleasing.
The last 1/4 of the game is somewhat interesting, but the juice isn't worth the squeeze given that the rest is slow and predictable exposition with just an occasional QTE section that doesn't work with the ponderous controls. Shame, as the art design and execution is actually quite good.
