Short But Enjoyable. And its Less Expensive than other JRPGs

Last Heroes is a short, linear JRPG. The story is nothing fancy, nor is the gameplay. Still it is entertaining and has managed to keep my attention. Perhaps this is because of its simplicity. It reminds me of some of the classics I played as a kid. It is well-balanced (in my opinion), and other than some spelling/grammatical errors, I have not encountered any noticeable bugs. I'll definitely check out the other entries in the series.

I can't say anything positiv about this game (sorry...no!). This is one of the reasons why RPGMaker games are seen as easy cash milking. Even if this game is over 8 years old...back than there were better ones made. It is very generic: Again you must save the world. With your party (the usual mage, healer, thief, figther) you travel from basic camp (your castle) to dungeon a than back to camp and up to the next dungeon. In each dungeon you encounter just a pair of different enemies...once you kill them they are gone for ever...so no grinding. Because you don't have much money and items are seldom you'll often travel from dungeon to your base and back. Because you can't grind each area is a constant death trap and the save button your best friend. And even if you fight your way all to the big bad boss....you'll find that you are underpowered and must hope that you're lucky.

If you like these little RPGMaker-ish games, you could pick it up on sale for a dollar. Nothing special though.

This game has a super repetitive game loop, some poor translation issues, and a simplistic style. I hope the 2nd, 3rd and 4th parts of this series gets better.
